The owner, Bob, is a terrible businessman and a liar! I wish I had read the reviews before signing a contract with him. When I first met Bob, he aggressively promoted his highest-priced bundle. Before signing, I asked if we could store the extra food in another area, and he verbally agreed. This was a party for over 200 guests, so I was convinced and signed the contract. A week before the event, I wanted to go over the final details and confirmed the hours for the party (14 hours, though it turned out to be only 10, which he didn't mention until after I paid). We specified the hours as 10 AM to midnight. We also inquired about the color of the chairs and requested gold accent chairs. Bob agreed and even said we could see the setup before the event. On the Friday before the event, we arrived at the time he told us, but things weren't ready. To make matters worse, he mentioned that he had a Zumba class coming in. I reminded him about our food storage area, but he claimed I hadn't paid for storage there, and suddenly it would cost an additional $300 to store food in that area. After some argument, he reduced the fee to $100 for storing the food in his kitchen. Before leaving the hall, I informed him that vendors would be bringing supplies at 10 AM the following day, but he never mentioned that our time in the hall the day before would count against our hours of use. On the day of the event, my vendors arrived at 10 AM to set up the 360 machine, but nobody was there to open the hall. After about an hour of not receiving a response to my calls and texts, Bob finally replied and said the hall wouldn't open until 3 PM because four hours were automatically deducted from our party hours for setup and teardown. We arrived at 3 PM and started setting up. Everything looked good, except we had silver chairs instead of the gold ones we requested. Bob claimed that no gold chairs were available and that we were always going to use the silver ones, which he was planning to discard due to their poor condition. According to the contract, we were supposed to have four of his personnel--two staff workers and two security guards--who were to start working at 5 PM. All but one of the security guards arrived on time; the final guard showed up at 8:27 PM. We began the festivities around 8 PM, but the AC was turned up, and our guests began to sweat since the party officially started at 6 PM. Despite the issues, we made the best of the situation. After the event, I contacted Bob about my deposit and inquired when I would receive it. He did not respond on Sunday or Monday. On Tuesday, he replied that it would come soon after Friday. A week later, I texted again about my deposit and he told me to come in the next day because two tablecloths were damaged. One tablecloth had black duct tape on it, and we didn't use any tape at all--only his workers handled the linens. The other tablecloth had some food spilled on it, but isn't that what happens to tablecloths? Despite this, he charged me $80 for "damages done to the tablecloths." Liar, greedy owner! He will sweet talk you to sign the contract and then doesn't give you whatever he writes in his agreement. A few years ago attended my cousin's Jaggo party where moved some of the liquor bottles. Latest, I was a guest a party a week ago where the owner rudely interrupted the party and shut the DJ during event after arguing with guest over closing the main entrance causing uncomfortable circumstance for the host. I witnessed the owner's misbehavior and the family was heart broken over spending so much money and energy to make that party happen. This terrible person ruining everything in a few minutes. Everyone was panicking and leaving only 2 small exits for so many people to exit. The restrooms have no lights and only 2 stalls which no handicap stall access and no diaper change area. Been to multiple parties at this venue and every time it's a disappoint and some chaos that owner creates. One of party he shut the AC in middle of the party in the summer time. This building is a warehouse from outside and inside only look better after decorated. All good reviews are scam that he paid or friends that praising for publicity. Look at the review pattern if bad review he doesn't recognize the person or calls them lair. Owner is fraud, do not recommend this venue! read more

