I was actually looking for a self serve car wash where I could pay a couple bucks and spray the bird poop off my car myself. Despite putting "self serve" in my search, I was directed to Mister Car Wash. Tracy was the employee that was standing at the entrance/pay station. He politely listened as I fussed about not wanting to pay $10 (their cheapest, basic option) when I knew it was going to rain tomorrow. "But if it doesn't rain HARD ENOUGH, I'll still have bird poop..." Tracy smiled and tolerated my fussing so politely. I was also greeted with a smile by the gentleman that guided me into the car wash. He sprayed Grace (my car's name), even after Tracy sprayed it for me. The car wash itself is really cool. More than half the equipment is trash , I went through the towel dry at the end and drove off with half of the towels stuck to my truck, yuck! The brushes worked on one side but hardly moved at all. Also they have tried changing my card 14 times after I canceled the club. read more

Never fails from Mister Car Wash I have to ask for the cheap wash when I really want a better one but cheap is the only way not to get tire shine all over my car doors and fenders. I buy the cheap wash and cant get the interior done because it will be 1.5hrs but the girl still asks me to leave a tip to go though the tunnel and I still get tire shine on my tires and all down my car paint. Now I need to go somewhere else and have my car re-washed for $35 dollars plus the $16 I already spent because they need to have overpriced tire shine application machines in the tunnel instead of applying it by hand. So $51 dollars for car washes. I honestly can say I learned my lesson this time. read more

The employees were all very friendly and helped me pick the wash I wanted. I chose the $30 full service. It was quick experience l, and they provided a nice waiting area while my car was being cleaned. (I think there was free pop corn provided, but I didn't care much for the smell overwhelming the waiting room.) The exterior of my car looks great! Overall the inside is pretty clean. I can tell they paid close attention to vacuuming, dusting the dashboard and cleaning the console. I will say though that they did not touch the inside of my doors as they are still very dirty. Also, it doesn't seem like the steering wheel was cleaned at all. I will be giving them another shot, but I guess I will have to specify that I want my doors cleaned as well. read more

