I've been a patient at this clinic since it opened years ago. My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Rezvani, and I cannot say enough good things about him. He has been so kind, so knowledgeable and so helpful to us both. He is prompt with phone calls for a phone visit, and we never have to wait more than a couple of minutes for an in person appointment. He has referred us to some really great specialists, and he is always willing to give us advice and support. The office staff are really friendly and helpful, also. No one in that office has EVER been rude or unprofessional to us. He has helped us through some really traumatic life altering events. I cannot recommend Dr. Rezvani highly enough. I have been coming to this clinic for years.. I've seen a lot of dramas here created by ridiculous patients. I guess this is what a walk in clinic has to go through always. People seem to be just acting whatever and rude to those receptionists and doctors when they don't get what they wanted. They exaggerated a lot of time, and threw anger on the staffs. I felt bad seeing those ladies and doctors get yelled by ridiculous walk-in patients. I have been treated very nice by the doctors, like Dr. Rezvani. He is always very calm and listen to my concern. I had no bad experience with other DRS either. To me, this place is where I will continue to go! is convenient and those front ladies are fun to talk too also. I normally go to this walking clinic, but it was my first time seeing DR.REZVANI. He is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL , and IGNORANT. He started screaming as soon as he got into the room. Over the years we have seen several doctors at this office, and they were all incompetent. We experienced problems with the support staff too. Referrals were misplaced and forgotten about. My wife and I had to change the time of an appointment with Dr. Rezvani to a later time that day. After being shown to the exam room, Dr. Rezvani came in and he was very angry. He treated us like refugees, and he made us beg for our pain medications! Then he yelled "SHUT UP" at my wife! I immediately told him not to talk to my wife like that! He was inconsiderate, rude and disrespectful. We were very confused at his behavior. I felt terrorized by this doctor! When Dr. Hassam found out about the problems with that visit, he called us in. We seriously complained about our last visit with Dr. Rezvani. He wouldn't listen and disregarded the effect Dr. Rezvani had on me, and then banned me from his office! What the local public was saying about these doctors and staff were true! Dr. Rezvani and Dr. Hassam denied us our basic Canadian rights to good and decent medical services. They certainly got paid well for the many years we spent with this office! read more

Walk-in clinics are a crapshoot. You either arrive at a war-like triage waiting area or you luck out with a near empty lounge. Luckily I ended up with the latter. Conveniently a dental and medical clinic and attached to a pharmacy, it's hard to beat. There were only 2 people ahead of me when I arrived. I was behind an old man I'll name Mr. Magoo (I'll explain soon). Front desk gal was not your standard 'what do you want?!' b*tch of most clinics. She smiled. After about 15 min I was put in a room. Now comes the comedy. One negative: the heating ducts limit confidentiality with the room next door. The positive: hilarity ensued. Mr. Magoo, likely 70+, spoke in his own version of English. I think he came in complaining of some lesion on his hand, but kept rambling in jibberish which the doctor couldn't really understand. Near the end of the visit it sounds like he whipped out his wang randomly to show the doc some 'issues' (which the doctor was already aware of from a previous visit). The doc's response cracked me up "put that thing away. Just use the cream I gave you... Seriously put that away". Mr. Magoo chuckles. I was gonna joke around with the doc about what happened but opted to be discrete. The young Chinese doc was friendly, helpful, and fast. I'll come back for the chance at another Mr. Magoo encounter. The ladies at the front are polite and same with the pharmacy right beside the clinic very convent at to see a doctor and pick up your medicine asap. I saw Dr.Rezvani was very polite, professional and helpful with my situation. read more

BAD service! I have been visiting the center since this March and each visit had the bad experience because of the unprofessional front staff! They scheduled my appointment with the doctor at the same time when she had the planned internal meeting. Yes, the receptionists were not being able to schedule appointments properly. They seem very unprofessional! Here is another example. Once I arrived for the appointment with the dermatologist which has been booked earlier he denied doing a mole removal surgery because of having lots of patients for the day. But I had the referral from my family doctor. He should have taken me anyway. Again, the receptionists did not check his schedule for that day but I had to spend hours to commute. And now what? I should schedule an appointment again. This clinic is very busy. read more

