This pharmacy refused to refill a medication today because there was not enough money in it. They are cherry picking which of my refills they feel like doing based on profit. I'm not kidding. They literally told me to go to Walgreens. I wanted to support local, but I'll be transferring my multiple prescriptions elsewhere. So disgusted & disappointed! read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy, compounding or otherwise. If you've never used a compounding pharmacy, you need to know what they do. They take individual ingredients and make specific formulations with them, as ordered by your doctor. Sometimes these come in the forms of creams or nasal sprays. I've done business with several other compounding pharmacies before this, two others in Arizona. Everything here seemed to start out fine EXCEPT, just like the other reviews say... it took WEEKS to get the prescription filled. I decided to be chill about it and accept it. I wanted to support what looked like an all-female run business. I would have rather gotten it faster because my doc expected a 4 week medication regime and then a re-visit. This ate into the time I had to complete the regime. Anyway, when I went to pick up the meds, despite it being WEEKS getting it, I was told they were "short" the needed amount of meds and that I would get bottle number 3 of 3 "next week." That never happened. I ended up calling my local doc to ask for a new Rx in the meantime and I picked up both the new Rx and bottle #3 of 3 of the old Rx on the same day, three whole weeks after I picked up my original prescription. This is where things get absolutely FREAKY. Keep in mind I'm still on bottle #2 of 3 of the old Rx and using it is 100% fine. No problem. When I pick up bottle #3 of 3 (the "remainder" they owed me from 3 weeks ago) it caused me instant high intensity allergic reaction. So serious that I left home and went to the hospital, twice. I phoned Mixtures and followed up with email. Despite me explaining multiple times that bottle #2 is fine with no bad reaction, but bottle #3 dispensed 3 weeks later is causing anaphylactic response... they try to blame ME!! NO KIDDING. There is clearly something different in the liquid between bottle #2 and bottle #3 but they REFUSE to take any responsibility and REFUSE to send the bottle out for 3rd party testing as I requested. Instead, I got a bizarre accusation that "your body has added another ingredient or 2 to the list of medications that should be avoided due to allergic reactions." (This is a direct quote.) I believe that means they are accusing me of taking on outside product that causing me anaphylaxis but somehow am not realizing it? This is absolutely 100% bizarre. I only get the severe allergic reaction when I spritz their bottle #3 and no other time, not even when using bottle #2 and I have used them SIDE BY SIDE one day as an experiment. Bottle #2 at 8am in one nostril (no problem) and bottle #3 at about 10am in the other (instant throat closing). What can I say but BEWARE. Read the other reviews. DO NOT LET THEM split up your prescription and deliver some of it weeks later. If you have a problem with the medication, do NOT expect them to offer any sort of resolution except tell you to stop taking the "good" bottle and that you, somehow are mysteriously ingesting something that you are allergic to WITHOUT KNOWING IT (?) which is causing *their* product later in the day to make you have an allergice reaction ???? This is the height of absurdity and no doubt, I am not coming back and the next thing I do after submitting this review is I'm filing a complaint with the AZ Pharmacy Board. INSANE. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for 8 years and have been satisfied until today. Their single pump dispenser for testosterone cream does not work. Period. I get a 3 month supply and 3/4 way through the pump stops working. This has happened 3 times already. I asked to go back to the click dispensing packaging that has actually worked the past 8 years with no issues and they said that will be an extra 5 dollars. Unbelievable! They are dispensing medication in faulty delivery system and will not fix and wants you to pay extra for something that actually works. They said its due to new regulations and out of their control. What a cop out and poor customer service. read more

