After…read moregetting yanked around for over a year from my previous contractor, I had enough of poor communication, false hope and non action. It wasn't easy to find Justin and my hope was disintegrating after being ghosted by people who never showed up, people who showed up then don't follow through with the estimate, or people who didn't honor appointments. Thankfully he restored my confidence! Justin is knowledgeable, down to earth and reliable! R E L I A B L E!!!! I was impressed when we first met that he showed up on time. Not only that, he permitted us to purchase our own materials and provided a materials list. We saved a lot of money just on that. Justin installed a bay window that we had in our garage for 17 months after being ghosted by our original contractor. We were thrilled with the workmanship, and the whole process honestly. From the contract to the scheduling to the work- everything ran like a well oiled machine. He also tore down the ugly fiberglass brick that was installed in 1970 something and replaced it with clip stone. Justin did a great job choosing the color pattern as we chose willow peak which has a variety of colors. We will definitely be working again with Justin for other projects we have. He is a skilled contractor and his crew is very pleasant too. They go the distance! I feel very grateful that we found his company. His crew was kind enough to load our trailer with unused supplies we had to return, they made sure to clean up after working, and were respectful. Over the years, Tom Sterling has performed several odd jobs for us, both privately and at our…read morebusiness. Many of the projects he's completed for us over the years turned out very well. Most were delayed, a couple were full of problems, but until last year, we were quite satisfied with the end results. In early 2011, Tom installed a flat rubber roof at our place of business, and it has leaked from day 1. Cost was approx $4500. Over the course of a year, he "repaired" it a few times but he could never stop the leaks. The situation got so bad that we had to have a more qualified roofing company come in and professionally do what Tom could not. We opted for Vera Construction and they were very professional. Vera informed us that the correct solution is to tear off the Sterling roof and do it right. That bill was north of $9000. A band-aid was to professionally seal the leaks for $2100, so we chose that method. We asked Sterling for a $4500 refund and he asked if he could pay us back with a combination of cash, materials and labor. We agreed, so long as he was professional and timely. Tom came back to replace 10 soiled ceiling tiles - more than a month later than promised, but to his credit he did the work. We verbally agreed that he would come back in 2 weeks and give us an estimate on other odd jobs to pay us back the rest of his debt. Over 5 weeks went by, and he never showed.... even after he called us to promise "I'll come by one night this week". After ANOTHER week, I finally sent him a registered letter in late-March demanding a full refund for the failed roof, in 2 installments. Half by May 1, 2013 and the balance by June 1, 2013... as it is clear this "pay you back with labor and materials" is never really going to happen. The day he received my registered letter, he left me a voicemail trying AGAIN to barter with labor and materials. I elected to not call him back as I am done falling for these promises. It's now May 3 and we have received NO communications and NO money from Sterling Electric.

I contracted him in May of 2018 to do electrical work at my home and paid him half to get started. The contract stated he would re-wire 4 rooms, put new outlets in and also I needed my main electrical cable shortened and re-attached to my outside due to other work done. He stated he would start in about 2 wks(his favorite line) well he did come with a helper and did some work but then the rains came and his home was getting flooded so he had to leave WELL that was over a year ago. Many calls and text msgs I finally got him to return this year in July (after he texted he had a sinus infection and maybe he should come) Uh that wasn't happening again so he did show up for a couple of hours and ended up screwing up my switches and of course hasn't been back since. I finally said how ridiculous this was and if he didn't want to do the job then I wanted a refund. His reply was "How much r u thinking for a refund" .....after a few more text msgs and getting ready to go to the magistrates office I finally got my check in the mail....crossing my fingers now that it doesn't bounce!! DO NOT USE HIM FOR ANYTHING!!!

In January it was really cold, somewhere in the low 20's or less, one of my pipes froze and leaked. As I called a few companies, one even told me that if I was not a customer already, they would not do the job for me. Luckily, this company with such a horrible cold weather came in and did the job, as soon as possible and became my heroes for January. The job was done fast and the price for the repair was excellent. I am so happy, if only all companies worked this way. I will always use them for any plumbing need again. Best of the Best.

There is only one good and reliable plumber left on staff, his attention to detail and track record are impeccable. His name is Joe, and I'd recommend that you request him to be the one to come out - Its worth it to even pay more for it. If he started his own business tomorrow, I'd be surprised if it had less than 5 stars. If he has to bring assistants, I'd recommend you supervise them. If you need fuel oil, go with Evans in Summit Hill as an alternative - they are cheaper.
