Buses take forever to show up and don't run often enough. You end up waiting 20-30 mins for a bus. Buses are never on time either. They blast the AC in the summer to the point where I'm freezing cold and practically get sick. Don't blast the AC! It shocks the body too much. read more

The bus driver picked me up outside infront of my condominium in Port Credit. I said good morning and he did not respond which I thought was rude but I ignored it. Then a few mjns later a gentleman with a walker struggled to exit the bus. Another passenger got out of his seat to help and he yelled at them saying he is using the wrong exit. We looked on in shock. I got up to get off my stop and he yelled at me to stay behind the yellow line I attempted to tell him I was well behind the line and I will be getting off. I simply told him he should be a bit more compassionate to riders and he told me to " shut up you cunt". Then I told him he is an asshole as everyone was shaking their head at hos behaviour. I have been in Canada for 10 years and this is the first time I am motivated to leave a bad review for anyone or anything. MiWay is the absolute worst transportation provider I have ever experienced. I recently moved to Mississauga (April 2025) and already I was injured 3 times due to driver incompetence and neglect. They close doors on people and blame system failure. Whenever you report an incident you are later informed that they can not disclose the action due to privacy reasons however operations will provide couching. Yet days later you see them same driver on the very same routine harassing other passengers. I've even begun to have panic attacks and anxiety when boarding and off boarding. During one call I asked if they can assign the driver to another route and was informed that the union protects the drivers so there isn't much to be done. Honestly say what you will about TTC but I have never had a bad experience. I am female, black, Muslim and every bit a minority nevertheless TTC drivers male or female always treated me with respect, they stopped when they were supposed to and held the door from closing until the passenger was safely at a distance. Being new to Peel Region I assumed 311 would help after the 3rd incident but to my surprise I was asked to call MiWay and request a manager as if I hadn't done so already - mind you I also informed the 311 agent as well that I spoke to a manager but yet she sent me back there once more. MiWay will continue to under perform as there isn't any repercussions for them or their drivers! read more

if I could give zero stars I would! with all the reviews about miway being inefficient and unreliable you'd think these reviews would be taken seriously or changes would be implemented. I have a bad experience with miway 90% of the time. Getting to work a half hour to an hour late on a regular basis is ridiculous. people living paycheque to paycheque don't deserve to have their pay docked because of a transit system when they are at the stop on time. The worst transit ever, they don't know how to make a perfect schedule sometimes the buses are early and sometimes are late, i had to change 3 buses in total and my last transit is the go bus, i missed go bus so many times because my first bus is late and my second bus is early. This transit system is good but some drivers are really careless. They do not even stop the bus on the stop even after seeing the passenger at the stop. It has happened to me 3 to 4 times as I was waiting for the bus and the bus driver did not stop the bus at the stop. read more

I use Miway frequently usually without issue. However route #4 is pathetic. Expect long wait times. Seriously they should probably get rid of it. This way our expectation wouldn't be an issue. We can just use Uber, they show up on time read more

A very interesting place that not many people know about. People are using this as a catch-all page to review the transit system as a whole, but I would like to talk about the head office that is located at 975 Central Parkway. This isn't a place I ever intended to visit, but I did so last week (as of this writing) to attend a transit infrastructure press conference. My experience with the staff was fantastic, as I was initially lost and unsure of where to go until someone (one of the lead supervisors, perhaps) was able to guide me to the parking site where the conference was taking place. I got to see a ground-floor on the operations that go on at the facility, as the staging area for the conference was held in what appeared to be a hybrid office/locker room, before we all moved into the main transit garage of the site, which houses dozens of vehicles and is ground zero for vehicle maintenance and repairs. The press conference itself was primarily intended to announce funding for MiWay, to the tune of nearly $400 million over the next decade. There are several sectors in the city where these funds would be best served, which is why I was glad to see the commitment being made. That dovetails into my views of the system as a whole. Some of the reviews on this page are laughable. I've had my share of bad experiences with MiWay over the last few years, but to say they're worse than TTC or the GO (where I've actually had to sit for nearly an hour as they worked to fix the train I was on due to a key part failing) is hilarious. Everyone has bad experiences - two weeks ago as of this writing, for instance, I had to wait more than an hour to leave a bus stop in Meadowvale (one of the aforementioned sectors in the city). The municipal government knows about the problems and frequency issues - on the frequently-traveled lines like the 19 or 1, it's fantastic and you can be back home in half an hour or less, but it is known that anything outside of that can be spotty, which is not a problem that's unique to MiWay. When 100+ kids are trying to cram onto a bus at Port Credit Secondary School, of course there are going to be delays. I'm not trying to be an apologist here, but some of the reviews blasting the system for things that are outside of their control and can't be solved without further funding are laughable. And within that context, Mississauga is a minnow in the ocean compared to T.O., which is getting at least $2 billion to develop additional LRT lines, subway upgrades and much more. Context is everything. I see the system having additional challenges, but MiWay has rarely steered me wrong and I've had plenty of positive experiences, and my recent journey to their head office only reinforced that perception. read more

