I overrated this place by 1 star. I would remove the one that I gave if I could. WARNING Do not deal with this place!! When they were just MISSOURI FLAT STORAGE this business was second to none. However, Storage Pro bought the place and brought with them all the "customer service" reserved for the lucky ones needing service at the DMV. This MEGA- corporation is not interested in customer relations, rather, they only care about profits. And it shows. I had been a loyal customer of the former business for YEARS. But once STORAGE PRO gobbled up another small family run business, they weren't able to merge the information of customers AUTO-PAY payment information from the former business owners records. I had paid ON TIME with AUTO PAY for years. I travel out of the U.S.A. a lot so I wasn't aware of their inability to handle such an easy task. By the time I got home and found out they weren't capable I owed 2 months back rent. No biggie, I called them up, explained the situation and asked them to remove over TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS in fees related to their inability to transfer my payment information into their system. Do you think they agreed? Would I be writing this if they had? No, they told me it was MY FAULT. My fault? I paid the back pay PLUS the fees and will remove my belongings this month. I recommend all of you... BEWARE. read more

Initially, their services were superior. It degraded exceptionally fast when we fell behind on n our bill. We called to find out what dollar value would be required to bring our account current. Based on that call, we set aside the funds to pay our bill. Luckily, I called prior to heading down to the office because we were quoted another price. Needless to say, their communications regarding payment sucks. During our entire time on the phone, there was no mention made that the only payment acceptable was cash. We spent a day driving down to and back from the bank to obtain the cash. While we were driving, someone spoke to my daughter and failed to provide her with the entire story, thus throwing my relationship with her into excessive turmoil. They won't take a debit card for payment but have absolutely no compunction providing partial and incorr3ct information. The communications on their part failed once again when they didn't tell us the office was open, but access to the units was restricted. Again, happenstance prevailed, and we drove to make our payment and at the time was informed that our bill was due in 10 days. Today, as we were lined up to remove our furniture, we were graciously informed that our bill was late and access to the facility was limited. Based on the day we paid and their built-in grace period, our bill is current until Sunday. We got the last of our property out of the unit today and not a minute too soon. They need to be clear as a bell about types of payment options and to whom they are divulging customer information. My daughter and my grandkids are now no longer speaking to me thanks to someone who had no reason to comment on its status since they didn't accept credit cards for payment. There are a plethora of other facilities that provide their services, and I'm betting that none of them would have the temerity to share business information with parties who are not contractually bound. All of the positive things evaporated quicker than a snowball in hell by failing to keep their mouth shut. Upon asking them if they would reach back to my daughter to apologize for their transgression, I received a rather indifferent NO from the front desk personnel. This is an example of the cliche that a million pats on the back vanish with a single screw up. read more

I went to pick up key for storage unit I had reserved for first 30 days free and manager???couldn't find the reservation. I showed him the text. He didn't care, also called the call center. So I went from first month free to $359 a month. I went to Placerville Storage and got a much better deal. So thank you Storage Depot for your poor customer Service! read more

Went there for a last minute storage as our military family is moving back home. The man working there would not honor military discount because the active duty member wasn't physically present as he is still across the country which is never an issue with my spouse ID. Super high rates and rude service. If you have a big moving truck don't plan on being allowed in there. Found a real nice storage facility elsewhere with much lower rates honored our military and no extra fees. Much better places in this town to store your stuff than here! read more

We highly recommend this business. the staff were super accommodating, friendly, always welcoming us with a smile. we sold a cabin and were storing furniture, etc, for about 18 months while we remodeled another house. we never needed to access the unit until a few times at the very end. The unit stayed dry, odor-free, and undisturbed. The hallways, parking area, lobby and restroom are always spotless. We paid a very fair price and felt like there was excellent value in their service. Glad to have found you all, and hope you continue to succeed. read more

My Mom has been using this storage facility for roughly 8 years. She has always had great customer service. If she ever had questions they have the answers. A few months back she needed an additional unit for a short period of time, Ralph P. helped her figure out what she needed to do. She trusted him with his knowledge and it all has worked out perfectly. Missouri Flat Storage Depot - Self Storage Near Me - Placerville, California

I had household goods stored here for almost 3 years until I vacated my unit this week. As I'm moving out I notice that several pieces of my furniture, boxes and an area rug are covered in a white powdery substance called efflorescence. Efflorescence indicates that water is moving through the concrete in ways that are not intended. When I informed the office staff I was told that the entire storage facility is built on a natural spring that was once a duck pond!! The storage facility refused to take any responsibility for my damaged items. Buyer beware!! read more

Just been there month but I was impressed with the helpful staff and facilities.

