I came here after a fall where I hit my forehead hard. The triage person should have sent me to an ER since their office cannot do a cat scan. Instead they checked me in and told me to wait (without even offering an ice pack). 1 1/2 hours later, I finally saw someone for about two minutes who told me to go to the ER. Fir this, they charged my insurance over $600, about $150 of which I had to pay, My bill from the ER, where I was actually diagnosed and treated, was less. read more

these are private hospital and their charges are exorbitant. be aware of it they will not share this information with the patient . they will send a hefty bill to your house. The customer service and patient relation is very rude . physician assistant was with me for only 2-3 min and they charged 300 for that. i will never go to this place again. read more

I made an appointment this past week because I was in a lot of pain. I arrived there 15 mins before like they asked and I didn't get done until 3 hours later. I understand that urgent cares tend to have more of a wait. However, 3 hours (with an appointment) is a little absurd. On top of that, I felt rushed while meeting with the doctor. I'm not sure what happened that day, or if they were understaffed, or what. When I arrived I was told it wouldn't take that long and that there were only 3 people ahead of me. That was clearly false information. Anyways, not a huge fan of this location. Won't be going back. read more

I am so impressed with the staff at Duke Urgent Care Morrisville. Yesterday, I experienced a severe allergic reaction and wasn't sure if I should use my epi pen. I checked online and saw the wait time here was only 0-15 minutes. I called on the drive over to ensure they didn't want me to go to the ED, but they said to come right in. I really appreciated their attention before I even arrived. When I arrived, they quickly checked me in and called me back (even though there were two others waiting..an allergic reaction must have precedence). I ended up having 3 nurses, a PA, and a doctor checking on me. They ended up administering an epi pen, but kept me incredibly calm and well informed throughout my time there. They allowed my fiancé to come back with me which also truly helped my nerves. I am very grateful for the care I received here. I had also experienced drive through testing at this location about a month ago through as Duke University staff. The process was quick and simple. read more

Worst waiting timings....for 10 min appointment takes 3-4hrs wait time...Horrible...Horrendous!

I was appalled at the misinformation perpetuated by the staff at this urgent care clinic. No one was aware that the CDC had updated testing criteria for COVID-19. From the front desk staff to the nurse and the PA, all incorrectly cited outdated CDC testing criteria and were unaware of research showing carriers can be asymptomatic. I told them not to take my word for it and showed them the NCDHHS (North Carolina Department of Human Health Services) website so they could see the updated criteria for testing. While I was aware of the low probability of having it, the PA I saw (I would have seen a doctor if given the choice) simply said, "I just don't think you have it so I'm not going to test you for it. I only have 20 tests." I was confused. At this point the conversation, she wasn't even aware of my symptoms. I told her and she just repeated, "I just don't think you have it." I'm still not sure what the basis was for her diagnosis and she was unable to explain it despite my asking. As a Duke alum, I expect more from a Duke-affiliated facility. read more

The doctor was very kind and helpful. Took the time to listen to all my questions and ended up making sure I was not going to have any future issues (x-ray, shot, etc.). I thought it was going to be a super long wait in a Sunday, but I was done in 1 hour with everything I had. This is now my Urgent Care location. read more

Duke Urgent Care is conveniently located in the Perimeter Park area. If you are needing an appointment, I would recommend that you go online and schedule it. I have been twice now and have not waited more than 5 minutes before getting called back. Jamie Stabile is great and I really liked having her both visits. I will be using this urgent care in the future because I like the staff and it is a convenient location for me. One thing that I want to mention is that if they are referring you to a specialist make sure it is for your issue and not because it is the first available. I had an issue recently where I was referred to a hip doctor instead ankle (just because they both worked at Duke Orthopaedics), luckily they were able to squeeze me in with the correct doctor when I went. read more

Back in 2014, my dad and I went on a road trip together (just a little less than a year that my mom had passed). My doctors in Florida would not give me medication for my dizziness so I had bruises all over my thighs and legs from bumping into things. The doctors at this clinic gave me a prescription to help me in the mountains (because I was severely dizzy with the altitude changes). Come to find out a few months later after getting back to Florida that is was Meniere's Disease. My ENT at the time didn't want to believe it because of my age (mid 20s). Without stopping at this clinic, I may have never made it to see my aunt for the last time in Maryland. We would have had to cut our trip short. Our final destination was Statin Island to see cousins. I really hope they have kept up the good standard of care through out the years. read more

I wish revenue would not be a sole driver in urgent care these days. We went there with trauma that was obvious, they knew they could not fix it, but still admitted, x-rayed, administered Tylenol and sent us to the ER 40 mins away, where we waited another 2 hours while little guy was in so much pain. We will be billed for this visit, then separate charge for ER. Worst part we lost precious times everywhere, and what could have been a reduction, ended up a sophisticated surgery costing $20K plus. At least children should be spared from shameless money-making craze that modern medicine became. read more

This Urgent Care is conveniently located in RTP on the border of Morrisville and Durham and perfect for those professionals who need a medical opinion. Today I had some concerns about a foot/toe fracture so I headed over. To my delight, there was only one person ahead of me in the waiting room at 11am and only one or two patients alreay being seen. Apparently you can check in online?!? That option was not offered to me when I called at 8:30am to inquire as to when the "best time" to come was though. I waited about fifteen minutes, at the most, to be taken back where a nurse did my intake (almost 10 minutes). Then I was escorted to a room (the second waiting room -- another 10 minutes?) where I waited to see a physician. Dr. Kennedy treated me today and I really liked him. He really listened and quickly put in an order for X-rays. Less than 10 minutes later someone came to take me to radiology. That took about 15 minutes. Then back to my room to wait, but not too long. Dr. Kennedy came in to advise me. No fractures, but potentially some cartilage or tendon issues so he said he would send my images off to a final review, but, in the meantime, is referring me out to an ortho. He offered me some narcotics, but we opted to decline because I do "well with pain" (it's been a month like this so...) and prefer the less medication the better. I like that he recoginzed and gave his opinion on how I'd handled these issues to start, discussed options with me, went through each step quickly, and also advised me respectfully. It was kind of like working with a teacher -- they tell you what you've done right and what you should do to improve, but a good dialogue. My issues with the facility were that their machines seemed a bit slow so I was there for 2 hours despite the fact that they weren't very busy. It's a great location, very clean facility, and all staff was friendly and professional. This will definitely be my go-to when I need medical care at my home away home (oh work...). read more

