I stopped in to this park to see the camera obscura https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/mitchell-park but it is closed because of the pandemic. Serious bummer. The rest of the park including the carousel is lovely. It's Memorial Day weekend and so they have planted a bunch of flags around. There are several memorials including a plaque mounted on a stone in tribute to the US Merchant Marine during WWII. It is a nice green space with the marina, the carousel, the camera obscura and in the winter time, an ice skating rink. The town's festivals and markets are held here as well. This is a review for the park only. One thing I like about Greenport and this park is that they have lots of events during the summer including outdoor concerts, Shakespeare in the park and special events. This weekend a last minute arrival by the Draken a Viking ship created based on existing artifacts and trial and error. It was a bit unorganized in the early morning and the Viking village, food vendors and Whiskey tent was nonexistent probably due to the poor weather. But the main event the Draken was there and for $12 you get a short tour of the boat. Very impressive re-creation of what a Viking boat probably looked like. A crew of 30 works this vessel and traveled all the way from Norway and invaded our tiny village of Greenport. read more

This seems like a super weird thing to write a review about, but I just felt the need to share! I took my nephew and my boyfriend ice skating a few weekends ago and, for me, it was like riding a bike. (I grew up roller blading at the American legion- same thing!) However, my nephew and my boyfriend needed a TON of help. Like, so much help that it would've been embarrassing if I didn't love them so much. The people who work at the ice skating rink are endlessly helpful. They retied their skates, gave them pointers, tried their best not to laugh too much at our shenanigans. Plus, ice skating was super affordable! Also, this is one of my favorite places in the summer. They have free music on Monday nights and the sunsets are lovely. It's always clean, and there are always dogs. read more

Out of curiosity, I went inside this private lot(marina) where in all private boats of different kinds and sizes were docked. I was just waiting to be booted out but seemed the timing was impeccable. I was awed but how effectively these boats were arranged. At the end of the marina wherein it has a walkway, I witnessed one boat getting its way to the ocean. It was such a sight. read more

Pretty nice little harbor side park in Greenport has a carousel for the kids and some space for a picnic. Only wish it was a bit larger and greener. Still an ok park to come sit and relax. read more

Absolutely the best Marina on the North Fork of Long Island. The crew here are really nice, genuinely nice people. I had numerous contacts with the entire office staff and dock hands and Harbor Master. Everyone really just wanted to help. The Town of Greenport is back, bustling with food, fun, supplies. The docks are well equipped and the most stable floating docks I've been on. read more

Docks and staff are awesome. Restrooms were absolutely disgusting. Great place if you have your own on board amenities.

Peaceful place in the morning and live music on some evenings. Check the schedule. Kiddies can ride the carousel. Three stars because there's really nothing else to do here except to sit and look out into the ocean and at the boats. It is also quite small. But . . . it's clean and welcomes those who prefer to sit on a bench and just chill. read more

This is your basic, noisy, very-open-to-the-public, city marina. But if you are looking for welcoming, knowledgeable, well-trained staff ...5 blasts! My initial VHF contact upon approach was frustrating and useless. Once I actually figured out where to go, the dock hands seemed to wonder what those lines secured to my bow and stern might be used for. They actually looked puzzled, and secured them improperly, as I handed them over. As a result, my hull now needs repair. They were also distracted by the almost constant, hand-held-VHF squawking of confusing orders from some voice they reflexively referred to as "My Boss," perched in some distant observation post they referred to as "The Office" ...uttered with looks of subjugated intimidation on their faces. For my trouble, they charged me the overnight rate per foot of boat PLUS the length of my tender ...for a 4 hour stay! Boaters beware! read more

This is a great location, but watch out for the dockhands. My dock neighbor was there this weekend for 4th of July and their power boat was greatly damaged by staff negligence. Evidently, one of their dockhands was told to move their boat to another slip (while they were enjoying downtown Greenport) and used a bowrail instead of a cleat to tie off the boat. Well, a little wind and bam---right into the dock. Major damage to the side of the boat. The boat is now rendered "out of service" while the owner seeks repairs at the height of the season. read more

Awful marina. I worked here for a short amount of time and had to leave due to the fact that the whole place is corrupt. The managers and people in charge steal money and tips and even made fun of me. I can't even count the amount of times they had me in tears just because of how cruel they are (They are all adults, I was 16) Beautiful area but unfortunately the marina is run by cruel, rude, arrogant people. They make fun of their customers and purposely make things difficult for their own entertainment. read more

This marina is relatively protected and perfectly located to explore downtown Greenport. Their facilities are close and well maintained, the bathrooms clean. All in all a great location. However, if you are looking for a quiet night this is not the place for you. Claudio's Clam Bar is on the other side of the harbor and hosts loud parties until 2am. A great location only if you don't plan to stay on your boat all night. read more
