I was so excited to check out MMD in Hollywood! I love cannabis and I love Hollywood AND---they had a show on Hulu this year! I wanted to see the people who work at the shop who were on the show~! Welps, none of them were there when I went, but I won't hold that against the shop. Staff was very kind and very eager to help. This is not a shop you browse around in, it's more of a they'll help you find what you need shop. The main issue though is it's so incredibly overpriced. I had literal sticker shock when she told us a disposable vape I usually buy for $35 was $60 at MMD, wowzas. My friends were like yah, MMD is known for being overpriced. Now that being said, we were given a coupon for 20% off on our second visit. But goodness, I sadly won't be back. read more

The customer care is below average to say the least. The selection is decent a touch over priced but not over the top, the value of the whole experience is ordinary nothing special. And word to the wise it seems they are very desperate for a tip which I don't understand why I should feel obligated too tip when all the clerk is doing is handing me some weed to buy, I fail to see how that deserves a tip especially when the people who work for this poorly run establishment have such conceited attitudes and obvious personality flaws. Let's be honest -Mmd is a hit and a miss no matter what day of the week. I went and took a friend and he didn't want to go in but after he seen what I got he wanted to check it out for himself. For me Justice was informative and my friend had a miss with Gabriel. Nothing wowed me as far as selection with a lot of mid disposals to choose from. The site offers 30% FTP but they will not honor it as they did my friend dirty for his own experience. No deals whatsoever for walk in and I guess nothing for a referral/ftp. I'm not sure what would be the best option for your buck as I see things a tad overpriced compared to competitors. Not to mention they do not even know who you are or update the system because even though I have been here a handful of times I received the return discount text for FTP. Whoever answers the phone may hang up on you depending what you ask which is rude af. Get it together MMD it's a new year. read more

I called this shop FOUR days in a row about missing item in my weedmaps order, and four days in a row, I was told that someone would call me back. I called within about 90 seconds of realizing that they forgot my item, and instead of saying they'd run it right out to me...he said someone could call me about it in the morning. He said he found my order in the system, made a note, wrote down my name, and the manager would call me. She did not. I called the next day and was told she was in meeting all day but that she would call me. She did not. He was the NICEST person the entire time, and I really want to stress that, because while his customer service attitude was so great, and he was so apologetic, and assuring...what happens next sucks... After 4 days of me calling, talking to the super nice guy who assured me that someone would call me, and then no one EVER calling me back...I decide to go in and take care of it in person. Like...how hard is it? Either just process a refund, or give me the missing item (I ordered two 3.5g jars of Cereal A La Mode flower, and they only delivered ONE). Wellllll...I go to google the address, and two stores pop up as being the same distance away from me. Weedmaps says "MMD Hollywood", so that's who I'd been calling. THIS store. They confirmed that they saw my order in their system- he never once said "it looks like you may have purchased this through weedmaps via our sister location". So...when I pulled out the receipt to bring it with me, and saw that it said NORTH Hollywood...yikes. So I drive to the North Hollywood location, and the guy badically called me a liar. He said "you never called. I would have had a delivery to you that same night." I told him I called EVERY day for four days, and that I might have called the wrong location, because my weedmaps account just says "Hollywood" and not "North Hollywood"...and the guy basically looked at me like I was a complete dumbass. He was stonefaced and unyeilding, and I left the store CRYING. The security guard asked me if I was okay. A customer in the parking lot had to calm me down, I was crying so hard. Another customer flagged me down on the sidewalk and offered to buy me whatever, but it's not about the money. I have the money. I just can't stand people playing in my face. No one from THIS location EVER called me back. If they had, this all could have been sorted out so nicely, and both locations would have had a regular customer in me. Ask the guy who answered the phone, and he'll tell you I was calm, polite, and understanding the entire time. This could have ended as just as "oopsies" all around. I JUST moved to North Hollywood from Ktown, and I was looking for my weekly spot. I'm so upset. For Clarity: Weedmaps says my order came from the Hollywood location, but the receipt itself says North Hollywood. Both locations acknowledged my order, and neither accept responsibility. I will update with a picture of the receipt when I am back in town. read more

MMD Hollywood and its current staff, including manager Ronnie, allow and condone racist comments in their store. I was picking up an order today (1/2/25) when a young white woman walked in and tried to cut the check-in line. When myself and another guest who were ahead politely mentioned there was a line she ignored us, but the receptionist chimed in she would check us in order of arrival. When it was our turn, this woman once again jumped in front and tried to check-in before us, but the receptionist reiterated she would check us in first. The young woman then decided to make a racist comment telling me "why don't you go back to where you came from" - the most elementary racist statement you could make to a non-white person. I told her "I'm from LA you dumb b*tch" and the receptionist called the manger Ronnie over. I explained that another guest made a racist comment to me telling me to go back to where I came from, which was heard by the receptionist and another customer, he responded there was nothing he could do, that he can't control what other guests/customers say. I completed my order and upon leaving saw the manager and receptionist CONSOLING the young woman who made the racist comment. You are a business, you have every right to refuse service to a customer who racially accosts another customer - let alone for simply telling her there is a line. Disappointed is an understatement, what Ronnie and the receptionist did was give tacit approval to this extremely juvenile racist behavior. Shame on them, and shame on MMD Hollywood for serving her after. read more