This venue is nice but has a lot of flaws. Dancefloor had tape all over but parts were still sticking out. Not worth it but due to how unprofessional, rude, and unorganized the owner Bob is. He cut us an hour short at the end of the night from what our contract stated. We had it for 12 hrs. The day of he said doors would open at 2:30pm.  We found out at the end the owner himself let in a vendor an hour early. He claimed someone sent them but no one had authority to approve them to go in except for my husband and I since we are the ones that made the agreement with Bob and we are the only ones that signed the agreement. Yet he made the decision without asking if we were accepting it and last min we were in a rush to pack up since they kicked us out due to HIS choice. He contacted us 3 days after our event stating food got clogged up in the kitchen sink due to our caterers that dumped food in there and he needed to hire a plumber. However my caterers kept bringing me in the day of to show me everything. Unfinished food from guests went straight to the trash and leftover food was packed in aluminum trays plus a bag over it and was taken home by us. We asked him for proof and he stated his cameras rewrite after 24 hours. (What major business owner has low end cameras that rewrite so quickly and why would he tell us after the fact they were rewritten..) then suddenly he said he was able to recuperate the footage but still kept making excuses to not show it. He also stated steel wool got stuck in his drainage but I saw everything my caterers took and they didn't even take steel wool and she even brought her dishes dirty to wash at her own house. While I tried to talk to him he kept talking over me and didn't care to listen to what I had to say nor answered my questions and just kept saying it was our fault and "we didn't want to pay damages". I don't mind paying damages just as long as they're true. He charged us for 2 table cloths at $100 which I didn't tell him anything about that. I just wanted to see about the kitchen drainage he claimed was from us yet he kept coming out with excuse and then said he doesn't have to show us anything. (I'm sure now because he didn't even have it). Still charged us $200 for the plumbing. I have video proof of him not even letting me talk and admitting he's the one that let the vendor an hour early without even calling anyone. He claims he has "video proof" of the caterers dumping food (even though we took it home) and keeps coming up with excuses to not show it. Seems like he's all talk and definitely not a man of his word. SAVE YOUR TIME AND STRESS, IT IS NOT WORTH IT !!! GO ELSEWHERE !!! I'd rather pay a ton more money elsewhere but at least to someone that is honest and doesn't give their customers headaches and answers their questions. Moga Palace is also known as Fandango Hall. Please read all reviews before booking!! We booked this hall and made monthly payments without issue. We had a signed contract and Bob (the owner) was helpful. We even had our balance paid off two months prior. But when the day of the event arrived, Bobs true colors showed. We held our event at the Moga Palace on January 18, 2020. Bob is very unprofessional and arrogant. He made up rules on the day of the event. Locked ALL the doors until the event start time despite writing in our agreement that doors would open 30mins prior. He spoke to several of my event planners in a rude manner and was not available on the day of any issues that arose. He had a portable heater at the door of the kitchen facing into the hall and stated it was "illegal to turn on the heater for the hall" so he was using that one. This heater could probably only heat up a very small room. On the day of the event, the men's and women's restrooms became clogged resulting in water coming out of toilets and spilling onto the floors. The waiters/bartenders that are written in the contract are also the ones who will handle any issue so he told one of the waitresses to stand by the door with a mop in order to resolve this issue. The men's restroom had no paper towels initially and I was told by the waitress that Bob doesn't allow paper towels in the men's restrooms. Lastly, the security guards on the contract did not show up until 2hrs after promised and did not appear to be official. They left after they realized we had hired our own! It is an unsafe location so you will need official security guards! I was warned that the owner will allow a hot dog stand be setup by an unknown vendor right outside the door so we made sure that didn't happen at our event and hired our own security! The hall is beautiful but I would have rather paid double to get excellent service on the day of the event. Proceed with caution! read more

Save yourself the time and stress. My fiance and I went through all the trouble of calling Fandango City while booking our church date to make sure we booked the right date that would be available for both spaces. We drove from the church to Fandango City to make sure no one else had already booked our date. We made our $300 deposit and lived in bliss. A month later, when my fiance and I were ready to make the first payment, we called Fandango City only to find out that another couple had booked that date a whole month before us! They were double-booked! Fandango City knew that our date had already been booked for a month, and they made no effort to contact us to tell us about their mistake. Apparently, the booking system they use is Microsoft Word and paper files. I am so disgusted with their service. I've heard from a friend that a similar situation had happened to them in 2015. Their date had been double-booked, and one couple was forced to change their date. The owner, Bob, made it seem like it was no big deal. As if, we can just come in and change the date like no issue. He doesn't understand that my fiance and I already spent money on sending out Save the Dates, and we have family that was already making arrangements to have time off of work and booking flights. We have people coming from the Philippines, Texas, and Wisconsin. In addition, Bob tried to pin the mistake on his Event Coordinator for not saving the date of the other couple in all of the four file copies. Fortunately, he refunded us our deposit. But, my fiance and I are now without a hall. We have to go through the trouble of looking for another venue all over again. read more

