A saucy creamy delight with 2 large dumplings, the french might do little portions but the Lyonnais don't skimp on the quenelles. While on the one hand I wish they'd branch out and quenelles become a dish served here in the US, on the other it preserves its novelty and appeal by staying within Lyon borders.

The crawfish quenelle rounds almost acted like croutons with a deep seafood flavor! They also had a range of soups in plastic jugs, which looked good but we didn't try. There was a small counter for a few people to dine in, although it's obvious that most of their business is people taking away to prepare at home. We bought two large special ones and a selection of smaller ones to try. We followed the cooking instructions and served with Bordier butter that we bought nearby at Cellerier.
