Very friendly staff who were attentive to our needs. Good was good and plentiful. We enjoyed the country fried steak and the gyros dinner. Mrs. Mitchell stopped by the tables to welcome the patrons. She went out of her way to offer additional assistance for military veteran concerns. My friends and I prefer to visit for either breakfast or Fridays during lunch. On Fridays, they serve fresh, hot fish on the buffet.

Very friendly staff! Excellent and involved management. You could tell who was in charge. I went in for lunch and sat at the bar. I drank water and ate a 1/3 lb mushroom swiss burger. The cook was happy to oblige my low carb request by removing the bun. I found out after my meal that there was a buffet available in the next room. I found this out because a local that was sitting next to me ordered it. About half way through my meal, the manager turned on the lights. I was wondering why it seemed kind of dark. Although to me, the lighting isn't all that important. All in all, the food was delicious and the customer service was excellent. My rating is 4 out of 5 only because the option of the buffet that wasn't visible wasn't mentioned as an option when ordering. read more

This is our go-to restaurant whenever we ride to Blackstone (usually to see the train display at the local hardware store). They have a large parking lot and our right next to a gas station that can be accessed from their lot. This is a bonus for motorcyclists. The restaurant is spacious - several large tables seating 8 people in the center and booths along the left side. Long bar with chairs along the right wall. Semi-closed off area at the back, where they set up the buffet. Sadly the buffet was not available yesterday (Saturday). This is the first time it hasn't been open. There are a few tables in this area also. Bathrooms located on the right side at the back of the restaurant. The food is great. We've never been disappointed. Yesterday there were 9 of us and the restaurant was less than half full. Our food arrived in a decent amount of time. Everything was warm and fresh. I always get the BLT, which is loaded with bacon. I usually get onion rings, which are great. Not greasy at all and fried to a perfect crisp. I didn't get as many rings as usual. The folks who got hamburgers were pleasantly surprised to find out they were double patties. They said they were cooked exactly as ordered and the fries were great. Other items ordered were a Phillie cheese steak and an egg breakfast with hash browns. Our waitress was quick to refill glasses and checked on us many times. We were only given one ketchup bottle and luckily there were only a few of us who wanted to use it. I recommend this to anyone looking for a casual, all-American, hometown place to eat. read more

I go every time I am in town and get an order of country ham with breakfast and am astounded by the size of the serving and the taste! Bottomless soda refilled with a smile is also no problem. I like the big spacious dining room and the sports and/or news on TV in the front room. There is a nice back room bar where you can smoke if you want and eat your food at the bar. And if you wanna get a 5 lb piece of country ham wrapped up so tightly that the security dogs at the airport won't attack you when you go fly home they can prepare it for you in no time flat! :-) read more

Restaurant was a bit dirty,floors,tables you know stuff that should be cleaned. The staff was okay, a bit slow, but was able to bring drinks and.... nothing else. Really they were okay, I had the buffet and if I did go back I would never get again. Reminds me of food from a rest home. Price was even with the quality of the establishment. read more

We got there at 10:55. No one told us they did not open until 11:00. No sign out front to tell us to wait to be seated. People showed up at 11:03 and were immediately seated with menus. Hostess still did not acknowledged us so we left. We will never return due to extreme rudeness. read more

Neat little place, one of the very few bright spots that is the culinary wasteland of Blackstone. The layout is standard family dining but the atmosphere is welcoming. Try the pork BBQ - mildly seasoned without being too bland - but skip the fried apples - too much cinnamon and a little oily. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the side dishes are in the perfect proportion. Overall, it's a great value for the money. Try it. read more

I tried to call in a order for 20 minutes. No one picked up the phone. Went to place my order for a chef salad in person and it took 45 minutes. Not only did they take forever to make the salad, but the salad was really small to pay $10 for it. I am totally disappointed and will no longer support this restaurant. read more

Excellent food! They serve everything from seafood to burgers to greek salads. My family and I went in one night for dinner and I have to say, it was awesome. Service was outstanding! I ordered a greek salad, my husband ordered a gyro and my two grandkids split a burger. Food took about 30 minutes for the food to come out but didn't matter to us because we were admiring the atmosphere. If I could complain on anything about this restaurant it would probably be the outside. The outside of the building was kinda run down and old making eating there seem unappealing but it all turns around if you walk through the door! Will definitely be dining again! I recommend!!!! read more

We waited 1hour for our food and the waitress did not come to our table to check on us or remove the plates from the people who had salads. They display a sign that states we support our troops but don't offer military discounts to the troops. Restaurant needs some updating. And we will not be eating there again. read more
