We hired Sylvia in October 2020, and over the course of several months, she took us on house hunts, emailed with us through many nights, and helped us figure out the best neighborhoods and areas to consider. I can't stress this enough: Sylvia was extremely patient with us, especially as our home criteria frequently changed: from detached homes in Pickering and Ajax to condos in Toronto. She was quick to point out listings we might like, was incredibly quick to respond to our communication, and whenever we wanted to make an offer, Sylvia was there to give us the best advice in terms of what would be a fair bid not only to get the home, but also to make sure we weren't overpaying. During home tours, she was astute in pointing out details she liked or flaws that might be overlooked. When we found homes we liked, she made sure to accommodate our busy work schedules and came out with us on many Friday nights and weekends. She also did all of this during the height of the pandemic, which added its own difficulties to the real estate market and the process of searching for homes in general. Finally, when we found a place we truly loved, Sylvia was our champion when it came to dealing with the sellers. We ended up getting our dream home for a price we thought was impossible in the current market -- that was all her. We absolutely love our home, and we have Sylvia to thank. She is kind, intelligent, and calm. She's everything you could possibly want in a realtor who represents you in the home-buying process.

She's extremely efficient and an effective communicator. There was never any "chasing" involved - you contact her, she responds. You have a question, she answers. At our initial meeting she was far from impressive and did not seem well informed about our rights as a seller. We decided to find out a little more about her to make sure we were not misjudging her. It turns out our gut feeling was correct. Apparently she has a long documented history of entering into multiple different legal agreements only to turn around and sue in an attempt to nullify them. Our home is our most valuable asset and we refuse to hire someone who cannot be trusted to abide by a contract she enters into. We do not want to worry about getting sued years down the road because a notoriously litigious agent decided she wanted more money than our agreement stated. I remember when the name Harvey Kalles Real Estate meant dealing with agents with integrity and honesty. We have decided not only to use a different agent but also to use another real estate agency. Buyer beware.
