I noticed the bid was based on 3 areas not the 4 we surveyed. ( two other contractors concurred on dry rot areas). I asked for a new bid plus cost of possibly replacing some gutters. The bid came back with another $5000 on top of original bid. Btw. The gutter replacement was not the expense. I asked for photos of the area left out of original bid and it was a corner that did not have dry rot. But I was told if it's a corner it costs more then twice of other areas. First one of the dry rot areas in original quote was a corner. This time they thought they could double the price. Funny thing. The company rep took a photo of an area that's not even dry rot Sort of bait and switch. Not ethical. I did not use them because based on this experience their work may have been shoddy. Stay away

When my husband said he wanted to do some of the minor work himself, not only were they fine with that, they recommended products to use and a place to purchase the wood. We received a quote later that same day, it was reasonable, based on time and materials. They were able to do the work two days later and estimated that it would take four hours. Joe and Jacob showed up at 7 a.m., as scheduled, and got right to work. The estimate was right on the nose. Peter Geer called the next day to see how the job went and to offer more advice on how my husband should handle the remaining minor work. Outstanding customer service and excellent workmanship. And the full internal framing replacement of 3 windows, insulation and drywall. Project crew was great, and professional. Being here was several weeks, I worked from hime to let them have access to the backyard and inside the house for their needed repairs. They all worked without issue and concern, and provided necessary updates when available. Communication with the city for permits was at issue at first, and an initial inspection was missed. As myself and the team weren't aware it was taking place at that specific time. 2nd inspection, the inspector was several hrs late and made the contractors wait all day, and no work could get done that day. Inspections after were good. Only issues I noted were a number of nails left out in my yard, all in the same area vicinity. Where my dog also goes out to walk, so that was a little concern. But there was nothing else that occured, and clean up for was good before and after. Total work - $18k+
