All I can say is wow. I stopped in to get gas and buy a drink, was in my car safely sending a message to a friend, resting for just 10 minutes as I just got off the road after driving from Florida and the owner sends out a henchmen telling me I have to leave because I sat there too long. I was parked in the spot that I moved to after pumping gas for maybe 15 minutes tops. Needless to say, I'll never return and will let all of my people in the area know to avoid spending money there too. read more

Love this place! They seem to always be busy especially given the location. Everyone that works here is great - they are warm and personable even when they are busy. When and if there is a line inside of the store, everyone here makes checking out efficient so you never wait very long at all. I love that about this place and I can generally get in and out of here in just a few minutes. I work close by near Booth Park so this is my favorite place to stop when I come and go from Birmingham! There is a Tim Horton's (yes with drive-thru) attached to the store which is awesome - and the access is open inside between the two businesses. This fact alone essentially makes it a one-stop and is super convenient. The selection of wine, beer, and liquor is extensively impressive, and I've always been able to find exactly what I'm looking for when I come here. I can't help but mention that even with their prime location - nothing feels like it's priced like a "Birmingham" markup can be. They also do 10% off when you buy 3 bottles of wine which is hard to resist! If you're a Sauvignon Blanc fan - I highly recommend the Nobilo (it's a New Zealand bottle, too!) and whereas most places set the prices for this bottle at $12(ish) or so, Ghafari sells for a set 9.99 (I believe?) and is even less expensive if you buy 3 bottles. Plus, they always have several in the cooler so it's always chilled. Love this place! read more

I stopped in this afternoon to fill up and let my 5 year old use the bathroom (which was really clean along with the rest of the store). When we were checking out, my son began telling the cashier all about his two recently lost teeth in way more detail and for way longer than any stranger should ever have to sit through. Not only did they listen, they engaged with him and he left feeling so important. Tonight my son is still talking about his new friend from the gas station. Seriously amazing costumer service that made a 5 year old feel more than important. I'm not from the area, but if you're anywhere near there please go back for me! read more

They are all so friendly there! Very convenient that it is a 24 hour gas station. I work in downtown birmingham and sometimes get off around 11pm or go in at 4am. It's nice to go there if I need something quick or if I want to get gas without the hassle of traffic. Also connected to a Tim Horton's (with a drive thru) so it can be a one stop shop without getting "gas station coffee." The only thing I don't like is the parking. It's hard to back out of your parking space if people are pumping gas behind you. Very tight. I cant count how many times I've needed to park at a pump to run inside for something quick, even though I know I shouldn't! read more

I am an elderly woman, and have been part of the Birmingham community for some time now. This has been my gas station since i was a young child! It honestly is the best most amazing customer service! It has everything in there, beer, wine, liquor, snacks, and gas!!! Employees know you by first name, and are willing to help you pump gas if need be, and even carry heavier items out to your car. The owner is an amazing guy, and gives back to the community and many charities. read more