Bus drivers are either miserable or completely obnoxious. I've had buses drive right passed me saying "sorry full bus" on them because 2 people we're standing next to the driver while the rest of the bus had empty seats. The current 3 Bloor driver on my route belts out singing country music songs so loud that people at the back of the bus are covering their ears. She spunds like a badly injured animal in extreme pain. She's also started pushing cable packages on passengers. I can't even make this nonsense up. There's no complaint line. Probably because they'd be overwhelmed. These transit operators act like toddlers with a driver's license. Most of the passengers on MiWay are human garbage. Back packs, music & kicking people are norms. No one ever gets up for seniors, disabled or pregnant women. It takes a lot to beat the TTC but MiWay does it. Nothing to be proud of. read more

absolutely the worst transit system I have ever experienced. Signs everywhere stating that you must not abuse the drivers but they are completely able to abuse the customers. Very rude and ignorant to people who's first language is not English. Today I had to wait over an hour for a bus that didn't show up and the next bus went by without stopping because it was full. Miway does not seem to know how to proactively deal with service issues. They don't care that their paying customers are constantly experiencing horrible service. Hmm... Mississauga Transit (now called MiWay) does have a lot of potential, especially with their new busway opening up in the next couple of years. If we're talking about today, however, the transit system is meh. It's definitely better than YRT, but let's face it...I don't like odd frequencies (e.g: every 14 mins, every 17 mins, every 36 mins, etc.) as it'd be hard to memorize when the bus actually comes. This wouldn't be an issue if the route is frequent, but in many of the MiWay routes this just isn't the case. I do like the MiExpress routes that they have (just two years ago getting from Meadowvale to Square One in 20-25 minutes would've been impossible), though some of them have the potential to operate all day, and rightfully should so there'd be seamless connections across the city regardless of where you live. Case and point, I've ridden worse transit systems than this, but MiWay has a lot of things they can improve on. read more

Incompetent bus drivers who don't pay attention to their routes. Every time i pull the cord, they always drop me off at the very next stop. It's so annoying when i know all the bus stops to my route. On top of that, customer service agents are extremely rude. One of the female agents spoke to me on the phone today and she told me that bus 19 doesn't exist since 4 years ago when i asked about bus 19. What a dumb lady. I take bus #19 to work everyday in the year 2019 and it already existed SINCE THEN. The female agent gives me attitude on the phone and she continues to argue with me that bus 19 didnt exist in 2019. Very incompetent lady with no knowledge of her job and she should be fired for her terrible personality and unprofessionalism, along with 90% of the Miway bus drivers who dont know how to do their job properly. Also, bus #19 started to not exist LAST YEAR IN 2020, NOT 4 years ago. Ignorant people piss me off. Most of the time never come on time, delayed from 5 - 20 min. Sometimes your bus might disappear. The bus you were waiting for will be come an "not in service" bus, which means you have to wait for the next bus after 15min which can also be delayed for 5 - 20min, and also can be a "not in service" one. read more

