Sure its a pretty easy course, but it's darn fun. We made it up this way about a week ago. To be honest, we were here just for the Moccasin creek course. The part would be obvious as its not near anything.
We were just following the route the map was sending us.
We passed things like Daytona and then exited away from St. Augustine to the west of 95. after about 10 minutes we came upon this course, darn near in the middle of nowhere.
There were a few cars that beat to the course that morn, but not that many people. It had a been a bit of ride, I would suggest hitting a bathroom before, as it just has a port-a-potty. No big deal for us though.
After a bit of warm up we hit the course. I should say, we heard of this course as one of the world champ McBeth set a course record here recently. He hit a birdie on almost every hole.
We knew from hole 1 it would be a good day. We almost birdied it to start. Its a wide open course through a large park. No wooded tunnels to guide through. It also has some fun features, like hole 18 is a lighthouse you have to hit. I believe it was 24 holes total. You don't have to play the bonus holes, but why not.
It was well worth the drive, and hope to be back next year. read more
