So I went in with one of my other family members and got served by Makenzie and she was very rude the whole time she has been like this the last couple of times. Very much an Americana diner with lots of vintage Coca Cola products. Clientele when we were there skewed toward the MAGA, Ted Nugent fans which was a little disconcerting for a late life trans woman and her child. Did not feel initially very hospitable. However, as soon Haley--one of the waitresses--noticed I and my child were feeling a little uncomfortable and like maybe this wasn't the place for us, she proceeded to plop down in the booth right next to my son and said, "Alright, hon! What'cha want?" It took my breath away, because it felt like such a breach of professional etiquette. But then I realized she'd just let all the regulars know they were not to mess with us in a way that didn't raise any eyebrows. (If she'd been overly friendly with me, it might've raised a stir, but, by sitting next to a 12 year old who's my child and helping him feel relaxed, no one could give her or any of us grief. It was almost breathtaking in its simplicity and effectiveness. No one gave us any grief after that.) We ordered a lot of delicious food and my child was on cloud nine. Ordered two orders of the amazing onion rings, got their insane cheeseburger's served between two grilled cheese sandwiches, and amazingly cooked tater tots. At the end, my son told our waitress she deserved a raise and she gave him a commemorative pen! That waitress gave an absolute clinic on how to make outsiders safe and welcome! First time here. Place was very clean and liked the interior decorating. We had the Everything Omelet and the Big Man's Breakfast. Both were very good and the prices very reasonable. Service was great and food came out quick. Will stop again when in the area. read more

Stopped in for lunch. It was pretty busy, but easy to get a seat and service. Ordered the cheeseburger. It comes with chips. For $2.50, I upgraded to fries. Food came out fairly quickly. Fries were hot. Burger was somewhat disappointing. It had a few small pieces of lettuce on it. The meat was bland. And there was no Mayo, mustard or ketchup on it. It comes plain. Delicious, reasonably priced breakfast. The veggie omelette is yummy and the chocolate chip pancakes are the best I've ever had. The servers are adorable and the atmosphere is eclectic. I've eaten at Missy's several times. The country fried steak, burgers and fish are all great! The only thing I had that wasn't ok was the chicken salad, which I received mostly yellow lettuce and the ranch tasted like straight Miracle Whip. The coleslaw is yucky as well. Waitresses are all nice. I DO NOT appreciate that they allow a lot of the public to walk through the kitchen. Missy's one of those classic small town diners that delivers big on comfort food. Breakfast is my favorite meal to order here. The portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable. The atmosphere is 50s diner with a kind staff. When you walk in the locals are talking about the events of the day and give a feel of stepping back to a more simple time in American history. Very friendly staff accompanied by some very apparent locals/regulars. Found myself enjoying a meal at this adorable diner the day after Thanksgiving. The waitress said the cooks wondered if someone would order the Hot Turkey sandwich, well leave it to me! Since I did not have traditional holiday fare for the holiday it did not dawn on me that ordering the Turkey Sandwich would be at all out of sorts. The meal was perfect! Gravy is typically something I have shyed away from, but I am glad I decided to be brave this evening. Delightful turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes coated in not too salty gravy hit the spot. This was a meal I remember enjoying as part of the left over stash while growing up and did no hesitate to bring those memories back to me! Missy's was recommended to us by the staff at the Caboose Motel, and we were not disappointed. We were in town for to nights and went to breakfast at Missy's both mornings. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. Specifically, the coffee is spectacular, and the eggs (both scrambled and an omelet) were delicious! We both had sausage patties with our meal, and they were perfect - great flavor and juicy. The atmosphere is perfect for a diner. read more

For my trip to Titusville, Missy's was to be part of the destination. I read about it and wanted to go. Overall experience was positive. I love to sit at a counter so I was glad there was a seat. My server was absolutely charming. The menu had something for everyone and I was excited to get and egg salad sandwich. The egg salad wanted something to kick it up a notch... some mustard, onion, relish... I would have like to have been offered a choice of bread. White toast is white toast. And homemade chips would have won out over the slightly stale out-of-the bag ones. BUT...the prices were amazing! Hard to find a freshly made sandwich for under $3. Decor was nice. More eclectic than kitchy. I prefer a little chaos in decorating so that I am always finding new things to look at. Missy's was too symmetrical. All in all a nice visit. I've eaten at this place several times. Food is usually ok and you get quite a bit for your money. I just don't like hearing the owner boo hoo about money issues, etc... While in there she went on and on and on about having take out only for awhile and how much money she lost, etc... (EVERYONE in this industry is suffering, including me!) I'm waiting for my order thinking here I am, spending over $30 for 2 take out dinners and you're complaining about EVERYTHING it seems. Nickle and dime you on every topping for your burger. Want cheese? What type? Because prices vary according to that. Want fries? you better order two orders because one is barely a handful. Surprised they don't charge you for the ice. Also surprised the health inspector hasn't shut this place down. There is parking out back and customers regularly cut through the kitchen to get to the dining area, meaning they walk right past the cooks, food, utensils and prep station. Yup, people walk right past the dumpster and into the kitchen past your plated food, saw it with my own eyes on several occasions. read more