We have been renting a (1) locker from this place of business for over a year paying $259.00 a month. Our payment is due on the 1st of each month. We missed a payment. I called in to make a payment using my debit card and they stated they could not accept it any longer over the phone. I finally was able to make it by in person to pay the past due account and the were closed in the middle of the day. The sign stated they would be back in about 40 minutes. I didn't have 40 min. to wait for them to return. I was able to make it back to their office a couple of day later. This happened to fall on the second of the next month. I walked in to pay my bill in "CASH" and they would't accept it because now the next month was due. She stated because it is (1) ONE day past the due date for this month NOW I can only accept the full two months in cash. The facilities are clean and monitored well. They obviously don't do well working with a customer who has spent a great deal of money over one years time at their facility. Wouldn't recommend! read more

Missouri Flat Storage is run in a professional manner, with helpful staff. Upon renting a storage unit, staff were so accomadating, offering pallets to ensure property remains dry with all the rain we've had this winter. They offer great security, are clean, and offer a moving truck to assist in getting belongings in/out of storage. Although their rentals are a bit more expensive than others in the area, it seems well worth it based on all they offer. read more

I unexpectedly had to move out of my rental and was in need of a storage unit. I contacted Missouri Flat storage and the team there was extremely nice to work with. When I went in to sign the paper work I told them my situation and that I needed multiple units. The staff contacted me immediately when a unit opened up to see if I needed it. Turned out I needed 4 units. While moving our stuff in they would check in on us, bring us water and see if we needed anything. Any time I called to pay my bill or ask a question they knew exactly who I was and treated me like an old friend. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of storage. This is a great storage facility. They will let you use their truck to move, and they have furniture dollies available for use at the facility. The prices seem reasonable, and the place is nice and secure. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the dude even remembered my name when I came into the office several months later! VETERANS BEWARE UPDATE....The response given for not giving Disabled Veterans a discount is that They already give discounts to active and reserve veterans. I guess that our injured Veterans will just have to pay full price for storage. I guess this local business isn't aware that El Dorado county has a huge number of Veterans residing in it. read more

I love the people that work here, I hate their corporate overfiends. The place is well maintained, clean, and safe. It gets over 100 degrees INSIDE THE units tho so I lost a lot of stuff to heat damage. But it's the valley still. C'est LA vie. They have some rule about "loitering" which as defined by corporate includes busting your ass to move things from one storage unit to another over the period of 5 hours. I thinks someone needs to go to Dictionary.com and learn the definition of loitering. That aside everyone there is helpful, friendly, and willing to accommodate your needs as long as rules are not violated. :) read more

After selling our home in the Bay Area my family and I had 2 weeks to move so things were hectic to say the least. My mind was all over the place and I did not fully complete my reservation for a unit. During our drive up I called Missouri Flat Storage Depot to confirm everything and found out I messed up and had no reservation. It was late in the day and they were closing soon so I was panicking. Kirsten was able to set me up with a unit and provide me all necessary instructions to get in after hours. Due to my error it was so last minute but she stayed late just to help me out. She was so kind and helpful throughout the process. She was very personable and helped to calm me down and get my family and I taken care of. She even provided me her personal number to call directly if I had any issues upon arrival and went the extra step to follow up with me as well. The property and units are clean and easily accessible. The prices are very reasonable and the process is simple. I will highly be recommending Missouri Flat Storage Depot to anyone and everyone! I went in Saturday (1/7/17) to fill out the paperwork for the 10x7 I reserved last month, and Kirsten was so helpful! She was pleasant and welcoming the moment I walked in the door and walked me through my reservation. Upon inspecting the unit I reserved I realized it wouldn't be large enough to house my belongings, so Kirsten found me a 10x10 they had available, and it was in an even better location on the lot. She really listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to help me with another unit. She explained the lot set up, how I would access my unit, and answered questions I had about the truck they have to borrow for my move. Being able to utilize their truck was another reason I went to them before anyone else. I am very happy with my choice in storage facilities and I would recommend Missouri Flat Storage Depot to anyone needing a storage facility that comes with exceptional customer service and security. read more

