He found evidence of rot and evidence of the previous owner covering it up with new wood. He recommended us to hire a real estate attorney and sue the seller since they should have disclosed the history of rot. We got a quote from a contractor for $50k for the repairs. Dave was very responsive by e-mail. He did not offer a free consultation and charges $575/h which is very high, but we thought the price might reflect the quality of work. However, his counsel was subpar. He reviewed our documents and pointed items noted by the inspector that were found in other areas of the house, unrelated to the area in question. When we were evidently very confused, he never offered a call to discuss the details. He kept insisting that we didn't really have a case, so we also didn't want to consume more of his time and burn our money. The demand letter that was drafted was not convincing at all, since Dave never took the time to understand the details. The seller was not convinced and hired their own attorney, at which point Dave advised us not to pursue them in court. That was the only time we talked on the phone. The subpar letter costed us $1,970. I feel like any attorney could have drafted a letter of this quality, even those who charge $300/h. Do not make the same mistake as me in assuming that higher rates equal higher quality of work.

First, when we got the draft back for our wills, the legal names were not matching across documents. Seems like a basic check for the paralegals. To Harkiran's credit, she asked for our feedback and we gave her that. It's nice when they do ask for feedback. Fast forward to the e-signing day. We had to have our documents amended and rescheduled and again, very grateful that they could accommodate for that. But we never received the final documents until I had to email them. I ended up receiving these documents from the notary (since they didn't respond until half hour before the actual signing). Again, probably not Harkiran's fault, but this is another indication that her team is not functioning well. I'd give the law firm 1 star because it's hard to trust a law firm that can't get the simple things right. The 2nd star is purely because Harkiran is a very nice person.

Hired this firm to restore my gun rights in reference to a police report that I had been arrested…read morein 1988 for domestic violence (verbal argument in WA). No court docs could be found but I needed it done to get a CCW. I am out of the state so I could not do this myself. Their billing was high and I expressed concern. $105 for the attorney to email me a status. Needless to say, I was glad they did not email often. I was told this case would cost 2 to 3 thousand dollars, maybe more. The attorney had to go to court twice because he worded the restoration of right in a way the judge did not like. They billed me over $1,500 for court appearances. The case cost me over $5,000 for a simple arrest needing to be vacated to restore my rights. The DA did not challenge it, thank heaven because this firm would have charged more. FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP YOU! Update, I gave him a copy of what my Sheriff department wanted done to restore my firearm rights. What he did was not accepted by the Sheriff's office therefore it was a waste of money. I admit that he said his plan usually works but, in my case I could have got this done correctly by another firm for $7,500.
