Parking is outside and sometimes you have to park 5-8 mins away from the falls . Not much of restrooms around . Lots of dogs in the water :) It was an amazing tint though ! Loved it . 5 stars !

Driving there was beautiful and I live in NH but still think NH is gorgeous! The parking is plentiful and has shade. It was a very hot day so we were very happy for the shade. The young adult at the entrance to the driveway is friendly and helpful! We entered the gorgeous old barn and were immediately WOW'D by the ambiance! Such a gorgeous place! They have a bar set up where you can purchase inviting mock-tails such a lavender lemonade with non alcoholic gin!!! There are other non lavender themed mock-tails as well. The presentation is gorgeous and it was a good size cup, probably at least 15oz, not filled to the brim with ice but enough ice to keep my drink refreshingly cold! Loads of wonderful lavender themed goods for sale! All very attractively staged. This is a beautiful venue. Once you talk to the young adult in charge of pick your own lavender and pay, you are given a basket, shears, rubber band, and instructions on how to cut and where on the plant you should cut. Despite the ungodly heat it was a lovely afternoon with our mom, my sister, and my daughter. The farm is dog friendly as long as they are on a leash. There are a TON of awesome photo ops! An old pick up truck, gazebo with Adirondack chairs in the midst of the field, Adirondack chairs placed in the midst of rows of lavender, the barn, and an adorable vintage camper which doubles as a snack shack with various bites for sale! There are benches and Adirondack chairs scattered all over the property making the entire place very inviting. Chickens were quietly clucking to themselves as they roamed the yards pecking for bugs and worms. They were taking advantage of deep shade and cool earthen hollows they made to keep cool. So picturesque! I highly recommend Pumpkin Blossom Farm. A very generous bunch of lavender is $18, and it is VERY generous!!

I believe they make all the chocolate cover candies, cheeses, and ice creams on premise. They have a farm in back of the shop! Freshness!!! Must try: best rainbow cookies, even better than a lot of other baked good I had in NYC. Chocolate cover candies are usually around $10 a lb. They also have maple sugar candy and cookies.

If you ever find yourself driving along Route 8A in Charlemont, you are in for a great surprise…read more You get to drive over a covered bridge. Without a detour. The Bissell Covered Bridge is right on 8A just north of Route 2. It is a 2 lane bridge. But sadly no pedestrian walkway. Heading north on 8A, there is a turnoff to the Charlemont fairgrounds right before the bridge. There is no where to park there, but there is a viewing platform. Just on the other side of the bridge there is room for 3-4 cars to pull over. M There are windows on this bridge, but the walls are so thick there is no way to see anything through the windows on the interior of the bridge.

The Mohawk Trail is one of those places where you find yourself and you say "wow I'm someplace…read morespecial." It's so much prettier to drive to the Berkshires on Route 2 as opposed to the Pike. And then you realize you aren't just driving in Rt 2. Your driving the Mohawk Trail. Highlights are many. Views of the Deerfield River, rolling farmland, the paper mills in Irving, trading posts complete with wigwams, the town of Florida and the Shunpike Historic sign. Just to name a few. Driving this road should be on every body's bucket. Just leave the kids at home- you don't want the serenity interrupted by a chorus of AreWeThereYet.

Named after a large town not far from my birthplace, Oxford England. It's weird to me that I've now been to this one much more than the other one, although I've played concerts in the other one and never in this one. It's a lovely town, in the more conservative part of Mass but that's only by Mass standards. Northampton has 30k people including an old college friend and his new wife. They love it there. He teaches at nearby U Mass Amherst. For this reason I'm sure I'll be visiting more regularly.

I love all the stores and love coming back every few weeks/months to lament or rejoice in the changes that have taken place over the years. When my son had to report to grand jury duty (he goes to school out here now too), he wondered what I would do with my time - what wouldn't I do with my time. This is like my second home and I love driving out here to hang out (not as often anymore since my uncle retired).
