Avoid if you can. First off the prices are nearly double. Today they were charging 3.99 per gallon for regular. The price at other places is in the low $2 range. Secondly, they expect you to prepay. And there are no decimal points. I entered 30 and it authorized 30 cents of gas. It then shut off the pump at 24 cents, keeping 20% of ny money. Then I had to enter 3000 to authorize $30 this time it shutoff at $29.76 again keeping my money. This place is a ripoff in terms of prices and in terms of dispensing gas. read more

Went here to get my tires inflated. What a mistake. Bad enough it's $1.5 to inflate the tires the parking spots to park the car to inflate them are all blocked off by cones. They give you three minutes but if you need to inflate 4 tires the pump is so underpowered it'll take longer than that easily. So you'll actually be spending $3. They suggest I spend $15 for unlimited refilling after I said the time ran out to quickly. What? Not going to this place again. And have you looked at the gas prices here? We were trying to gas up before returning the car, apparently if you want to just to fill up the car instead of a certain amount, you will have to have the employee to help you, This greedy dude Khan, lying that it's cash only( yea right), we didn't argue too much with him gave him cash, so he swiped his card and filled the gas. Totally screwed me on State Inspection. Failed me on front brakes. Quoted $175 to replace pads that were just checked by my Honda Odyssey dealer last month. Honda had a $80 deal so I brought it in there. Guess what, 4mm+ on pads. Not close to failing in NY State (~1mm metal on metal). $27 retest and 5 hours later. I'm reporting to State. I came here after a horrible experience with another garage, who was overcharging and trying to sell me additional work that didn't need to be done on my car. I saved over $400 by coming to the Mobil station, who treated me with respect and honesty. They kept my car overnight to run a series of diagnostics and confirmed that I only needed a starter (the other place said I needed to replace my battery too). So there was cost savings right there! Brought my car in for an annual inspection and they wanted to charge me a few hundred because they claimed my brake pads were too worn and had to be replaced before they can pass my inspection. I told them no thanks because I actually had the pads replaced only 2k miles before. They quickly changed their tune and said I needed to replace some miscellaneous things like my wipers and needed a fluid top off. At this point I was keen on leaving to go somewhere else less shady to get the inspection renewal but they were quite persistent. I finally agreed to a simple oil change since it was quite apparent that I was not going to leave without giving then something. I would advise you to stay away from anything 'garage'-wise. Filling up for gas though should be OK since you can do that at the pump yourself. But I sure would not be patronizing this fine establishment any more! read more

I had a crazy experience at this place today. I was completely out of gas on my way to upstate and had no other choice but to stop there and filled up regular gas which coast 4.56$ per gallon there. I asked the guy to make it for 20$, and repeated it twice. While filling up my car he left to talk to his coworker and the moment I noticed it was over 46$ already on the screen!!! The guy said nothing but sorry, since they charged my car already, so I talked to the manager and he also couldn't provide me any solution but to be happy and go away. Shady..took my car in for annual inspection sticker a year ago. They said there were issues with it and that as a result it failed to read. Proceeded to say I would need a new sensor and some other repairs. I declined since i'm all under warranty and just took it to the dealer instead who proceeded to tell me someone had reset the on board diagnostics and thats why it wouldn't read as it has to driven for a certain amount of miles before it will work. Stay away and/or be suspicious if 'repairs' are needed. read more

I did my luxury car inspection here in January 2017. I got immediate service, prompt attention, and a free beverage from the owner while I waited. Honest and attentive, they charged me less than the usual $37 for my car inspection and sticker, and the owner even made an outstanding car suggestion to improve fuel performance which I accepted. I have dealt with this Mobil station for years getting my cars inspected, and have only good things to say about their staff and service. Highly recommended to all car owners. Convenient midtown location on 11th Avenue. Probably the earlier you will go to get your car inspected, the more attention you will get right away, and the better off you will be, as it tends to be a high traffic area. read more

This is the first time I have EVER written a review, and if I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. So, I brought my car in for an annual emissions inspection -- Initial impression - very dirty and unkempt conditions, at first they said the person who does the inspections left at 7, and then he magically appeared to do mine. Rude workers. Actual inspection - the guy failed to note my license plate number and recorded my mileage as 171k, actual mileage was 17k. When I pointed out the error with the plate, they said that the VIN number is there so if I want another print out with the correction it would cost me another $37 as if it was another inspection. When I pointed out the mileage error, they proceeded to tell me I'm wrong and argue rudely. I forced them to turn my car on and count the five (5) digits on the odometer, not six (6) that it would take for me to be over 100k miles (keep in mind, it's a late 2010 model car, so how he could even think it was getting closer to 200k miles is beyond me). After having to wait an additional 20 minutes, they finally brought me a new print out with both the mileage and plate corrected. But instead of giving it to me, the manager (if you can even call him that) proceeded to point to the corrected license plate saying "You have to pay us another $10." I told him to call whoever he needed to (meaning the police), but the mileage was their fault, as was not recording the license, and I would not be paying anymore. After another minute of arguing, he realized I wouldn't give in, shoved the papers at me, and told me to leave. I would never return here again. read more
