I'm done with Oskar Blues and the surprises each time I go…read more I tried to have a birthday party on a Monday lunch time for 6 adults and 4 kids. I called ahead and Sarah said I could reserve space inside or outside seating for my party but when we got there, the host put us outside and THEN told us they didn't have service outside and we'd have to order at the bar. WTF!? So, we moved inside and were the only ones in the place for about 30 minutes. The food was good but I'm done with everything being an add-on item - example: cheese on the burger is $1.50. Really? House salad was $2.00 additional replacing onion rings on the pulled pork sandwich? Soft drinks were reasonable at $3.00 each. We ordered a kids fish plate ($8.00) and wanted to order one additional fish filet and were charged for a second kids plate (again $8.00). KIds' Mac & Cheese was pretty good. The cost-of-living adder on the check that most restaurants have dropped is now LUMPED together with tax on the bill so as to hide the additional amount. On my bill of $146.00 - they added $17.36 for tax and adjustment. Working backwards, I guess that is an additional $5.00 or 3%. Not too much but it's misleading to price a menu this way. One only saving grace was I could pay with a charge card and they didn't add a fee on top of all that. I guess future customers will see if that changes because I'm done.

I have always shopped at Wyatt's, since the day they opened back in 2015. My partner and I have…read morealways found their selection exceptional and we'd been quite happy with their service. Unfortunately, that all ended today. I was in the store this morning with my son and we were buying one thing, Pina Colada mix. Non-alcoholic of course. My son touched the bottle, so they said they couldn't sell it to us because he was underage. Okay, silly policy, but no big deal. I returned later in the day, and was informed that I was banned from ever purchasing anything in their store again, and that if I did not leave immediately, they would call the police and have me arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The woman "acting" as a manager was extremely rude, and even called me a "Karen" for asking questions because I said that made no sense given I made no attempt to purchase anything alcoholic at any point that day, or with my son in my presence. Of course, I ended up leaving because who needs the hassle, there are far too many other places to purchase alcohol or mixers in town, but I am very sad that my Wyatt's is not what it once was. Regardless of anything else, you just don't speak to or treat people that way, it's unacceptable.

Very bad experience here. Check out person was openly rude and uncaring. How hard is it to say…read morehello and thank you? They have some crazy policy where they ID everyone in the party which isn't universally enforced as a customer in the next aisle made a purchase with two obviously underage kids. Reading other reviews it seems check out people are frequently rude and hostile.

My family and I ate dinner at The Roost while visiting the area for a few days. Since we were…read moretraveling from out of state we made a reservation ahead of time - although on a Wednesday evening at 5pm, it wasn't super critical, as the restaurant never got completely full. There are multiple seating options - inside, patio, or rooftop. We opted for the rooftop and the vibes were excellent. The weather was gorgeous and the rooftop patio is nicely decorated with live plants and a big bar running the length of the patio. Our server was excellent. I think his name was Danny. One of our party has an alcohol intolerance, so needs to avoid foods cooked with alcohol. Danny was super helpful in guiding our menu options with this information. He confirmed multiple dishes with the chef before we ordered. For food, we started with the Truffle Parm Fries, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and the Bangin' Cauliflower. All were delicious. The cauliflower was extremely good, I can see why so many reviews mention it. For entrees, our group ordered the Short Rib Tacos, Jumbo Crab Cakes, Chilean Salmon, and the Avocado Salad with Seared Ahi. No complaints around the table. The meat in the Short Rib tacos is super tasty. Portions were good sized, however the Crab Cake dish is definitely smaller than the others. Good option if you aren't super hungry. The Chilean Salmon was cooked perfectly. We didn't really have any complaints at all. Solid dining experience. Would definitely return if I'm ever back in the Longmont area.

The main improvement The Roost could make would be letting the GM, J. Suniga return to Burger King,…read moreor whatever fast food franchise from which they hired him. The next improvement would be training employees that when a customer makes a request to pay the bill, the answer is "Yes, I will take care of that." Instead I received, a snippy "Notify your server." My response, "No, I'm the customer, you're employed here. I just agreed to pay a ridiculous sum for a cocktail and an appetizer, so YOU find whoever needs to receive my payment!" Her feelings were hurt, so she played the "You-don't-need-to-speak-to-me-that-way" card. Eventually she recovered from the trauma and found an Official Roost Bartender to give me the bill. Mr. Suniga explained that he did not pay her to receive payments. As a solution, her "manager" advised I avoid The Roost in the future. Apparently, customers who want to pay are not welcome? Good advice for me and any other prospective customers!
