Poor quality, bad communication, not reliable with time. I was told my items would be ready on a Friday. I arrived at 2pm and they were not started. I was told to come back at 5pm. I returned and they were not complete. Returned the next morning to pick up poor quality of work. It appears to be a Mom & Pop shop, very nice people, but will not use again and would not recommend due to issues above. I went here to have 3 pencil skirts, 1 maxi skirt, 1 dress pant, and 1 lace crop top taken in. She charged me approx. $30/piece after tax, and for as much as she had to take in and half of them being complicated I think this is fair pricing. I told her there was no rush (I didn't want a rush fee)--but she quoted me just a week and they were done on time. One thing that should be noted-- she asks you to pay at drop off. I was hesitant about that, especially since I believe in paying before seeing the end result, but she had good reviews on Yelp so I went for it. Everything turned out great. When I went to pick up my pieces, on first inspection, everything looked professionally taken in, no visible seams or strings, etc. She asked me to try everything on, and everything looked great. My only complaint is that between the 4 skirts and the pant, none of them fit the same on my waist. Two are just a smidge loose, but still stay where they need to and aren't noticeable, 1 was perfect, and 1 was just a smidge tight (not painfully so, just a little). So 1 less star for lack of consistency. But all in all, I'm very happy with it and will be back. read more

I have been on the hunt for THE tailor and haven't found a place that I fully trust. After reading Yelp reviews on Speedy Alterations, I took a big gamble and brought a dress that needed so much work, they basically had to rebuild the dress to get it to fit me. Moreover, I needed this to fit me perfectly in less than 2 weeks with zero room for error. Today, I picked it up and they did a FANTASTIC job!! Not only did they rise up to my expectations, they exceeded them by far. The dress fits like a glove. It fits so well that I look skinnier and more fit after they fixed it. (Just kidding). As for speed and pricing, they truly are speedy! I got a completely re-structured dress in less than 4 business days. My dress cost more than the other reviews, but I had so much work done to it and the fabric was pretty delicate (lace) that I feel like I got a great deal. I have paid other tailors so much more to do less work and left me dissatisfied. None of my clothes will be going anywhere but Speedy Alterations from now on! read more

Each suit fits beautifully and you would never guess they used to be 3-4 sizes bigger. I took two pairs of dress pants here to have them hemmed. It's a mom and pop shop that is wonderful. The woman greeted me and took my order promptly. She asked me when I would like to pick them up and I told her to take her time. I came back the next week because I wasn't in a hurry, but she said she would have them done the next day if I needed. They seemed pretty busy. I got my pants back and am totally satisfied. I paid $8 for each pair plus tax. After waiting 7 days to have a decorative patch sewn on a sweatshirt, I arrived to find it was not done... hanging on a hanger in the back of the shop. 4 minutes later it was given to me with the patch not centered and unevenly placed where I aske it to be. I bought a dress off of Etsy for my wedding. The kind you send measurements and they make it custom. Months later after receiving it, it was a mess. It was too big and too long everywhere. Clearly not what I sent for measurements and i was so disappointed. I came here, tried it on, and they pinned it off. I was told only a week for alterations. Which is amazingly fast! I was so worried. Sure enough, I came back a week later and it's a completely perfect fit. It's beautiful and I'm now so excited for the wedding. Not to mention, the price was very fair for the amount of work needed (essentially rebuilding the entire dress!!!) I cannot say thank you enough to this shop or recommend it enough to anyone needing to trust in someone for their big day. They were hemmed at least an inch shorter than where she had marked them. I had high expectations based on the other reviews here but those expectations were far from met.
