We went to Miyako solely based on the previous Yelp reviews and we were NOT disappointed. The dinner began with the very friendly waitress recommending that i not order too much food, as i was ordering two portions of rolls, (California and Salmon) in addition to some Miso soup and chicken and pork teriyaki plates. The waitress recommended that if i was still hungry i could certainly order more, and she recommended an alternative; rather than ordering a portion of 8 California rolls and 8 Salmon rolls, she recommended that i order a 50/50 which would be 4 California rolls and 4 Salmon rolls, which is what we did. We also passed on the Miso soup. So our dinner commenced.....the 4 California rolls and 4 Salmon rolls were pretty large sized, a lot bigger than i am used to eating regardless of where in the world i have previously eaten Japanese rolls ( my comparison was to size rolls provided in the United States and also in the United Arab Emirates).
Both the California rolls and Salmon rolls looked beautiful, i kicked myself because i did not take a photo of them! They tasted delicious! They tasted extremely fresh and were so-very good!
Attached i am including two photos, one is of the Teriyaki Chicken which includes a bowl of white rice and also a small salad. The Teriyaki Chicken came served over some cabbage which complemented the meal very nicely.
Likewise, there is a photo of the Teriyaki pork which also came with a bowl of white rice and a small salad.
Both meals were spectacular. We will be visiting this place again real soon!
In speaking to the waitress, most of their business is during the lunch time because there are many business establishments near this location (offices/European Commission, etc). At the time of our dinner, on Wednesday at 8 pm, there was only one other table occupied with 3 people and our table with 2.
Meal was paid for with a chip protected credit card.
I have eaten at many Japanese restaurants in many different countries, and this one, with its meal quality and freshness, and value, was worth every euro! read more