Bob Manik seriously needs to rethink his position at this establishment. He is not qualified to handle business affairs, important events and definitely not money. He is f'ing up his reputation on a serious level. My family had been planning my Grandmother's 70th birthday party for some time now and decided to hold the surprise function at this location. My Aunt made the down payment needed to reserve and book the space. Come to find out (as other Yelpers stated prior) this guy Bob had another party booked the same day that would overlap with ours... 1) As an event Coordinator how do you not know that you're overlapping 2 events?? (Sounds careless and unreliable) 2) Again as an event Coordinator you'd have to be mad dumb to wait a week and 1/2 before the events to realize you've f'd up. Now my family is in a frenzy searching for a new location to accommodate the amount of attendees. Funny move he "tried" to pull was giving my Aunt the deposit back in a check rather than the way she initially paid. Needless to say she roasted his a** and received the funds back in it's original method. Avoid doing business with this fool by all means. read more

He changed the contract on us the day of and had our decoration lady come all the way back from LA to pick up her things that same night when he had said she can pick up a different day. I would give this place a zero if Yelp would let me. Bob promised 4 servers hat we paid for and 2 bartenders. I got one bartender and 2 servers for my event, one of those servers disappeared for most of the night. My husband and I ended up serving our guest! The kitchen we had a the catering company drop off the food at was full of roaches! He would only leave enough chairs and plates for the guest with none to spare accord to his contract, but his staff miss counted and we were left short of over 20 settings. I called him and kept telling me I was wrong, so I counted ounce more. He finally arrived upset and gave me the additional settings and chairs missing. He was so bothered doing it too. This place deserves such a low rating because of Bob...I think he's the owner but after my dad argued with him and told Bob that he was a lawyer, he said he was he manager. This guy swindled me out of $300 and was not agreeing to what was laid out clearly, in all capital letters, in his contract. It was such shady business and obviously I am not the only one who has had issues with him. I'm a local videographer/photographer and after speaking with 3 clients about their experience before and after their event, I can tell you that they were totally unhappy with management/ownership because of 'things' that they promised to have in the hall and at the last minute the owner claims they never spoke about it. Be careful and like another reviewer said, make sure everything is in writing!!! From having a projection screen to having table cloths, make sure it's in writing. read more

Im only rating this 1 star because the hall isn't to blame for its poor management. The owner isn't clear on exactly what you're going to end up with. If you really want to book this hall, my advice would be to be completely clear in what you want and have him be clear on what hes going to charge for the hall, decor etc. And keep your receipts and it's also good to have a 2nd person with you to kind of be a sounding board. If I could give this place zero ratings, or better yet, negative ratings, I would. This is an absolutely horrible place run by an even worse owner. He was extremely rude and condescending. He would continue to increase the price at each meeting. The event was held in December. The hall was so cold, that people were shivering. When we asked him to turn on the heat, he said it was not included in the contract. He also messaged rude and unnecessary comments. When we reviewed the contract, there was no section that referred to heating or a/c. On the day of the event, the bathrooms were filthy and there was no toilet paper or paper towels. This was so embarrassing. Is it not common sense to at least clean the hall before an event?! When we returned for the return of the deposit, he only returned half. He stated that our caterer used his kitchen, and it apparently costs $200 to clean a kitchen. The caterer did not even use the kitchen to cook. He merely used it as an area to set up his food and supplies. This man is absolutely terrible to work with. I highly advise to not set your next event at this hall. Don't go there read carefully! This hall destroyed my wedding. The owner is a thief Here what happened exactly to me My wedding was 2 months from now. We went right there and talked to the owner about exactly what we want...I asker him to do silver wears on the tables and he charged me $450 for that, and I told him we need a room to rest with bridesmaids until all my guest arrives. Instead, when I got there the hall was empty , no silver wears. He locked the room and didn't let us even use the dishes to serve the food. And locked the other half of the hall that way he made me and my groom and the bridesmaids wait the guests in the street, and he locked his phone to not reach him. He is just such a big lier..indeed, he told us no smoke allowed in the hall and if he saw anyone smoking he will give us a note and if someone else did it again he will shot down the electricity. In the middle of the party the electricity stopped. The workers said we saw someone smoking. But they didn't give us a note they just shot it down, and made us pay $600 to turned on again. don't believe him! I talked to my attorney and soon he will receive a massage from the court to give me my money back and I kept a pictures about the receipts and how we received the hall. read more

You can't add every single detail to the contract, like for example, I asked for a specific back drop for my stage, he said he would do it. On the contract he put down " back drop". On the day of the event, He did not do the back drop I requested!! How disappointing--when he was confronted, he said what you want costs more money, if you want we can add it for you but you must pay more! WOW! He made it so stressful, not a honest guy!!
