I myself have young children and despite another review from "Jill" I feel completely fine bringing my children in the store. What is her primitive mind thinking? Does she think someone is going to jump over the counter and touch them?!?!?! Everyone should always be given a second chance. Not to mention "Jill's" children are All of legal age. But when I stopped in, all the spots but the one were full. I had to wait a few minutes to let a spot clear, but it's flow seemed nice. I used my GasBuddy card for a pay-at-the-pump transaction (to get my 5 cents off per gallon discount) and although the filling portion posed no problems, getting a receipt did cause a problem. However, I wanted a receipt (I keep receipts as reminders to write these reviews at first), so I headed inside when the paper got stuck in the machine (when I had my one finger too close to the receipt door/opening). (I could feel it moving around and I could see it, but it didn't come out.) When I went inside, the cashier was nice. She tried to crack a joke how instead of running around the parking lot yelling (and that's where I started laughing getting the jist), she printed me a receipt. According to your pin, the Manager in Training is really a nice person, but could use some common sense to not make such a joke (I almost took her literally, until I saw the direction she was going with the joke.) It was a first time running the "Gauntlet" up 9W from Coxsackie-Athens, but although not many trips have me going up to Albany via that side of the river, I don't expect to be back very soon. I saw a competitor around the corner from you, and although that competitors store is always a bit cheaper, I thank you for being the first station I noticed. I almost asked for an application to become a SmartPay member, but with everything I forgot and never asked...oops! I'll get to that online, I hope soon instead. Sorry. I've been finding myself stopping in to a few Cumberland Farms, though not many Cumberland Farms exist where I'm from (Dutchess Co, 55 minutes away): they become more common as I proceed north and up near you where things are heavier.

This local Stewart's shop always has specials depending on events taking place in town. The clerks are all very nice and friendly, The stores carry a large array of grocery items, plus their own brand of milk products and ice cream (New York State's biggest industry - for those who may not be aware of it - is not tourism, but actually dairy farming, producing 73% of the nations yogurt, among other items). Getting back to Stewart's, though, they are a very community-oriented company and they really try to please their customers. This location is right off the main highway, and offers gasoline, too, so it gets pretty busy here on the weekends with folks stopping in for a quick bite with their fill-ups. They serve grab-n-go breakfast items, sandwiches, hard-packed ice cream in many flavors, coffees, snacks, candy, smokes and lottery tickets. Considering their proximity to the road, they very thoughtfully also offer a small section of emergency automotive supplies for motorists. Although they do not stay open all night, they are a good, reliable staple, and a welcome sight for travelers and locals alike in these vacation regions of New York who need gas and food along their way.