The pharmacy next door is awesome. Its a little mom-and-pop sort of place with that sort of feel; the son and his parents get to know you as you come in to get your refills and ask about your family, pets, how you're doing, etc. Very friendly - and cheaper than shoppers too! read more

I'm on several medications and because, at the time, finding a regular doctor was next to impossible, I had to visit this clinic on a regular basis to get new prescriptions and I'll tell you, what a horrible, horrible nightmare that was. To start out, the clinic just makes up its own hours. Don't be fooled at the hours they post on their door; it's a clear lie. Some days they'll close as early as 2pm and other days they'll open even an hour before it's posted time. Some days they'll just be closed on a regular day - sometimes for 3 straight days or more, and this isn't even on statutory holidays either! Because of the nature of the medication I take, if I were to ever run out, I'd start to have withdrawal symptoms which makes my day to day life extremely stressful. Having the clinic closed when they're not supposed to be, on a day when I'm supposed to get a new prescription really frustrated me - even more so because the pharmacy is also attached to the clinic and its hours so I couldn't even ask for an emergency supply. The clinic is also very small. Having the dental and the medical clinic separated on either side of the waiting area minimized the amount of seating as well. For a time, the clinic didn't care who sat where, but after a while only dental patients could sit in the dental seats and medical patients could only sit in the medical clinic seats. The receptionist would sometimes get upset if someone wanted to sit where they weren't "supposed to" EVEN IF the seats on the dental clinic's side were completely vacant. Because of this, many people were left standing, some elderly and even some parents with their young children. Then there's the wait and the first-come-first-serve policy that the clinic now follows. Initially the clinic didn't do this, but then they decided that NOBODY could make an appointment with ANYONE. The wait sometimes got so ridiculous that once, I was told that I'd be helped in "About 3 hours". At that point, I just decided to go home, rest and come back later; there was no way I'd sit in a clinic for 3 straight hours just to get a piece of paper that says I'm eligible for a refill. Not to mention that people would come in, sometimes in wheelchairs, crutches, or have some very visible disability or sickness and would get straight up denied entry by the receptionist because "we're full". Even regulars, who needed to get their medication were denied. The doctors themselves aren't that bad at all if it weren't for the fact that the days the doctors were working were ridiculously inconsistent. This meant bad news for doctors who never saw some patients, especially regular patients, like myself, and had little to no given information about them. This lead to some doctors having differing and sometimes contradictory opinions, prescriptions and advice to give when compared to other doctors. One doctor even denied to give me a refill prescription on the basis that she didn't know me. Forget about medical history and whatever's on your file at the clinic, if the doctor doesn't regularly see you, you'll outright get denied to things that keep your health in check. Lastly, I need to mention the pharmacy that's attached to the clinic as I mentioned earlier. The pharmacist was a very nice guy and was very understanding and very helpful - until the moment you brought your business elsewhere. Because of the clinics absurd hours, I once had to get an emergency supply of my medication from a Shoppers Drugmart, which is right across the street from the clinic. When I got my actual prescription, I brought it to the clinic's pharmacist and with a single word he said, "No". He didn't even explain why, didn't give me a chance, just "No". I assumed it was because he knew I had gotten my medication from a different location. Because I wanted to avoid confronting him and ultimately put this entire wreck of a clinic behind me I just left and never looked back. For anyone who's reading this review and deciding to go here, ESPECIALLY if you need to see a medical doctor, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, go somewhere else. Do yourself and your health a favor and avoid the Highgate Medical Clinic. read more