But we were handed breakfast menus when we went in and we went there specifically for breakfast. 5 mins later we were told that "he" won't make breakfast anymore. It was 11:02 at that point. Liked this place so much, we ate there twice! Did lunch on Saturday, October 8, and breakfast on Sunday, the 9th. First off, it's within walking distance of both the OC&T railroad and the adjacent Caboose Motel; and a stone's throw from the Blue Canoe, a great restaurant and brew house I reviewed previously. The Arcade is easy to find with it's retro, art-deco-ish neon sign out front, and inside your senses are immediately assaulted with Coca-Cola memorabilia and decor, as well as enough nostalgic tin signs on the walls to start their own side business. The waitresses (and in this joint, that's considered a compliment!) are all very friendly and attentive. We were greeted and seated immediately, and our orders were taken promptly, even allowing us to blather like cranked-up tourists for a few minutes before we could decide what to order. The menu is exclusively diner-food, and I say that with abject reverence. For lunch, I had a bacon double-cheeseburger that had just the right amount of 'juice' to it (okay, you say 'grease', I say 'juice', but it was delicious), and my wife and I split the sweet potato fries, which come served with a little side of what I call 'liquid donut'; which tasted like it may have been the icing on a cinnamon roll in a previous life. If my wife would have let me lick the little container this stuff was served in, I probably would have swallowed it whole. The next day for breakfast I had the Big Man's #2 breakfast (really, why not just call it 'Okay, Fat-Ass, Why Don't You Just Kill Yourself and Be Done With It, Already?'), which was 2 pancakes (any style - they have Coca-Cola pancakes, but I was too distracted by our waitress' seemingly full-body tattoos to speak up in a timely fashion, so I got 'regular', which were great), 2 pieces of bacon, a huge patty of sausage (or sausage patty, if you prefer), and 2 eggs any style (scrambled). Oh, and because I could not say no to the smell of them frying up, home fries. No liquid donut this time around, but this was a breakfast to die for (I believe my cardiologist should be able to narrow down a date for me on my next visit), and I think the whole thing came to about $7.00, including a glass of orange juice (tons of pulp, not the girly kind). I think if I was traveling by myself or lived nearby, I'd eat there every day. It's that cool, and the food is that darned good. Heck, I'd even go without all the other train stuff going on in town. Just leave your pretensions at the front door; or better yet, leave them at home. You sure won't need them in Titusville. read more

We are from out of town and came here for breakfast. The place was packed so that seemed like a good sign. The servers were very busy but they didn't let that affect the service they provided. They were attentive and very friendly. The food was your typical diner food and it was very good. I personally liked the decor although some might say it was cluttered. There were a lot of vintage signs and things hanging all over. I felt it added to the whole atmosphere and I really enjoyed our visit. If we ever make it back to titusville again I will definitely come back here. :) read more

Small town diner atmosphere with small town value. Nothing beats good home style cooking at reasonable prices. I took my family there for breakfast yesterday because my son wanted some place with pancakes. His apple cinnamon pancakes smelled like a beautiful fall day when they arrived at the table. The creamed chipped beef on toast must have come out of someone's grandmother's house because it couldn't have been cooked in a restaurant -it is too good. As a local, I have dined at Missy's Arcade for both breakfast and lunch numerous times. The food is always excellent and the wait staff was usually attentive and accomodating. However, I just recently had the worst experience there ever and ended up walking out. Having worked 12 in the restaurant business in both family owned and coorporate owned establishments, I understand the importance of guest satisfaction. However, the staff working at Missy's that day apparently did not. I walked in at 10:45 AM with my family of 4 - including a 2 year old who was extremely patient as we sat at the only open table which was filled with dirty dishes, a rag to wipe the table, and a mess of crumbs. We got settled, went to restroom, got a highchair and began to entertain my toddler as he was hungry. Waitress after waitress continued to walk by us without uttering a single word. Finally after ten minutes, I stopped a waitress and asked if she knew who was in charge of this table. She asked me to give her a minute and she would be back. My fiance proceeded to clear off some of the dishes taking them to the front counter. When she returned, she wiped down the table and proceeded to tell us that they are now in transition between breakfast and lunch. That we could only order lunch now as breakfast ends at 11. I pointed out to her that according to the clock on their own wall, it was still a few minutes to 11 and we had been sitting there patiently waiting for service for over ten minutes. She acted befuddled, and said, "I guess there is still 2 minutes left, let me check". She asks another waitress coming by our table and they said "NO" as well. I once again stated that this seems ridiculous because we were there and ready to order at 10:45 - the waitress stated " Well, when its busy its hard to tell who came in and needs waited on and who is just still hanging out" - HAHAHA! That is a joke. It is your job as a server to know those things. She went back to the kitchen to double check and came out telling us she was sorry but "NO, we could not order breakfast". Needless to say, we got up and left. I would never expect this from a small town diner that has been successful due to the loyalty of its patrons and the town. I would understand if we weren't there until after 11 and had asked someone to make a special exception for us, but that was not the case. This was just a case of poor customer service and someone not knowing how to appropriately do their job. This would NEVER have been an acceptable way to treat a costumer in any of the restaurants I worked at. read more
