The store is clean, organized and the staff that I've encountered is always friendly. A shout out the the head meat guy who ALWAYS says hello to me and asks me how I am today. Self check out employees are are super friendly also. Speaking of self check out, this location recently added 6 more self check lanes. I've never had a long wait checking out, not even on the weekends but now the small wait will be even less with more lanes added. What I love most about this location is the many managers special sections. I've scored so many amazing mark down it's truly like hitting the grocery lottery! Check out my pictures for all the fabulous finds. My favorite discount was when I found 4oz of smoked salmon pastrami for only $1.99! This stuff is regular price $8.49 and I got it for under $2! Yes, I cleared the cooler and bought all 4 packages they had. This location is awesome for some deep discounts. There is a very limited deli counter, no bakery counter and the meat department is very limited. They also do not seem to stock items as consistently as other locations. Now the bottle return area is another problem for me! It never fails that I come with my load of bottles to return and 2 of the 3 machines are not working. I will then go to track down an employee and maybe 30 minutes later they will be fixed. They really need a better system of bottle return machine repairs or maintenance.

The parking is odd but then again the store is shaped like a triangle so it's all laid out differently. My mom can not walk but a few steps so I always try to get handicap parking. It was Friday at 1pm and all but one of the handicap parking spots was taken. I slowly went around a corner as a mother and child were walking near the rear of my vehicle, and made my way to the one handicap spot when someone literally flew into it! They quickly bounced out and went into the store. Um, OK. I did find a spot somewhat close to the handicap spots. I LOVE that they had multiple, fully-functioning scooters! What a relief not to have to hunt down a rickety, barely charged one of two scooters situation that I face EVERY...SINGLE...TIME I go to the Meijer's on Hall Road. I rode a scooter out to our car and mom got on. I also loved that there were plenty of small shopping carts. The isles are large and very clean. The produce is fresh and plentiful. There are a lot of extra food items to choose from that you won't see in other grocery stores. I did notice the absence of the toys, sports and garden areas. This is a very large, well-appointed, attractive food store. They are located at the corner of 24 mile and Hayes in Macomb Township, MI.

What a joy to interact with skilled butchers at Nitsches who know their craft so well.