My god....I thought TTC was bad, but MiWay/Mississauga transit is so much worse. Before I had a car and when my dad had a store, I would take the a bus from Meadowvale TC to South Common Mall and transfer there to the 24 that heads to Oakville Place. This could take anywhere between 1.5 - 2 hours. Not because of the path it took but because of the infrequency of the buses. Like really? It's only a 20-25 minute drive from Meadowvale TC to Oakville Place. I understand if it took an hour due to stops, but 1.5 is way too much. Of course this was over 10 years ago. -My most recent experience was taking the bus from Cooksville GO to Hurontario and Central Parkway (about a year ago). It was a snowy day and I didn't want to risk driving. Keep in mind that the driving distance here is about 2-3 minutes and the walking distance is about 15 minutes. So looking at the schedule, I see the bus comes every 10 minutes or so (during that time). So I'm on Hurontario, patiently waiting and then no bus shows up after 20 minutes and I say screw it, I'm walking. I get it was a snowstorm, but it's very poor. -My 2nd most recent experience: My car is at the mechanic and I ask the bus driver at the Cooksville GO station what the best bus is to get to Square One. He says "look at the schedule - I don't know - bus goes to street X (I don't remember what street), but not this bus". So rude. Mississauga Transit isn't even that busy, streets aren't that congested and is nothing like Toronto, so I don't get the rude conduct. Do they have something in the transit handbook saying "Must treat customers like crap"?. I just got fed up and walked the 30 minutes. Verdict: Don't bother with Mississauga Transit until they get an LRT. Try using the GO, cab it, drive or bike (in summer months). read more

No really. You're just better off walking. Let me now regale you with the exploits of a young man that worked in a factory not a ten second walk from a bus stop. At his point of departure he was a two minute walk away from a bus stop. The distance between his home and his job was roughly a fifteen minute drive. Can anyone answer why it took him no less than three hours to get to work each day? The answer of course is Mississauga transit. I lived in Streetsville for a handful of years and in that time I learned a few things; One - People with money are crazy no matter what racial background they hale from. Two - It is not cool to throw money at your children in lieu of spending time with them because they will learn how to make a bong out of everything or become vegan and start a hardcore band. Three - Mississauga transit is only good for creating traffic jams and giving people stress migraines. The funny thing is, once I moved back to Toronto and started taking TTC to that place it took me just over an hour. read more

In my opinion, if you want to see how a public transport system should NOT be operating, There is no better example than Mississauga Transit. I live in Mississauga and frequently travel to Toronto for work. I always make it a point to avoid Mississauga Transit. Each instance I try to use Mississauga Transit I am in for an unpleasant surprise. Two days back I found that the new Mississauga Transit terminal has no Ticket booth, No counter and no ticket machine and no one to even talk to This is a main terminal. How very considerate of MiWay ? How very (in)convenient Yesterday, I had get to Toronto & back. My car was in for a repair and I could not get to Go Station and I decided to use MiWay. Two full hours and a few more minutes to get to Richmond & Sherbourne from Erin Mills, one hour and forty minutes out of that in Mississauga Transit, just to take one bus from Erin Mills to Kipling Station on Dundas because the connecting bus from bus stop near my house arrived earlier, I had to run to the stop as a result but the operator never bothered to open the door. I stood in front of the door in desperation while the operator simply ignored all my signals, waited for the traffic signal in front of him to turn green and took off, compelling me to walk almost a kilometer to Dundas street. The frequency of busses on Dundas seem to have changed and I had to wait almost 20 minutes for the next bust which took a cool fifty (50) minutes to arrive at Kipling terminal, which has become the most inconvenient connecting point between MiWay and TTC, with an inevitable, almost a 10-minute walk though a tunnel. Thanks to TTC, I only got late by 15 minutes for my appointment. I will not make readers weary with the story of my return journey which was only worse. The operators are inconsiderate of the passengers to the core, to say the least. Stopping for a cup of coffee at Tim Hortons in the middle of a journey while the passengers wait inside the bus in desperation, is the their work-right. To stop in the middle of a journey at a bus stop and to wait for a few minutes at least twice (as if they are trying to release some stress) during a 10km run is absolutely normal. Bringing a bus into bus stop at a terminal, waiting inside the bus without opening the doors for the lined-up passengers shivering at -20 degrees Celsius is normal. There is no limit to their rude behavior. If you are South-Asian, be prepared to be treated like garbage. If your first language is not English, you are a third class passenger. I have been in Public Transport systems in many countries in Asia, many Cities in Europe, I have never experience such inefficiency, inconvenience and rudeness anywhere in the world. not anywhere even in Canada read more

