They do canoe tours for members along the Ghost River. Early on an October morning we drove out to the end point and then were dropped off with our guide and motley canoeing crew. Both of us had been canoeing before but not in a long time and that became readily apparent as soon as we got in the water. Our guide was very helpful though and before long we were able to steer the canoe...kind of. Our tour was lots of fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot about the river itself and the natural world surrounding us. The river and its surroundings were stunning. I would recommend a tour to anyone who wants to get out of Memphis and into some wilderness.

My family has been coming here for the past 30+ years. Was always a great time. Unfortunately it's…read morejust not what it used to be. The cabins need some TLC. Ours had actual dust bunnies rolling around, a pair of dirty underwear hanging on the chandelier above the dining table, terrible smells in the fridge and sink, leaking fridge which would soak the kitchen floor with water, an overall weird smell when you walk in and tons of dead flies by the windows and tons of flies flying around. When we told the owners, they didn't seem to care or do anything. The pier and dock also need some TLC. Our rental boat looked like it hadn't been cleaned in over a year with dirt, gunk, and garbage all over the deck. Wouldn't be hard to take a power washer to it once a month. There was a dead fish floating in the live well that Renee said she would remove but never did. After the first day fishing, we asked them to fill up the gas tank but they never did. This meant we couldn't get an early start the next morning since we were out of gas. We never got gas. One morning, we went to our boat and it was missing. They gave our boat away to someone else. Our boat had worms in it we bought from Walmart and Renee offered to give us some worms then ended up charging us twice for the box of worms she offered us...which were extremely overpriced btw. Charged us full days for using their boat even though we had the boat back by noon or before everyday. One of those days was a late start because of not having gas. Said it's because they reserved it for the full day for us. You mean the same boat you accidentally gave to someone else? Yeah...okay. Doesn't sound very "reserved" if you ask me. It's unfortunate this place isn't great anymore. Lobo Cabins and Dock need better maintenance, more attention, and some new energy. Don't think that's going to happen though. Seems like they are just getting by if that. I suspect the bank will take this place over in the next few years. They have already sold off a few cabins. Probably to stay afloat. With a price of $270 a night, we wish them best of luck but until things change, we won't be coming back. Lindsey's Resort has better management, nicer boats, and cabins are literally half the price. Was going to give 2 stars because of our past memories of this place but after reading back my review, it's really a 1 star experience.
