Recently searching for a first car for the newest driver in our family, Ward pointed us in the right direction and we ended up making an excellent purchase thanks to the insider advice. I have an old classic car as well as a Hilux and a new Corolla and when I moved to the area a few years ago I was recommended I go to Ward for my vehicle servicing and repair. Ward does my servicing, mechanical work and WOF's on all my cars and he is such a genuine honest mechanic. He has been in the business for donkeys' years, so he really knows his stuff, and nothing is a problem. He is hands down the most honest, thorough, and trustworthy mechanic I've ever been to, and I know my cars are in safe hands with Ward. His no BS thorough job saves me time and money in the long run, and I can trust everything he says. Having Ward in the same suburb I live in is awesome but even if he was 50Kms away I'd make the journey because I know he will respect and look after my pride and joy and treat it as if he owns it - this alone is a massive weight off my mind when I drop the keys off. The job is always done to an exacting standard, within budget and specified timings. If there ever is anything else required (and there always is on a classic car) Ward calls me before he starts the work with options as well as updated costs and timings. I cannot recommend Glen Eden Auto Services strongly enough, especially if you have a classic car or in fact any car which you want to take somewhere that is honest, will not rip you off and gives you peace of mind with a no-nonsense quality job. The art of good old fashioned customer service is not lost on Ward either, Ward and his receptionist are some of the friendliest and most accommodating people I have had the pleasure to deal with from any industry, not just automotive. 5 stars all the way and highly recommended!

First they had it wrong in their system so no reminder, then I had to beg for a courtesy car, and had to wait over a week for a day with a runabout. I arrive promptly at 9am and they hand over keys to a mirage which was parked wedged so tight between two other vehicles I had to flag down a rep to extract it. The loaner was dirty, inside and out. With the tank almost on empty. 4pm and noone bothered to call, so I called them... Kept on hold for 15mins while the rep finds my car... It's in the groomers, head on over (in rush hour traffic) and it should be ready when you get here. I arrive at 4.35pm The bill astounded me.... $750! For a standard service and oil change on a new vehicle with less than 11,000km!! It was $250 to service my Lexus at Toyota!!! We expressed our dissatisfaction and disappointment and the rep couldn't care less, he just took the credit card and swiped the transaction through. And then threw back the keys. Left to go find our car, it was nowhere to be seen in the top lot. We trapsed back in to ask where our vehicle is located... 15mins later while standing in the cold... Our wet, barely groomed truck arrived back. The vacuum didn't see the inside of the car. And the windows still had smears all over them. And the floor mats were worse for it all. What a complete failure of a service experience. We will never return and not be buying another Mitsubishi or anything with Andrew Simms. And I will definitely not recommend them. And look for another dealership to service the remaining scheduled services.

In the morning before work, it's high traffic time of day, so you are prohibited from turning in travelling east down Onewa Road, fair enough, I hear the odd beep of a horn from annoyed drivers as cheeky law breakers sneak in for petrol or shopping. For now this express is the busiest in the area, however there is news that a few 100 metres up the road in a few months another petrol service station will be opening, so we shall see how this effects them. Great for coffee and petrol stop, or perhaps to exchange that BBQ gas bottle, with nice helpful staff. I know that they do have competitive petrol rates .

As a woman with no idea about cars, I sometimes feel I'm being spoken down to or taken advantage of at other places, but I've always had really lovely service from Pigeon Mountain. They explain things clearly and get things done really quickly, and have given me excellent recommendations and advice. Best of all, the prices are actually reasonable! It's also worth going in to see the freakishly huge pot plant they have in the reception area - that thing's like a triffid!

Scott and Sharn are the two main mechanics at St Luke's and though they may not be the smiley-est of people, they are both really friendly, extremely thorough and full of good advice. I'd take helpful mechanics over a smile any day! Recently we had trouble getting a registration for my boyfriend's car and Sharn helped us figure out why it was happening and get it all sorted, even though it wasn't anything to do with St Luke's Tyre and Mechanical - they're just good guys. Whilst CPM specializes in European models, they are more than happy to service whatever make/model your car may be. I recently took my Subaru in here to get a headlight bulb replaced and renew my WOF. As my Nana and Grandad live down the road, I was in no hurry and told Tim to just call me when it was ready. About an hour later he rung to let me know the car was ready to be picked up. The WOF and headlight all together cost $70. Open 5 days a week from 7:30am, I would definitely recommend booking in to see Tim if you live in the area or have a European car.

Well, yeah, normally I would agree but the service at this family run station is just consistently that good that I felt obliged to write about it. First off, the family that run this place are fantastic. Always chipper, they never forget to ask how you day is going or if there is else they can help you with. I recently moved back home from overseas and they asked how long how I was back for. I couldn't believe they remembered me, it had been over a year! The icing on the cake though, is that they are just so god damn efficient. This might seem silly but when are running late it is really quite key. Literally, by the time you have pull up and get out of your car they have already unscrewed the petrol lid and are asking what you need. Not to mention, the minutes you save when you are already inside waiting to pay as soon as they put the petrol hose is back on the hook. It's efficiency at it's finest and I love it!