Miway is possibly as bad as public transportation gets. Buses are never on time, going as far as not even arriving until the next scheduled time. This is in addition to the unfathomable wait times of sometimes over half an hour for a single bus to arrive. I cannot count how many classes I have been late to as a result of the poor punctuality of the Miway bus system. read more

I must give props to the bus #7 Airport, both North/South! This stop is located at the City Centre Bus Terminal (Square One) and it takes approx. 40-45mins to reach Terminal 1. I *think* a ride costs about $3.25. Being a driver, I haven't had to take the bus for decades. However, if I'm going on a trip, I find this particular route very convenient and more cost effective than Park 'n Fly (at least $10/day) OR a taxi ($50-60 for a 20min ride). Bonus points if you have someone drop you off at the terminal! Works well if you plan your route properly, re: check the bus times, aware of how long your trip will take, and arrive with enough time to check-in at Pearson. What is not so great is that the bus stop is outdoors and the indoor shelter is a bit far to wait inside with your luggage. Not so great if you're travelling during the colder months! Also a limited number of seats where you can sit with your luggage. read more

You can use it if you don't mind how long it is going to take to get to your destination or if it is to work you better plan to get 30 min earlier and maybe you will be on time (specially if you need to take 2 buses) read more

I've been taking route 57 - Courtney Park for the past 6 years and it's been a disaster. This route operates only every half an hour during rush hours and even that is with lots of problems. - sometime one bus doesn't show up AT ALL - there is never any action taken to accommodate for the problems on the route or with the bus breaks down - the bus stops, either in terminal or even enroute have no shelter and waiting so long in cold winters is not fun! read more

I regularly take the 1W to work in the fall and winter months when I can't ride my bike and am often left stranded in the cold or rain, without a shelter, for over an hour. Today I was left with frostbitten toes and incredibly late for work. This bus should run more frequently, it's on Dundas, one of the busiest streets in the GTA! I've called to complain many times, all they can do is give me a free fare, but I have to go to the Square One terminal to pick it up... which is over an hour away from my house. Waiting for the bus at night at one of those stations buses usually take 5-10 min breaks depending on time. This was at night time so there was only one other person waiting for the bus with me. The bus arrives stops ahead of the bus stop post, other person gets on then the bus immediately shuts the door and speeds off. I had to run and knock on the door of the bus to get it to stop. Not only that, as I get on the bus the driver condescendingly says "you're welcome" as if I should thank him for stopping when he clearly missed one of the only two passengers there. 4.5 stars. Never had a problem with Mississauga transit. They've updated their schedules on more popular routes so there is less waiting times. People are complaining about how much longer it is than a car. Well duh! It makes stops... If it's such an issue take another type of transportation. Anyways adding presto makes it a lot more easier and I love how your transfer starts when you tap & not when the bus starts it's route like with the paper transfer. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is with the drivers. They are a hit and miss. I always say hi and thank you when I get on and off the bus. Some of them don't even respond to you. I find that really annoying & rude; if you're working with people on a daily basis show some customer service skills and be polite! Then there's other ones who are super friendly and if you stand at the front they will actually have a conversation with you. ( not that safe, but it's nice to talk to them) ** also one time I caught a bus driver actually talking on his cell phone while driving the bus, that really pissed me off and I told him to put it away, he started giving me attitude, like I would have been fine with him pulling over and taking the call if it was that important, but please don't put my life as well as the others on the bus at risk. ** read more
