I was very grateful because I had procrastinated in getting alterations and needed it done quickly. When I came back, I paid what was agreed on, and the dress looked and fit great! I've had alterations done somewhere else in Overland Park where I had much less done to the dress for more than twice the price I paid here, and the quality of the work was done very sloppy. Needless to say, I was very happy with the outcome of my dress.

I returned and they were not complete. Returned the next morning to pick up poor quality of work. It appears to be a Mom & Pop shop, very nice people, but will not use again and would not recommend due to issues above. I was so nervous to get all the necessary alterations, including a major shortening due to my 5'2 stature. I was able to get that and alteration to shoulders of the gown which allowed it to fit perfectly for my special day. The quality of the work was excellent and the turnaround time was totally reasonable. The alterations cost $120, but it was well worth the investment because this dress is a once in a lifetime experience for me. The craftsmanship was excellent. I also appreciated the excellent customer service and the shop cat, Puma was a wonderful bonus!

So, I requested that the hem be kept the same width. When I picked up the jeans I informed her that the width was not the same and she stated that they kept the original hem. They did not. The hem is roughly two inches different from when they were purchased. In addition, my white jeans were covered in cat hair (they have a cat that roams freely) and stains. I could not be more un-impressed and will never be back to this place. Also, I did take it to another tailor and they told me that it ABSOLUTELY can be done and is called a euro hem. He was told that taking the dress in would address both. When we picked it up, the straps were even looser - easily falling off the shoulder - and the fit was asymmetrical. We called and were told to bring her back to correct it, which we did. At pickup, we were hit with an unexpected $85 extra charge and told we "never requested" the straps be adjusted. Over $300 later, the dress still doesn't fit properly. We left feeling taken advantage of, misled, and pressured. Dads/parents: if you're not a tailoring expert, be extra cautious here. I decided to take in a very formal gown I was wearing to a wedding to test them out before giving them 'the' dress. I was blown away. They are getting all of my business for any formal or complicated alterations I need! I am a petite 5'1" female and there was a lot of this dress that needed to be taken in and shortened. They also put in some bra cups so that I didn't have to wear a bra. It doesn't look like much from the outside of the building, and it's not in the best location. But when you go inside, you can immediately tell you're in the right place. They have high end equipment and a nice space. It was busy when I walked in, which is also a good sign. The people here are well trained and know what they're doing. The man I worked with really took his time to make sure my dress was laying properly and would fit well with his adjustments. He reminded me to stand tall so that it wouldn't be messed up as he was taking measurements. They were also able to get my dress done within two weeks! They gave it to me freshly pressed and ready to go. Awesome service. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

I asked her to pin the underboob area and she just ran her fingers over it to "flatten" it out. She started pinning the bottom for hemming which was odd to me since the top of the dress should be altered before even looking at the hem... I looked down and noticed she snagged my dress! Front and center right on the top layer, I pointed it out and she scrunched her face and tried to smooth it over and just moved on like it didn't happen!? At this point all the red flags were glaring me in the face and I kindly asked "this is just a consultation, right?" And she scoffed and said "no, you're booked with me to tailor your dress." I let her know " I'm so sorry there must have been a misunderstanding this was just supposed to be a consultation." Then she proceeded to basically tell me I was wasting her time. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I feel awful after this experience.