I have no complaints, friendly staff, and professional management what else do you need? My car (her name is Priscilla) is always well taken care of when I need her cleaned. Do NOT take your car to this car wash. Not only do they do a terrible job, my windshield was cracked when I got in my car to leave. They are taking no responsibility for the damage. As far as quality of the wash, after paying $35 for the better wash, there was still tons of sand in the car. Three of the windows had not been washed on the inside of the car. The digital screen on the dash was dusty still and had fingerprints all over it. Drive to the car wash in Riverchase if you want it done right. So, I definitely won't be back after using this car wash for years. I used to get inside and out detailing and would tip on that for services provided. The detailing started to go downhill, so I stopped having them clean the interior. They've now updated the car wash exterior to having kiosk self service, but an employee standing there to "explain" aka read off the screen. He asked if want to tip for the employees, aka him, for doing nothing*! I said no thank you, because truthfully the service doesn't warrant a tip! Very disappointed in my visit today. purchased the platinum wash to get the inside and outside detailed. The inside was not cleaned or even touched. Not vacuumed, not wiped... nothing. The outside had spots too. When I asked the man who escorted me to my car why it had not been cleaned on the inside since I purchased the platinum package, he blew the cup holders out and said they were short handed and management didn't have attainable goals for 4 workers (300 cars cleaned that day). We have been getting our cars cleaned here for years. We went one afternoon last week and just discovered on employee stole out handicap placard from the side pocket of our car! I paid for the $30 inside and outside detail. I was surprised that it only took them about 10 minutes. HOWEVER, they did the worst job I've ever seen. I don't think they did anything except vacuum the floors. There was still drink spills on the leather and peanuts in the seat. I ended up having to do what I paid them to do myself. They left sand on the car mats, windows with dog slobber still on them, and worst of all CRACKED THE WINDSHIELD! They would not pay for the windshield that they cracked. Absolutely terrible car wash. Plan on babysitting someone as you request for them to wipe out cup holders or vacuum again after you see that your car is still dirty. I had bicycles in the trunk so they didn't even have to do the rear portion on the inside. It was still an incredibly sloppy job!! I've tried this location numerous times over the years and quality is always very poor. I've tried everything from $25-$40 washes. Results are all the same. They let your car air dry so it's COVERED in water spots/mineral deposits. Your car will come out dirty. I swear there is no roller in this wash that cleans the bumper/lights, hood, windshield, and rear of the car. If there is it does nothing. Vacuum jobs are poor. Today there was one person working the vacuums so I knew right away it'd be half a$$ed. Sure enough the trunk of my car was not even touched and none of the carpets were put back properly. As others have mentioned, I could vacuum better at home. In fact, I always have to clean my car more after coming here. I'm done giving them the benefit of the doubt and wasting money here. On every occasion I always have to request for someone to re-wipe by dash or re-vacuum my car. It's frustrating because there is always multiple people working on one vehicle at a time. Confused. Went here, paid $14 for a wash, interior clean & vacuum. Didn't get the vacuum part for some reason..? My car make and model was called then I investigated the final results like always and I was absolutely shocked by how terrible it looked. It was not even vacuumed. I was confused because 5+ people 'looked' really busy to clean it, but upon seeing it, they only appeared to be busy. I asked for my car to be vacuumed because I paid for it and they took the car back. Then, after 20+ more minutes of my time, they brought my car back. It literally looked the same. Interestingly enough, I was told it was MY fault for having dirt and sand in my car. Since when is it difficult to vacuum sand or other things up from mats..? Worst excuse for a car wash for how much you're spending. I got the platinum $34.99 wash. The main reason I went was to get the dog hair off the seats, and all the dust/pollen off the dash. But they did a poor job of that and even left big pieces of trash not vacuumed up. It's like they hit the high spots. Not to mention the blue soap or whatever left on the paint. We had an unlimited car wash subscription and used them multiple times every week. The last time was when the employee who brushes the bugs of the window came in hot and crack the window. We immediately notified management and asked for a claim for replacement to be filed. That's when the run around began... after five long months of hundreds of calls, we've had to resort to hiring an attorney to resolve. I paid ($28) for exterior and interior cleaning - and the interior cleaning (vacuum & wipe down) MISSED most of the debris in the floorboard and dust on the seats, dash, and smudges on the windshield. When I asked the employee about the debris in the floorboard, he advised that it was missed because of the "type of carpet" (that is standard in my 2018 Honda). I went here on Friday (03-06-2020) to get a car wash before my trip out of town. I thought the prices were reasonable and paid for the $20 wash, exterior only. After getting the wash I realized they machine had cracked my windshield and they immediately accused me of it being previous damage and refuse to pay for the damage they caused. Anyways I still filed a claim through their services and explained everything and they refused to pay it again saying it was a rock chip (there is no marks that even look like a rock could have caused it). Over the weekend the crack is getting worse and slowly moving to the center of my windshield; I went and got an estimate and it is going to cost $250+ to replace my windshield. HAD been on the monthly ($50) plan for over 4 years using the location on hwy 280 with NO problems (other than long waits at times). Moved and was closer to the Vestavia location so started using them. After they cleaned my vehicle I noticed that ALL my spare change in my center console was missing. Since I had already left the establishment, I couldn't prove it. So, the next time I went, I took a picture of the spare change in my console BEFORE they cleaned. When they finished I immediately (with one of their workers looking) opened my console and sure enough, they had stole my spare change again. called the supervisor over and he said he would look at the video later that day and call me. He did call but said they couldn't see anything on the video. Tried to cancel my monthly subscription via their corporate office and they asked why I wanted to cancel. I told them and instead of offering an apology and trying to make it right, they said I had another 25 days left on my current subscription to which I requested they prorate the fee and refund my card. I am very disappointed in this location of Mister Car wash. I brought my vehicle into to be washed on 7/7/18, my Audi was damaged in their car wash on the back drivers side and they denied my claim. Pictures were taken at the time of the incident and forwarded to their claims department. After 4 attempts to get an answer, they finally called back on 7/24/18 to deny my claim. Well because when I give Mister my car to be cleaned I expect everything that was in my car to stay in my car. That includes iPhone AUX adapters. The Hwy 31 location is terrible. It was a misty day and I really needed the interior cleaned. My $75,000 car came out dirtier than when it went in. The line manager drove my car to the cleaning position leaving his greasy footprint on my floor mat and grease had print on my door handle and side panel. This was after he called to let me know my car was done. He sprayed something on the mat and wiped the down down only to make the door more of a mess.
