JAYDA is AWESOME! She takes her time, is meticulous and is worth every penny you tip her. She is quite the artist as well. I tip her WELL because she gives me her time instead of rushing me out so she can make her next buck. I have had my nails and pedis done there many times and generally LOVE IT. However, the guys in back (my nails lift EVERYTIME) don't do a very good job. Idk if it is a girl thing or if they have been doing it so long they don't put the TLC into it that I expect for the money I am paying. We were there for 2-3 hours. And, did not get what we wanted. The black nails were to fat and i told them i wanted it a coffin shape and i got and I got a rectangle. I can't even get started with the white one, they were meant to be short , but slim. They were slanted, fat, and they look like bubblegum nails. she even asked the nail tech if he can make them slimmer and a little bit sharper. My sisters nails for her high school graduation. They did not cure the gel all the way and the nails began bubbling and peeling, leaving black polish EVERYWHERE. She is beyond upset. Came here to get my nails and toes done before my Florida trip and the gel came off before I even left for Florida. Paid $45 dollars for the mani and pedi combo, totally not worth it. Not satisfied at all and would not recommend anyone to go here. Edit: Called and told them, they told me to go in they will take a look at it. I went in and all they did was just filled in the chipped part of my nails and just added a top coat. NEVER AGAIN. It was a waste of my time to go in and get it fixed. My daughter and friend went to get their nails done and were charged $10 extra dollars for coffin shaped nails. I come here regularly and ALWAYS get coffin nails and NEVER been charged extra for the shape. The polish looks HORRIBLE. Looks like a 5 year old painted them. My nails turned out beautiful and the people were very nice but 2 of the 3 friends I went with got cut by the artists they had and they charged us all an extra $25 not including the tip and never told us why. Also they gave one of my friends the wrong color for her accent and had to shave off the polish an re-paint them all. But otherwise the customer service was great. read more

If there were 0 stars they'd have it. Went in for a fill, guy kept complaining about my nails being too short. He started filing them and was being very rough and ended up hurting me so I said "ouch" and pulled my hand away. He got mad and yelled at me about my nails being too small, so I said "well maybe someone else can do them if you can't?" So he made me pay and leave with two nails filed, no polish or anything. He made me pay the entire fill price and did not provide me with the service. Worst experience of my life. Absolutely ridiculous, do not go here at all if you have the choice! read more

This place SUCKED! $65 dollar on a 20 minute deal? What the...? Their massages for mani-pedi is 30 seconds long. Basically just rub lotion on you. Their painting skills are that of a 2 year old. All around HORRIBLE. Being from California I didn't expect much in Wisconsin...this place definitely live up to the low standards I had for a nail place in this area. My mom, daughter and I went for a girls day. We all got pedicures and manicures. My daughter and I had 2 young gentleman work on us. They both did a wonderful job. Very pleased with the process and the final result. My mom had a female do her nails. She did a great job on her pedicure but her manicure was terrible looking. The gel paint job looked as if a 6 year old did it. I wish we had gone back and requested they be fixed but we were short on time. If you go, ask for one of the men or one of the young girls. I agree with the sanitation issues other reviewers mentioned. Overall seemed clean but the nail files were not and neither were the foot files. Also the manicure tables were covered in "dust" ....nail dust, skin, .....??? Yuck. If I were to go back I would ask for a specific person. read more

Listen to me when I say DON'T GO HERE! I let my nails grow and decided to treat myself to a manicure. The lady who did them was SO rude and unfriendly! She rushed through my manicure and was done in under 20 minutes! The polish is already lifting up from the sides of my nails and they look horrible! Had to go back twice I need a week and two days later they broke off again! Didn't finish the gel nails, my candy cane turned out as a racing stripe, and it took two hours of him filing and grinding; I look down and he completely sawed my nails down! I lost all of my length and didn't even ask he just started chopping! Took my daughter for a pedicure prior to vacay. That day they happened to be very busy. I have never been rushed thru a pedicure so fast. My daughters feet barely touched the water as, they did not start her at the same time as me, however, they finished the same time. I asked for round, got square. All my nails are crooked and after washing my hands the polish was still sticky. Had to sit back down twice for him to repolish and even after that they were still sticky. At least they were nice. Barely deserved his tip. read more