I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. Horrible and rude doctors who are disconnected, have a lack of empathy, condescending and really rude. One doctor lost his temper and yelled at my mom for asking twice about a problem she was worried about. Firstly, respect your elders. Secondly, be patient and understanding of the worries of your patients. Having a degree and some doesn't simply make you qualified. You must know how to deal with people. I have doctors in my family in other countries. This is a shame to your field. Empathize, smile, be positive, understanding and patient. These are simply the rules of co-existing. Grow up people. There is no place for condescending and rude people. People have enough worries in their lives. When they trust their health in your hands. Don't play God complex or shoot them down. Negative experiences can be disheartening and people may no longer have faith in doctors anymore. I had a hard time convincing my mom to go see a doctor again as she was scared if she'll be talked down to. This is unacceptable. read more

I came yesterday around 5 pm with my 3-year-old daughter who has a fever for the 4th day, and I was told the doctor was not there anymore. I asked if I can see the doctor the next day, and the receptionist said they are all booked, but if we come the doctor will definitely see us. So we came today, and were told right away the doctor is booked and no more patients for today. On the BC Health Clinics link they say no appointments necessary. What kind of walk in clinic is that? I dread going to this medical clinic, the receptionists are almost never at their desks so you have to wait a long time to find out that you have to wait even longer(2-3 hours) to see a doctor. There isnt really anything to do while you're in the area, there are some Chinese and Japanese restaurants around so you might be able to grab some wonton or miso soup. There's a frozen yoghurt place too, if that's your preferred way to sooth throat pain. If you're feeling up to it there's a Value Village around the corner. But honestly I wouldn't go here if you don't live in the area. The receptionists are usually rude when they finally get around to you. The offices are tiny, dirty, dimly lit and the walls are very thin. One time I went here for what I thought was a UTI and when the test came up negative, instead of discussing with me the other possible causes of my symptoms, he sent me away with some antibiotics anyways, which didn't work. According to the pharmacist the amount he prescribed me for seemed totally inappropriate even if I did have an infection. Throughout the experience the doctor was condescending and absent-minded. Other times I've been here doctors would barely look at me as I spoke to them. The hours at this location are totally unreasonable, they stop taking appointments/close whenever they want to, which sucks because they already have inconsistent hours. Usually they stop taking walk-ins at 3 or 4 even when they are supposed to be open until 7/8, I've never been able to come in after school or work because of this. They are closed Sunday/Monday, which is horribly inconvenient. With this kind of business ethic I wonder what the point is of even running this clinic. I live close by and I usually have to go to one of the clinics around metrotown anyways due to the ridiculous hours here. read more

I am always willing to commend when great service has been given and always reluctant to the latter. But this was the most horrible service I have ever recdeived from a medical centre. I walked in because I was so sick and couldn't make it to my doctor that is situated further out from me. The initial visit was great; as a walk in clininc they obviously have longer wait times and when I had filled out the forms and checked in the receptionist was nice to advise me that it was about an hour wait at this time and that I could come back after an hour while still holding my place. GREAT. I come back and the doctor says it can be one of two options and states that we have to rule out one to ensure the appropriate treatment and I would have to get bloodwork done to determine this which will come back to the office the next day. I was givena prescription to keep on hand and told not to fill it until we get the results because if the results come back one way the pennicillin will not work and should not be taken and if its the latter I will have to hash it out and just let it take its course. I was also told I am contagious annd depending on the blood work I may have to be off work longer or if I can take the pennicillin I wil have to wait 2 days to go back to work to ensure I will not pass it along to my co-workers. Great sounds good. I get my bloodwork done after the visit at the metroown biolabs and wait for the next day. I called since shortly after opening and was told "the results are in but the doctor has not reviewed it yet". and to call back just before he is due to leave. I call back around that time and told again that they have not loked at the results and they are tending to new patients but I was assured that "will remind the doctor before he leaves to review so that you can get them today". I pass by a little afterward as I was feeling more able than earlier and pass by and the medical centre is closed for the day. So I have a presciption in my hand, which I can't fill and I have no clue what to tell work because this clinic is more focused on getting patients in instead of diagnosing them so they can work on getting better. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed in this treatment. I cannot believe that the doctor refuses to take a few minutes to review the results so that i can get on my way to getting better. I will update and see what happens next my friends, hopefully they will just forward my result to my doctor and I will not have to deal with them ever again....to be continued read more
