I told the kids to leave my car alone Nobody told him to touch my car that was theft and anything you have to say about it or just lies deception and spend to try to save face because you have a failing company who does what they want and then extort you if he wants your car back with the store and the person that your office said $150 a night to store so maybe they pocket the 75 I don't know. Close to $1000 worth of stuff stolen out of my car while in their secured lot. Was told it's nothing they can do about it.

My car was towed in the few hours that I visited someone. There we no signs that said I couldn't park where I was but they towed me anyway. When I went to get my car, they didn't make the appointment on time and left me sitting in their trashy lot. They're rude and don't care about people. Needs to be investigated for racial injustice. I personally watched them charge 4 white victims $175 while they charged me a POC $275. I asked each person what they were charged and this was verified. Ashley was extremely rude and hung up in my friends face when she was trying to figure out where my car was located. Staff was no help. Beware they are running a scam and black people seem to be the ones they are targeting with higher rates to get their cars released. I know they sleep well at night however because they all seem to be demons. Horrible business. Horrible customer service. Horrible employees. Racists bigots. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. My car died near Lynchburg, about an hour from my Roanoke-area home. For reasons I will spare you, between my credit card provider and me, this ended up legitimately requiring three different calls to Mitchell's before the car was eventually brought to Roanoke. In each case, service was fully professional. I don't have the names of everyone who assisted me, but I do recall Mark was friendly professional and helpful. While out of state, we had an accident and the police officer called Apex for us and Mark from Mitchell's helped us out that day. He towed our car to his facility and continued to stay with us until family could come and pick us up, making sure we were comfortable and out of the hot sun. DO NOT use these people. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, and they simply do not know how to tow without wrecking your transmission. Simple. Greedy management, just want your $$$ STAY AWAY.  :) Wouldn't even let me get my belongings out of my car before trying to drive off with it IN ADDDITION to me having money to pay them to drop my car but they refused requiring me to go in the AM and miss work. Saturday morning approximately 12:15 AM Mitchell's towing removed my vehicle from a parking lot in downtown Lynchburg. The parking lot is close to the bars and liquor store. My vehicle unbeknownst to me was being used by a member of my household who had been highly intoxicated for sometime even before parking in the downtown private lot. The vehicle was parked in a lot without a permit and should have been towed based on that. Keep in mind that this person is not on the title or registration of this vehicle. The operator of my vehicle had to get a cab to retrieve my vehicle from the impound lot. By this time it is now 12:45 Saturday morning. Mitchell's towing charged 325.00 and released my vehicle to a severely intoxicated person at 12:45 AM and didn't even bother to contact anyone about the entire situation. Someone could have been killed by their negligence. I found out the next morning and asked Mitchell's towing for the name of the person who released the vehicle. They refused to provide any information. I asked why they allowed a DRUNK PERSON to gain control of a motor vehicle after they had to impound it to begin with?? Their response was "We don't have a breathalyzer."!! They took my vehicle and gave it back to a drunk person with not even a phone call to anyone. Not me, not the police, but no one. This is an obvious case of NO MATTER WHO BRINGS YOU MONEY YOU DO NOT CARE!!! This isn't the kind of company I would want helping "take care" of my community. If you take the responsibility of "removing" something from "harms way" you should not throw it back into the fire!! I happened to be asleep when all of this situation took place. And in my opinion no matter how the keys were obtained YOU STILL GAVE POSSESSION ONCE YOU HAD CONTROL!!! The vehicle is in my name so you then in turn gave my vehicle away to a DRUNK PERSON!!! I am not someone who writes many reviews but I feel I need to in this case. I had the need to haul a forklift 0.7 miles so I called Michells because I knew their business were practically on the same Street. They quoted me $300 so got a bit shocked and said I'd call back. I called around and got quotes half that much but they weren't available soon enough. Called Mitchell's back and decided to go for it. I got a Link sent to me for payment. To my surprise there was an automatic tip of 15% added to the 300 plus tax of course bringing the total to almost $400. Wow! Took less than an hour. I felt ripped off is all I can say. My wife needed a tow after getting a flat and pulling too far off the road to change it. Called these guys and they were there in 15 minutes had her out and into a flat parking lot in no time at all. The most predatory towing company in Lynchburg their driver breaks Virginia law for the maximum towing fee ($150 initial and $30 additional: $180 total) and charges $260 dollars. Virginia code 46.2-1233 if you're wondering. There was a lone driver for the company that was circling the block. He was not the one we spoke to over the phone but was the one who took the money and said he had no change. Also regardless if there was a law setting a maximum fee, how on God's green earth can you have an after hours fee when you are a 24 hour company. It's like McDonald's charging you $10 extra for ordering at 3 am. Obviously they are just after money and post fake reviews or reviews made by friends and family members on their website themselves. They give themselves 5/5 stars out of 59 reviews but don't post a single 1 star review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If they tow you, call the police because I guarantee that they did not get a call from the property owner. I've seen how they have treated negative responses and they obviously do not care about people. It's saddening to see a local company be so awful. When I think of a tow truck driver I think of the good guys that rescue you when you are stranded and at your worst. However, when I think of Mitchell's Towing I think of cheap scammers and crocks. I was wrongfully towed from my apartment complex (in the middle of the night) and put through the hassle of getting my car out which ultimately cost me $200 and a ton of valuable time. I was towed because my parking pass was not clearly visible which the driver immediately admitted it was after shining a flashlight at my windshield. After going back and forth with my property and Mitchells I was promised a full refund only to be backed out by the company's manager Mark. Mitchell's towing company will lie straight to your face, deliberately tow a vehicle that is clearly a resident, make you come to a sketchy border-up building, and wrongfully charge you large sums of money for their personal benefit.
