Too often with OBGYN visits, you feel rushed--like you're just being moved in and out--but that was absolutely not the case here. Macie was incredibly thorough, patient, and attentive. You could genuinely tell how much she cared, and she took the time to make sure everything was explained and that I felt heard. Dr. Seeker came in very prepared, was extremely kind and understanding of my history, and made me feel like he truly knew me--even though he hasn't been my OB in the past. You'll get more attention at a Planned Parenthood. Unless you enjoy being dismissed and disrespected, go elsewhere. They act like we're not paying customers here and in line for some kind of free government sponsored bread ration.

I have always recommended this office to my friends, as the office is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the care is next level. Some years ago, I voiced my concerns to Dr. Shepherd about potentially having PCOS. She took my claim seriously and gave me a formal diagnosis, which is more than I can say about other doctors I had raised this concern to. The past couple of months, I have been going through an ectopic pregnancy, which was at first thought to be a miscarriage. Dr. Shepherd and Dana Wicker were the two primarily responsible for my care during this time. These two women were incredibly professional, informative, and diligent in care when it came to my health and the potential risks this could cause. In addition, they were kind and compassionate as my husband and I went through our loss and the health anxiety it caused. I can say with full confidence that while this experience was incredibly difficult and heartbreaking, it was made better by the bedside manner and care provided by this office. All that being said, I will continue to be a regular patient here and recommend to anyone looking for an OB/GYN.

My husband and I made the decision that we were ready to start trying for a baby. For the 10 years…read morethat we've been together, I've either been on the pill (which gave me headaches) or had a hormonal or nonhormonal IUD. Back in my hometown, I was blessed with an OBGYN that my own mom went to and liked. Since I couldn't bring Dr. Coe with me to Texas, I was on my own this time. I ended up finding Dr. Lucero at Oakwood through a health concierge app that's offered through my employer, called HealthJoy. I told HealthJoy's chat feature what I was looking for and how far I was willing to travel. They definitely delivered here. My first appointment was at the end of March, to get caught up on all of the womanly stuff and talk baby-making. Much to my appreciation, Dr. Lucero wasn't just out to toss me in a paper gown and throw me in the stirrups. She acknowledged that seeing a new doctor can be stressful, and took the time to chat with me about what we were hoping to do. She patiently answered my questions, gave me time to change, and was very considerate during her exam. I decided to jump the gun after my visit and scheduled the next appointment for removing my IUD the second week of August. I was a bag of nerves, and was second-guessing my decision the whole week leading up to it. I'd had one removed (and immediately replaced with another) before, and the aftermath wasn't super fun. Again, Dr. Lucero read my mind with exactly how I was feeling, and reassured me everything was okay. And just like that, it was done! We also went over how things would work initially when it came to preggo time, how delivery would work out, and when my first appointments would be. I've been so impressed that I've already recommended her to three of my neighbors, one of which was already about 7 months pregnant! The reason I'm doing 4 stars instead of 5 is the front office itself. The ladies at the desk weren't exactly warm and fuzzy, and had that clinical way of speaking that could be interpreted as "listen and don't ask questions". She listens, takes her time with you, follows up, etc. My husband and I both felt extremely comfortable and at ease with her from the moment we met. Second, she's a great doctor. All our visits were informative and through, and she sent us to a specialist once when there was a potential possibility of a complication, as a precaution. Furthermore, and perhaps more importantly, is that she really cares. I know there are some doctors who push c-sections, inductions, cord banking, etc., but Dr. Mileur was all about "let's deliver a healthy baby". My delivery ended up being quite complicated - the baby was too big to come out vaginaly, but Dr. Mileur by NO means jumped to a c-section as a solution, until literally everything else was explored. She did end up performing my c-section, which was as smooth as could be, and the stiching was great - have been healing very well. My baby ended up in the NICU for a little while after birth, and she even went to visit him there (babies have a different doctor once they are born, so she literally went just to see how he was doing). She's definitely my doctor for all my future pregnancies.
