I just had Jacqueline notarize docs for me because she sounded so competent on the phone. She charges a travel fee and when I said I'd try to find somewhere I could go to and avoid that fee she suggested places I could go. Very HELPFUL. But after I hung up I looked at the pile of papers with soooo many stickers and felt overwhelmed. This needed to be done quickly and perfectly. I couldn't risk messing up even one part of it. I called her back and she came to my place quickly. I could not be more satisfied. She is not intimidated by tons of paperwork. Some required one witness and some two. Some needed this others needed that. It could have been a nightmare if I'd tried to save money. I'm so glad my inner voice said just pay her. It ended up being less than I expected and it didn't seem like enough because she made a horribly difficult thing (to me) go smoothly. I had to pay her extra. She was worth it. Very nice lady. Parents needed will notarized. Since they had never done this it would have been nice to be asked a few screening questions. Such as, If you need witnesses please make sure to gather them. Or, I don't take credit card. Please have a check. They paid for her travel fees twice due to their lack of knowledge. Mine as well. Not her fault. It just would have added value and saved my indigent 90+ year old parents $70.00. Did not give them a receipt. When I emailed her for a receipt.... Crickets. She was Johnny on the Spot when she notarized but lacking in customer service. This was not an entirely unfortunate experience but she could have been a bit more helpful in getting us prepared for her visit. We called on Jacqueline and Colleen three times in 10 days as my father in law unexpectedly fell in. He wanted to ensure his wishes were in place and this required notary services. Due to the passing of my father we needed a notary to verify signatures on various documents dealing with trusts, military retirement, bank accounts, etc. I called Jacqueline and she was able to come exactly when I needed her two days after the call.