Seriously, I'm so happy right now! We've rented a unit here last year and it was awesome! I came in yesterday looking for packing peanuts for a very delicate and large package I was going to ship. I had already been to UPS and the USPS for quotes so getting it prepared for the long cross country trek was my goal. RalphTheirs not only greeted me at the door, but carried the package in for me. It was 25 pounds and awkward to carry so that meant a lot. Kirsten Prince showed me all the different packing products that might help, and even helped me reorganize the box! I was shipping a spinning wheel that was partially assembled... with very delicate moving parts. Kirsten and Ralph made sure that every piece was protected and safe, even reinforcing the box with extra tape and Fragile tape to insure it was handled carefully on it's journey. The best part is that they inquired about my shipping quotes, which were $90 UPS, and $75 USPS. They mentioned that they shipped UPS, and would like to see if they could beat my quotes. I laughed thinking that I already had a UPS quote, what was the point? They measured and weighed the box, added the appropriate insurance on it, and beat not only my UPS quote, but also the USPS one too! $63 bucks!!!!!! That was a huge drop, and I was extremely thankful for it! It's customer service like this that I wish was everywhere. The sad thing is that it's really rare to be treated like a valued customer with important business. The UPS store and my local USPS didn't give me confidence that my package was important and delicate, or that it would arrive in one piece. Missouri Flat Storage did. Ralph must have put a pound of tape on the outside of the box (which was already used once and had some dings in it) to reinforce cardboard and it's rigidity. Neither of them tried to up sell me on packing products... even went looking for some that might have been left over from others! I swear I will never taking my moving, storing, and now shipping business anywhere else. A+ read more

Everything about Missouri Flat Storage is great! The office staff is very responsive and helpful. The property manager, Kirsten is so professional and efficient. The property is spotless and feels very safe. I have rented at other storage facilities in other cities and this is, hands down, the best I have ever rented. Little conveniences, like a chain to hold the doors open and a very clean rest room, make such a difference. I am very happy that I chose Missouri Flat Storage and suggest that you do too...That is providing they have available units!!! They are filled up because they are so good! We decided to return to California last year, after living for many years in Oregon. Once we decided that, we chose this facility due to convenience, pricing, and the excellent customer service we received over the phone while making arrangements. We moved 95% of what we own into the unit in Sept, and sold our home & completed the move down in December. It took us quite a while to find the right home to purchase, and finally closed on that this month (June). Just moved everything out & into our new home yesterday. We took extra precautions and bought really heavy duty plastic and laid it on the floor and put our things on top of that, plus put a large box of product that pulls moisture from the air as we didn't want any mold. Absolutely perfect - even after an extremely rainy spring, our things came out perfect, and the box was half full of water. We swept the unit out very well, and everything was ready for the next tenant. Highly recommend Missouri Flat Storage due to the very clean facilities, the security on site (cameras everywhere), and the really excellent service we received. read more

I have been at this storage facility for at least 5 years. Kirsten has always helped me with things I needed to the best of her ability, which was very appreciated because I was out of state. I moved out of the facility a few days ago and she was very helpful again and went out of her way to provide the best customer service possible. She even took me to Mr. Pickles, right up the road, to get lunch for me and my daughter because my vehicle was at the Uhaul place. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The lady whom checked us in and got us started offered top notch service and knowlage. She offered a very competitive price and was lower than the 5 closest places and was the only one open on Sunday! She let us know about the great free one day moving truck which was a God send! I saved money by getting a storage unit here as I didn't have to rent a uhaul. When we moved out they were great despite our short term with them. We used the very nice large moving truck free of charge and the gentleman whom checked us out was top notch. He went above and beyond to offer us the best financial option and was genuinely an overall great person. Whomever did the hiring here has it right! Every employee we met or spoke to was excellent and smiling! Clean and well kept facility as well. Moving tools and restrooms available for our use. I would give them my buissness over and over.
