The owner showed up on time for the estimate, was persistent in following up with multiple phone…read morecalls and text messages anxious to book the job. Once we on moving forward, they showed up on time the day the work was scheduled. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time and, initially, looked good. In good faith, payment was made in full although there there was unfinished work. After drying and further inspection, it was noticeable that certain areas were not properly pitched, confirmed by the pooling of water alongside the house once it rained; within days there were a couple of noticeable cracks; also, what was supposed to have been a trimmed edge around the walkway, had been started and then noticeably blended into the slab -- a poorly finished product. I called to let them know about the pitch and the cracks. They came out within a week or two and addressed these issues by applying an overlay/self-leveler to the improperly pitched areas and seemed to use the same material to repair the cracks. What was left behind was a patch-job-mess and the cracks re-surfaced within a couple of days. I followed up with numerous calls and text messages and was told they would return to re-pour the improperly pitched areas, fix the cracks and complete the balance of the work that was agreed upon. Finally, after 5 months of following up and getting the run-around, the owner showed up and claimed it was too cold and the work could not be done, never to be heard from again. I ended up having to spend an additional $700 and have a real professional come (in much colder weather) to finish up the job.
