This store is the first Miniso that I have ever visited that is not in a mall. It was different seeing a standalone store. You can get cool items at cheap prices. I stumbled on the sunglasses section first. I tried on a few pairs. They felt cheap, but stylish. I like the merchandise in Miniso, although I have yet to buy anything from the store! For instance, I liked the bear USB 4-port hub. It was adorable. It would look great with the bear trash can. I do love the computer and phone accessories. I could look at the USB fans and charging cables all day. There are tons of snacks. If you like Pocky, you can find practically every flavour imaginable. The stuffed animals and water bottles were at the back. I liked the varieties and colours. There were a fair number of folks shopping when I was there. The exchange was refused, even though the item was unused and the request was reasonable. What was most upsetting was the rude and dismissive attitude of the staff when I calmly explained the situation. I understand store policies, but customer service should also include courtesy and basic understanding. Given the circumstances, I believe some form of compensation (such as a store credit or exception exchange) would be appropriate to acknowledge the poor customer experience.

It's on the most lower level of the mall. Same level as the Food Court. It has the largest selection of luxury brands of all the downtown-ish Winners (more than the Alexis Nihon, Complexe Desjardins and Peel Winners). I spotted an Yves Saint Laurent bag for $2700. They had Gucci shoes, sunglasses and hats. Some Chloe, Ferragamo, and Valentino bags too. And other brands. Their luxury brands are locked up in glass displays so you have to get a staff member to unlock it for you. The contemporary brands like Coach, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, and Kate Spade are out and about for you to handle on your own. This location is large and has a jewelry section and children's clothing and shoes as well (these sections are the first to be cut in the smaller "urban concept" stores, and even though this location is urban it's definitely a full-sized store). It has the usual women's and men's clothing and shoes and housewares. It's also always busy and crowded. So my feelings about it are mixed. I love the size and large selection but I hate the crowds. I used to sell yarn and fabric, so I loved the different textures and materials on display, from a luxuriously dense knit sweater to an elegant silk blouse. The design of each item was trendy but approachable -- I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda lady but I saw things I would wear. So why didn't I come home with a whole new wardrobe? Price, of course, sigh. Les Étoffes is definitely a special-occasion boutique, and alas I was only sightseeing. While I was there, though, a young man was trying on shirts and mentioned that he was making his first L.E. purchase. It seemed like he'd been looking forward to that day for a while.
