I thought that by donating these items perhaps an elderly person or Veteran would have found these items useful. I was informed that the recliner and sofa were unacceptable but the bureaus were allowed. The catch was that I needed to pay to have the two bureaus picked up for 100.00, wear a Mask and stay away from the men that were loading the two bureaus. Lots of demands for free items. I do not deal with tyranny especially when I am trying to do a good deed, to help another in need.

Several staff members came across as dismissive and rude, and I was given information about the shelter waitlist that later turned out to be inaccurate. When people are seeking shelter, they are often in vulnerable situations and deserve honesty, respect, and clear communication. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Moreover, the employee working at the front or the intake area was extremely unprofessional with her assumptions that I should have known the protocol & procedures in donating. Clearly, I did not as I was following the incorrect instructions provided to me over the phone. Nor be told in a condescending manner to "walk down the street to Goodwill or Salvation Army"...I walk myself back to the parking lot & along the street blessing individuals who were in need as I waited for my Uber. I applaud the charge of any shelter nurturing the betterment of others, expressly as a former shelter occupier & volunteer. Nevertheless, all employees/volunteers should know the basic processes when representing a temporary housing environment, specifically if there are non-wavering guidelines to adhere to. The owners must be as well. She had to have open heart surgery last year and the employees helped her incredibly by giving her THEIR time off! Somehow, through HR and the awesomeness of these folks' human nature and the company this was able to happen. I live across the country and could not feel better about a place of employment for my mom. I've met the individuals that she takes to places of employment or enjoyment, on a daily basis. The are beautiful respected and cared for. Especially by my mom! She loves her job. She loves these people and I am so thankful.

The staff is more than wonderful; they go out of their way to make the residents happy and comfortable. Whenever my mom needs assistance with anything, someone is always there to help. The director, Barbara, is a godsend; she has gone out of her way to help my mom adjust with her new living environment. Barbara has helped me with many tasks as I live in another state and can't always be available when my mom needs assistance. Mom says the food is delicious and frequently there are delicious home baked treats for dessert. I especially like that the residence is small and has a homey feel. When searching for a residence for my mom, I looked at many places. I believe Sutton Home was definitely the right choice.

He developed an infection and there were no medical providers available. Despite this fatigue and shortness of breath from the infection, he was brought to PT. As his performance was not great given the infection, the PT pushed him and appeared annoyed that my father couldn't do what they wanted. The nurses are incompetent and the aids spend most of tgere time on there phones. Call lights are rarely responded to. Speaking with the higher level administrators was eye opening. No one is competent there. I am a medical professional and know what adequate care is. This facility was reported to the authorities.
