DJ Joey contacted us by phone in advance to review our outline and obtain context on the general demographics of our guests. He arrived early and after meeting in person again reviewed the timetable for the evening. He flawlessly executed our outline and actually improved it. Despite this preparation, we were informed just one day before the celebration that the originally contracted DJ would not be attending due to a scheduling conflict involving a high-profile client. Instead, a replacement DJ was sent. Unfortunately, the substitute did not meet the expectations outlined in our agreement. He failed to deliver the planned announcements at key moments and did not engage the crowd or create the lively atmosphere we had envisioned. He only spoke when prompted directly, even though he had been given the same detailed instructions as the original DJ. We are deeply disappointed in SkaiLive Events for not honoring their commitment and for expecting full payment despite the lack of follow-through. This event was a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, and the DJ's performance fell short of what was promised and paid for.

We have the honor of being able to call Kimo and Savannah our close personal friends, but this is not a biased review. Knowing them, they treat all of their clients like close friends. From the beginning of the process, Savannah was in contact with me and providing guidance every step of the way. A month before our wedding we exchanged multiple emails (she was always quick to reply) where she provided questionaries to gather more info from me. They questions on the questionnaires actually provided insight on aspects of the wedding I hadn't even thought about. It was a huge help in the planning process. They flew out to AZ the week before the wedding and schedule time to sit down and go over the wedding in detail. I was thoroughly impressed by their professionalism. I was pretty stressed since we were a week out and they completely put my mind at ease. At one point Kimo looked at me and said, "We got you, you just enjoy your day and let us do our thing." I put my trust in them, and they delivered. Kimo guided the guests from ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception and every step in between. I never once felt like my guests didn't know what was going on. He worked with me and stuck to the playlist I developed for the wedding. And of course he brought his Island Brother charm! Making everyone smile and dance. Savannah was heaven sent. She worked closely with my day-of wedding coordinator and vendors to make sure everything was running smoothly. She went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have a care in the world. To say our wedding day was magical is an understatement. Not a SINGLE THING went wrong. I credit that largely to the professionalism and care Kimo and Savannah put into our day. I feel blessed that they were there to not only witness but to be such a huge part of it. First! Anyhoo,…read moreCalvin was beyond belief. I booked on Peerspace (my first time learning about it), and out of my top three choices to film my client's pilot for YouTube, Vybe Studio was the clear choice. I had seen it a few times driving past--it's within a strip mall and business park on 1960 towards Willowbrook. But now I've gotten the opportunity to film there, and it's got all the bells and whistles: commercial ceilings, blackout curtains, a hedge wall, furniture with real plants, as well as photo lighting and monitors. There are a few other amenities as well, and while Vybe Studio isn't soundproof, it's back away from 1960 that the occasional motorbike isn't a huge audio issue. Calvin was very welcoming and accommodating; we moved all the furniture out the way to clear the blackout curtains for my background, and moved them back. At $55/hr, the price was right--generous, even--for everything that's there, so Calvin and Vybe Studio would be my preference when I need a place to film.
