For tourists, there are so many hidden gems in this city to visit. If you're interested in less crowded sites in the rural/suburban with a more welcoming feel, this city is a great option.
Things here that I wished I could've experienced:
- the several Michelin star restaurants here
- delicatessens that offer specialty meats like prosciutto
- parmigiana cheese production factory
- visit balsamic vinegar makers, they are known all through Italy and internationally!
Things I did experience and enjoyed:
- local restaurants at affordable prices
- Modena-based balsamic vinegar
- Enzo Ferrari Museum
- downtown Modena high end/Luxury shopping
- indoor central market place (Mercato Storico Albinelli)
- beautiful churches and architecture
This Italian city offered more than what I could see in 2 days, but I intend on coming back to do more foodie activities. Loved my time here! read more
