I scheduled an appointment for my husband's first visit at this office, which I had noted as 9:15 AM. He arrived at that time, only to be told he should have been there at 9:00 AM to complete paperwork--and that there was no longer enough time for his appointment. He rescheduled for Monday. Shortly after, the office called to change the rescheduled time, which was fine. But then they called again to say he had "rescheduled/canceled too many times" and that the dentist was refusing to see him at all. Just be aware--this is the kind of policy and attitude you're dealing with. If anything goes wrong with your timing, even on a first visit, you may find yourself dropped altogether. We've brought our children here multiple times in the past, but after this experience, we won't be returning. I've never encountered such inflexibility in a practice that serves the public. It just doesn't make sense. Thankfully, there are plenty of other dentists out there. read more

Just wanted to offer a different experience I had with mint dental. A lot of people on a NWA MOMS Facebook page recommended them but honestly they are VERY AGGRESSIVE in their treatment plans. This is coming from someone who went to them because of recommendations from that group and was new to the area and didn't know anything else. Now that I've had a second opinion from another dentist in town I have switched and will not be going to mint dental again. Just wanted to share my personal experience. They were really nice and I had no issues with them, It's just more of a different approach to treatment. Please remember to always advocate for yourself and get second opinions. read more

I had a wisdom tooth pulled at Mint Dental. The procedure went well. Their staff was professional and did a good job. The aftercare is where they failed. They told me to take ibuprofen and Tylenol, the problem is I have stage 3 kidney disease and cannot take ibuprofen. Their advice was to take just the Tylenol. They refused any other options for pain management and left me in agony. If you go there arrange pain management beforehand because they will not help you. read more

The staff here are absolutely AMAZING!! I was in so much pain with a toothache, I had an appointment with a different dentist and unfortunately they were closed due to the cornavirus. I was recommended to mint and they took me in immediately! I'm a single mother and I've been off work because of the virus. I was concerned about not having enough money for the visit. I have been going to Mint Dental and Dr. McCord almost since he opened his doors. When meeting him, you immediately can tell that this guy is the real deal. Honest, open, compassionate, knowledgeable, smart and funny. The staff is absolutely top notch and the culture there is so positive and fun. They even have a therapy dog!! Mint Dental has expanded and now has three dentists working out of the office. If you're looking for a dentist in NWA, this is the one. I promise. DON'T RECOMMEND: I had 4 teeth pulled because I have been in so much pain and really though it would give me some relief but sadly I am in more pain now than I was before! I have not ate or sleep in 3 days! When I asked the Doctor about antibiotics, he told me that " I WOULDN'T NEED IT" and he recommended me to just take Ibuprofen! I paid $1100 between me and insurance to just be in more pain now than I was before! Again the reason why I hate the dentist in the first place and on top of all that I have infection on mouth and nose which I didn't have before I came to Mint Dental. Therefore, I have to go to the Urgent care clinic the morning and spend MORE MONEY to fix this because Mint Dental would not help me! read more

Given my previous 12 years of experience in the dental field, I am super particular about who I choose for a dentist. I recently had to switch due to insurance. I am beyond thrilled with the choice we made! We got to meet both Dr. McCord & Dr. Knox while we were in the office (husband and I went together). They are both extremely warm, friendly & knowledgeable of concerns we had. I am very grateful to have found them. Both hygienists we saw were equally as sweet and knowledgeable! Even if we have a change in insurance in the future, I would be hard pressed to leave. It has been years since I've been to a dentist. All my previous jobs provided dental insurance along with health insurance so I was very diligent. I, after all, had an excellent dentist who was also a DMD, not just a DDS. And he was so skillful he really was painless. I actually enjoyed going to the dentist. So much so that I even worked with him and his assistant for a short period but things went south. My life was changed. Things happen. I lost dental coverage because I became a caregiver to my family members. I was then on medicaid and dental was not covered. Fast forward to 2013 I am now in a different state altogether. My new job was only part time so no coverage and then the ultimate nightmare happens... a filling falls out and I can't afford dental work. But I contemplated it. Only contemplated it. Then the worse happened a year and a half later there is an excruciating pain! The poomp poomp of throbbing pain. Sounds like that commercial huh? Well I finally conceded after several dosages of ibuprofen I caved. Got some recommendations from my pastor and Mint Dental became part of the conversation. And even though we were in the midst of Covid 19 my greatest fear was sterilization of things going into my mouth... but I called and was immediately given an appointment. After all it was an emergency tooth wise... upon arriving there the instructions on the door was sign in and wait in your car. Staff will usher you in when time was ready. But since no other patient was there I was allowed to stay in the waiting room. The staff was busy but very courteous. When called, I was introduced to Tasha who ran me through a series of state of the art xrays and exams. It was amazingly professional and the areas very clean. I was then examined further by a very gracious Dr. Chelsea Knox and the rest is now a short history. I needed that tooth pulled it was chipped can't be filled... my fault for waiting so long. Few days later after finally getting PCP approval it was pulled. Everything went smoothly, and it took longer to prep me than it took to pull the tooth. Pain? Well yea it hurt a little but Dr. McCord head dentist performed the extraction did it so quickly and there was only an initial tug then it was over before I could say supercalifragilistic 2 times... meal replacement shakes for 2 days and I'm a happy camper. I admit that first day and evening was a trifle difficult slight gagging of blood but nothing disastrous. All in all everything went super great!!! I've found a dentist but I just need to find a dental plan that I can afford. They do have a kind of an in-house plan which covers two cleanings and discounted services and even a care credit card if you qualify (which I didn't). But hopefully I found a "home" with Mint Dental in Centerton, Arkansas. Great people, awesome service, friendly atmosphere! Take your frown there and turn it into a great big, beautiful smile! read more

Dr. McCord and his staff are wonderful. Their office is nice, with fun features like an iPad room for little kids, and Netflix enabled ceiling-mounted TV's above you as you're having your work done. They're small town and remember you, but have all the latest equipment. They offer extended hours as well to make it easier on patients.