I will say that Henry who is the owner of model nails 2 is by far one of the best nail technicians. He also owns both of the model nails in the mall. I do agree that they do have interesting customer service they do tend to like to talk about you in another language. I guess that's their culture. Pathetic. I wish I could give this place -5 They don't listen to what you want. I asked for a gel manicure and a paraffin wax after. The attendant decided it was best to dip my hands in the paraffin prior to putting I asked them why they doing it this way and all I heard was cackling from all the ladies and most of them staring at me like I wAs some sort of harasser. Took my daughter here for her bday with friends... We got pedicures & I got a manicure as well... My feet were barely touched, the water was not warm, even after asking the guy to make it warmer.. Asked for French tip & it was a joke! Looked really bad, very wide white strip & very generic looking.. onto the manicure... the guy did absolutely nothing to my cuticules even after I asked him to.. The gel polish I had put on was wearing off by Saturday morning!! Keep in mind we were there Thursday afternoon. I did not tip well because of the service I got.. and the staff was complaining about it! I last time I had gel paint put in, it lasted about 3 weeks! This didn't even make it a week! If I could ask for a refund on the stars I would! Absolutely unenjoyable & not worth double of what I paid before... Definitely worth the $ if people can provide the service. TERRIBLE! I went in for a pedicure and I was appalled by the service. My nail tech didn't clean ANY of the tools she used on my feet...just put them right back in the drawer. YUCK. Not sure what they use for a lotion during the foot massage, but it burned! And like most everyone else's reviews the ladies were extremely rude and ignored you as a customer. I was also charged more than their signed advertised "because of the brand of nail polish I chose." Whatever that means. And when I didn't leave a tip on my credit card, the woman rolled her eyes at me! Seriously! What makes you think you deserve a tip? I'm not sure how they are still in business. I've visited this salon three times with two of my visits just in this month. I enjoyed my pedicure from my first visit. My last two visits have been for a full set of gel nails. The lady I spoke with told me they don't take appointments, but yet after waiting 30 minutes another customer walks right in to be serviced by the same lady I spoke with. My next issue the ladies don't sanitize their tools and reuse nail filers. Also they are not professional what so ever! Stopping the service to eat in front of their clients is never acceptable. The last time I went there the girl was so rude, she kept jerking my arms because I was tense because she was hurting me. I asked if she could do a design on one of my nails, I don't know if she didn't hear me or she didn't want to do it but she got up walked away and came back with my bill and I said I wanted a design and she said it would be extra. well I was already sick of sitting there long enough with this rude girl, who didn't even talk to me and just talked in her language to others around her. I have thought long and hard about this review and it makes me so disappointed and sad to have to say this. Model Nails has ALWAYS had exceptional service and quality. That is until this month. On June 10th I went in and received a pedicure from Ally that was mediocre. Unfortunately, after sitting for over 30 minutes for my toes to dry ( waiting for a friend) I accidentally bumped one of my nails and it needed to be fixed. I felt horrible! (I always am so appreciative of the work they all do!) I was patient as I waited to let someone know and once she was aware her tone was disrespectful and rude. She was definitely not warm or welcoming and I honestly was just ready to leave with how sloppy they looked. I wish I would have never tipped her for her service. I was honestly going to give her another generous tip for fixing my mistake but after making me feel worse than I already did, I did not tip her again. Today on June 30th, my mother and I went in together as it is something we typically do at least once a month for quality time and relaxation. We have been doing this for at least the last 7 months and know many of the wonderful ladies there and built good relationships with them. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait- no problem! We said we were going to run and grab food quick and be back. We returned 20 minutes later expecting another 10 minutes. When we arrived, Ally had rudely stated it would be another 30-45 minutes. Confused, we asked how that could happen. "Well you didn't sign the sheet!" (PLEASE tell me HOW our original 30 minutes could turn into an hour wait when we were back beforehand and how you could fit in four extra people in the 20 minutes we were gone?!!) I honestly can't remember what else that young woman said because she was so awful we had to walk away! Appalled by the rudeness and poor customer service we decided to head to their other salon in the mall. We were able to receive service right away and were greeted with smiles and professionalism. The work they did was amazing and they were tipped very generously. We drive out of our way to go here because we have always been treated with respect and the customer service was always phenomenal. I swallowed my pride to go there again after how I was treated on the 10th and chalked her behavior up to having a bad day. But to be treated with the same poor attitude again is not excusable. Henry- you run two AMAZING businesses and should be proud of how hard everyone works and their professional behavior. I am so disappointed that one bad apple has ruined the image of your establishments. I have spent lots of money in your salon, and unfortunately if an employee of yours is able to continue to treat others and myself poorly- I plan to take my hard earned money and the many people I influence with me to do business elsewhere. The wait was around 30 minutes. I was greeted right as I came in, was told to choose my color, and confirmed the services I wanted. I told a tech that I wanted a full acrylic manicure and I had a seat at a one of the tables and waited. She came back after 30 minutes like I previously mentioned, and proceeded to do a normal manicure. She applied a base coat and i began to get confused, because I know how acrylics are applied and this certainly wasn't the right way. She opens the colored polish I picked and I question her and say "Wait I am getting acrylics, right?". From then on, she became very standoffish and rude, acting as it was my fault, but she did confirm that I was getting acrylics with me. I had to slide over to a different tech to get the acrylics done and boy did they all start talking in a different language. I don't mean to sound racist or stereotyping, but right after my incident, all of the techs began laughing and speaking in what appeared to be their native language. I finally got my acrylics and they turned out pretty good, but I'm almost positive that the tech who did them tried to scam me out of another $6 to file them to a certain shape. Reason being is when she asked what shape I wanted and I told her almond, she stuttered and hesitated a little bit in telling me that it was an extra $6 dollars. I could be wrong, but thats what I picked up from it. I most likely will not return to this salon mainly because it is 5 hours away from where I live and I stopped in while on a trip visiting family. read more
