The whites were pleasant on a warm day but didn't seem to have much of the traditional characteristics of a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. Call me a Cab has a great name but I couldn't finish the sample. Wife ordered a glass of Pink Bubbles that was the best of the wines tasted. We did buy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Usually I buy a bottle or two from each vineyard we visit both to support their efforts and to take a second taste while not overlooking vines. Food wise we kept it simple and shared a Canadian Flatbread with mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Hit the spot. Ridge Road Winery is well worth a visit if in the area. There is no admission fee to admire the lavender fields here at Bonnieheath, located just outside of Port Dover. Unfortunately, I missed their bloom as it apparently ended in July. :( In addition to lavender, Bonnieheath is also a winery/cidery, so you can enjoy glasses of wine/cider on their relaxing property. 1oz samples of wine was $3ea, although it really should be 2oz, ha ha. They also sell bottles to enjoy at home! The younger man who helped me was super pleasant, talking about things to do in the area, how the climate on the property is similar to Provence, etc. Overall, if you're in the area, it was a pleasant stop...especially when the flowers are in bloom! At the time of my visit, there was a wedding party there, a family having a picnic with some wine, so it's quite picturesque and relaxing.

Just came across the letter and called them to ask them to honour it. Nope - straight out nope! I told him we never heard from him after leaving our message. He told us we should have called back. Well, when I leave a message for a business, I would assume if they are interested in having future business, that they would make an effort to call people back.