UPDATE: Lori you clearly didn't read my review. I'm pissed off because this is the second time i've been lied to straight to my face from someone at your shop. I called the vet and they said the refill request was never put in last week until I sent an email to your shop on 11/27 asking for a status on my cats meds. I was emailed by your pharmacist that you guys already sent a request over, but clearly that didn't happen. I know my vets office. I know they don't lie. You guys have lied to me in the past, so why would I believe you? Also Elements is nice & friendly & more caring than you guys ever will be. I've already got my meds and they were able to fill them right away. Stop LYING. Like I said, I will be reporting your shop. 11/27: If i could give this place -100 stars I would. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THEY HAVE LIED TO ME. I sent in a refill request a week ago & I emailed them asking for an update. I was told they sent in the request already a couple days ago but will send it again. I got ahold of the vet & they said they NEVER received a refill request until today. This place sucks A LOT. Everyone here is always so rude & uncaring. They don't give a f*** if you can't get your meds or your pets meds. DONT WORK IN HEALTHCARE IF YOU DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS!!!! Absolutely the best pharmacy. Customer service is amazing. The pharmacist knows us and is extremely knowledgeable. Our medications are always filled on time. They are able to get the medications for us that other pharmacies can't. They always update us with any potential issues (usually on the Dr side not them) and work with our medical providers to ensure prescriptions are filled. We fill several prescriptions here despite the fact our insurance says they are out of network - we would fill every single Rx here if we could. read more

Sad to say I'm going to have to find a new compounding pharmacy. I've been going here for years and I have no medication left. New script was called in Apr 28 and to this date, still haven't received it. It's never taken this long to refill. Time to move on. read more

This place has been really great to work with, no difficulties at all. They are always quick with the scripts, from my experience and make it really easy. And, the pharmacist has been so accommodating, really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She is really awesome. I went by this place on 12/18/17 to drop off a new prescription. The hours on their website say they are open until 6 pm but there was a sign on the door at 5:11 saying "Closed". Oh well, I went down the street to Sarouja pharmacy and they were open. read more

My sons prescription was called in and nobody called me. This was 2 months ago. Life happened severely over here and doctor told me they called it in so I finally followed up.in case you are wondering I'm a single mother with two life threatening autoimmune conditions working alot raising two kids one with special needs. So I get very busy and sick sometimes.They have no documentation showing they ever called yet claimed they did. How can I know if I have a script waiting to be filled with no communication? This pharmacy is not your regular chain drug store. The staff is always friendly and the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and kind. I realize a compound prescription can take time to make. I call in my prescription and they always give me their best estimate on when it will be available for pickup. I was completely out one time and I had to wait, however they let me know as soon as it was ready. read more

Very irritated and will never use this location again. Was told by Thursday I would get a call with my sons medication for pick-up.... didn't happen. I then called Friday and asked to have it by the long weekend because his poor little bum was blistered and hurting I spoke with a worker who then promised me my son's medication would be ready by the end of that day before the weekend!!!! And nothing!!!!! My poor babe then suffered all weekend until we could pick up at diff pharmacy monday. So I guess idk just poor customer service , thanks for the shitty weekend! read more

Pharmacist does not appear to have knowledge of basic compounding science, or to have the client's interest in mind. When you work in healthcare it is important to be competent in your job description, as a compounding pharmacy the customers that seek services are those that need medications specially made for one reason or another. I had done my own research prior to picking up medications but I needed guidance to make a medication that would actually help my son and not hurt him even more. The pharmacist was not helpful or knowledgeable about the ingredients in medications, this is dangerous in many ways for people with allergies and a wide array of health concerns. I recommend going to medmetrix (chandler) they worked with me to tailor the medication I needed without the harmful ingredients (which was actually very simple to do) and were able to do so in a day because now I did not have a medication since mixtures took a week to prepare a medication that did not even follow my doctors script order or the instructions discusses over the phone. Horrible experience, also note to pharmacist asking a mother "what would even happen" to a baby with allergies taking the wrong ingredients is dismissive, condescending and simply unprofessional. Do yourself a favor make the drive to medmetrix. read more

Wow. All I can say is that these guys are phenomenal. They are always very professional and caring. My elderly kitty requires medication for a chronic condition. Whenever I pick up her refill the staff asks me how she is feeling. The staff is so courteous that I feel as if I'm a family member. If you need medication compounded visit Mixtures.