I like the staff and care received, but there is a problem with the online scheduling system. This is the second time I've scheduled an urgent care appt (one at Crosdaile ofc and tonight at the Morrisville ofc.). When this happens it doesn't matter what time your appt was, you are listed as a walk-in. I could take a screen shot of the appt screen, but I doubt it would make a difference. read more

I went in on Memorial Day for a sore throat, making an appointment and filling out my demographics ahead of time made my visit very fast. I had little to no wait, and I felt very taken care of by the staff, from the reception, to the nurses, to the doctor. My prescription was written and filled right away, they even had a list of pharmacies that were open on the holiday. Highly recommend this urgent care. read more

I asked for a test today and was told it was not available . It's a reasonable test to provide . The Clinician I saw had used it at a prior job site and asked Duke to make it available . Duke chose not to do so . I have worked in an UC setting and I am saddened at the continued erosion of types of care available at Triangle UCs . I injured myself while on vacation and needed an urgent care. Based on reviews and location, I tried Duke Urgent Care in Morrisville. The location was easy to find. The on-line wait times were accurate. Check in was smooth and I found all levels of interaction courteous and efficient. The doctor was very helpful to get me what was needed to get on a long plane flight the next day and gave me a note to ensure the airline got me wheelchair assistance. I'm sure I'm going to get a huge bill in the mail, but I got what I needed at the time and was impressed by their cleanliness, professionalism, and while not giving me any miracle cure, got me through a 10 hour travel day the next day. read more

We love this location and use it often! The staff is awesome, the wait times are next to nothing and we always feel comfortable and like we matter. My daughter broke her wrist, and we went straight here, we were xrayed and casted and out in 35 mins, that's unheard of, especially since we felt thoroughly cared for. Showed up a little after 8am and there was only one other person waiting. Had to wait for about 5 minutes or so after giving my insurance information to the intake person. The physician's assistant that examined my son was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a good bedside manner for kids. Our prescription was called into our pharmacy and we walked out with written instructions in about half an hour. Super easy - no hassle. A great option if you need to be seen quickly outside of regular doctor's hours. read more

Amazing staff!!!! Seen us right away because of my daughters breathing. Was very friendly and kind with my daughter. Very patient and all around amazing experience. I've never said that about any sort of medical office before. Some of the experiences my husband has had with Urgent Cares he was hesitant and me taking her to one but this will be the one we go to if needed. One of the nurses even brought me a bottle of water while I waited it was very sweet. I wasn't even expecting that, usually they are always too busy to be thorough and friendly at other places we have been to but I definitely recommend this Urgent Care!! read more

I usually go to Rex Urgent on Cary Parkway. After I read the comments here, I thought I'd give it a try. I don't think I'll go back to Rex. It was just before lunch time on a week day. It took about 20 mins in and out. As soon as I finished my paperwork, they called me in. I had to wait for a doctor after my vitals were taken, but not more than 5 mins. Prescriptions are directly sent to your pharmacy. Everything was so quick. At Rex, they make you wait. It doesn't matter if you get there before it opens and wait at the door, it would take 30 mins to see a doctor. Somehow, I believed it's too far from me, but when I checked with my map, hey, it takes only 2 mins more than to the Rex. Now no reason to go back to Rex. read more

Front desk staff, radiology staff, and Jamie Meghan Stabile, PA provided quick, professional medical care at 5:30 PM on a Saturday. There were two people in front of me in the waiting room yet Urgent Care staff worked each patient up quickly. I was in an exam room within 10 mins of entering Duke Urgent Care. X-rays confirmed my right foot was broken and I was on my way home within 30 mins. I highly recommend Duke Urgent Care Morrisville for acute care. Time in and out of urgent care will depend on the volume of patients and their severity, but sure the office staff will try to get you in and out quickly. read more

Visited last week after I cut my hand requiring stitches. Was called right back after filling out paper work. The nurses were great and the practitioner, Mera, was amazing! Very thankful I went a mile further then my closest urgent care, to get fantastic service! 7 stitches later I was out of there in a little over an hour. I have gone to this facility before and been quite pleased with both information and drug choice but seeing the turn over in staff and the quality of the doctor, who was sick herself and wearing a mask coughing near me, during my time with her I would think that unless you know what is wrong with you and just need a prescription go to your regular family doctor you'll get better service . read more

I was visiting my daughter and she came home from work sick at lunchtime but was told that she needed to get a sick note if she wasn't going back . Her PCP didn't have any appointments available so we went to urgent care. We SPECIFICALLY asked if they took her insurance and they said that they DID and she just paid the $20 co pay. However, we have now been billed $546 (even though she was only there 10 minutes!) They did a flu test which came back negative but they said to ignore that as it is often negative and said that she had the flu (not really much point doing the test then....). They gave her a sick note but she was fine after 24 hours (so probably not the flu then!). When I called the billing department they said that they didn't take our insurance so we had to pay the full amount, even though they had said that they did. So I had to pay as my daughter couldn't afford to. Not very professional at all. read more
