    It's the most useless urgent Care system I've ever encountered…read more When you need urgent Care, you need care .... urgently. When it's urgent, you aren't sitting around at your leisure, doing your research, looking at your schedule, making appointments, you're DRIVING to the URGENT care facility ... because its URGENT. So at best, you might have time to call while on the way, to make sure theyre open, verify location etc. But then you find out they dont take walk-ins and you MUST make an appointment...ONLINE. They can't do it over the phone ..even though you have RIGHT THERE on the freakin phone ...no, you MUST do it online. Only to discover that theres a freakin multi-page, multi-process application process with 15-20 or more little boxes you must fill out, all with info& instructions in TINY little print ... and remember, YOU'RE DRIVING because its freakin URGENT! WTF is the point of an "urgent care" facility that you cant go to with an URGENT situation? And seriously!? You already have them on the phone, they know it's urgent, but not only do you have to make a stupid appointment, they can't even do it when you're right there on the phone with them!!! What a joke! You know, this place would be a great spot to run an URGENT CARE facility ...instead of this worthless system designed to create dangerous driving conditions and drastically increase risk of serious accidents from distracted drivers already stressed due to the freakin URGENT situation they're dealing with.

Demanding to see my Medicare card which should not be carried around in my wallet ! The service provider Brittany and the nurse were incredibly helpful and polite super caring about my need's , however the receptionist needs to take a wellness day and stop coughing all over patients and get an attitude adjustment asap. I would not have BCBS healthy choice MEDICARE if I did not have Medicare ! Get informed and do better !

New to the area and feeling all hopeful, I began the noble quest for a new primary care practice. After dialing more numbers than a telemarketer on a caffeine binge, I finally struck gold--or so I thought--when Avance said they were accepting new patients. I filled out the online new patient forms like the responsible, tech-savvy adult I am (Network Technical Engineer). Then I called to confirm like a good little human. Their response? "We have no record of your forms.".....Cool, cool. No big deal. Maybe they're just... hiding. I filled them out again. Called back......."Still nothing." At this point, I'm wondering if their inbox is a black hole or if I accidentally sent the forms to Hogwarts. I fill them out a third time, and FINALLY, on March 11th, they seem to crack the ancient code of "how to open a file," and I get an appointment for April 28th at 4:20 PM. A bit of a wait, but hey, we're finally getting somewhere. Fast forward to 3 days before the appointment: I got an email asking me to confirm--but surprise! My appointment is now 4:40 PM. Huh. Mysterious. Not the biggest deal, I move my meetings around to accommodate and get ready. Appointment day arrives. I show up early (15 minutes early, because I'm a grown-up and still believe in punctuality). I'm armed with: My new patient paperwork (for the 4th time), Prior medical records, Prescription list, and a glimmer of hope. I walk up to the front desk. Give my name and date of birth. The receptionist squints at the screen and hits me with: "Oh, your appointment was canceled. The provider isn't here." -Cue record scratch.- Excuse me, what? I ask if maybe someone else can see me. Or perhaps I could come back tomorrow. The answer? "No. The next available appointment is June 10th."That's a whole new fiscal quarter. No apology. No "let me check with my manager." No "we'll get back to you." Just a big ol' "meh, maybe next time." So I leave. Obviously. Once outside, I call their main number. A call center agent gives me the corporate apology special and says she'll notify the manager, who will "definitely call you back." Spoiler alert: 48 hours later... nothing. No call. No email. I even log into their patient portal and send a note directly to the provider (Debra W., if you're reading this--you left me hanging again). Still nothing. Bottom line? In today's healthcare world, patients are treated like they're just the next item in line at the DMV. What used to be "how can we help you?" has turned into "take a number, and maybe we'll ghost you later." So, if you're looking for a compassionate, responsive, organized doctor's office, you might want to keep on scrollin'. This ain't it. May your search be shorter, and your patience longer than mine.

Dr. Lynch came in the room already seeming angry and committed to misunderstanding me. She got ALL the details I had shared with the nurse WRONG, including medications I was on for the issue and what had worked in the past. When I gently and respectfully tried to correct her, she quickly spoke over me and began to lecture me on how this was an "urgent care for urgent issues" (umm ya pretty sure deep cough, lung pain, and nausea is urgent) and that I just needed to wait and call my ENT or go to the ER. Then when I became frustrated and finally (for once) stood up for myself and told her she wasn't listening to me, she went off about how she was "practicing good American medicine blah blah blah"....I have never been so handily dismissed and it was the only time in my life I have actually walked out of a doctor's appt. It was horrible and I cried the whole way home. She also stated in her notes that she offered me a steroid inhaler which she did NOT. Why lie about that?! My experience was very much like the other negative one written here about her. If you're considering going, I would definitely call ahead and ask which Dr or Physician Assistant is seeing patients that day and go somewhere else if it's her. You'll thank me.

    I am switching to UNC Family Medicine at Fuquay-Varina, N.C…read more I supplied my information to UNC Family Medicine to become a patient of Michael Steger, as their website said he is accepting new patients and I was a patient of Michaels when he was with a Doctor's office in Apex, N.C. which is where I live. He's the best. They emailed to me an appointment date and time of Monday, August 22, 2022. Here's the rub. Today 8/19/22, to be proactive and supply my personal and medical history with UNC Family Medicine for my first visit scheduled for Monday (08/22/22), I tried to call the office using the phone number supplied to find out if there is a www that I can post my information to, for them to have ahead of time. After holding over 30-minutes, I realized the number supplied to a patient or prospective patient is a boiler-room that catches all calls for all of their dozens of locations in this area. After disconnecting, called the main number at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill and the person answering the phone there (almost immediately) didn't seem to know about these Doctor's offices UNC has all over everywhere, nor did they recognize the number supplied to me, and does not produce a human being after 30-minutes. I am going to rise from my chair, ingress my car and travel the 14.85 miles X 2 to determine if they exist and try to get the information I was seeking by phone. That will finally decide if I wish to do business with them in the future. I know I like Michael Steger as my health care provider, but the roof he is under will ultimately decide. After all that, I will feel I have done my part. I can update this review or post another after making contact, whichever is the protocol for this outlet.
