The full service bar with seating and open kitchen area is on the left side section and the front window music stage and table seating is on the right side section. The bar offers 8 beers on draft, bottle/can beers, and wine. The Sleazy Vegan is selling their food truck, last parked at Tideline Public House in Durham and has moved into this permanent brick and mortar location, The Sleazy Vegan at Pembroke City Limits. At the time of this posting, they were offering their abbreviated vegan & plant based food menu including mac & sleaze, nachos, spicy Thai peanut lettuce cups, burgers, sausage hoagie with caramelized onions, hot dog, buffalo chickn' mac & cheese, chickn' burger, and Korean BBQ chickn' burger, and desserts (double choc shake, lemon cream frosty, sleazy frozen no-rita). The prices are moderate here. I stopped by Pembroke City Limits after work try out some vegan eats. I took a seat up at the bar and looked over the abbreviated menu already on the counter. I got a glass of tap ice water (they also offer bottled water) and decided on the SVFT Burger ($14 plus tax) and a side of Sleazy Mac & Cheese ($8 plus tax). My food served in disposable paper products was served in 12 minutes after ordering. The SVFT Burger is their Sleazy Vegan Food Truck Burger which was comprised of a very soft plant burger patty topped lettuce, tomato, onion & sriracha ketchup on an enriched white hamburger roll. The Sleazy Mac & Cheese had soft cavatappi pasta in a semi tangy cheese sauce (oat milk). The food was quite good for being vegan. The check was shown on a portable digital Square payment device, which came out to $23,87 with tax and before tip. There was also a local band setting up for a 6 pm live show near the front window. The Sleazy Vegan at Pembroke City Limits fills the void in the Concord area for prepared vegan and plant based foods in a fixed location. When Col's Kitchen in Concord closed, my vegan boss was really bummed out and has to travel to Green Beautiful in Manchester on the weekends during the day for prepared vegan food. My boss will be so thrilled to stop into this new place close to the office for dinner, drinks, and live music. I will be stopping by again when their menu is expanded and I can catch some live music too.

The bread was double thick marble but could not even taste any rye, toasted so it made it very hard to bite. The meat was cut very thick and it was undercooked; so it was tough to chew. Maybe a 1/4Lb at the most. Had to look to find the swiss cheese. Sauce was good as was the amount and flavor of the sauerkraut. The pie was good. It looks llike a nice place, similar to other bars in the area, but this one has a small stage for entertainment. Will try once more as the burger was written about as much as the reuben. We had a phenomenal night of drinks, food, and legendary musicians at The Bull Run, Shirley, MA…read more(Apr 2026)! Their huge 275-seat event space was packed at tables for 4 to 8, for the two 1-hour sets of Live Dead & Brothers Band, an Allman Brothers - Grateful Dead group of legacy musicians from those bands and families!!! An authentic rockin' performance! They opened hot, with Feelin' Alright and Truckin', and ended hot with Midnight Rider, Ramblin' Man, and Jessica, with around 14 more between. The acoustics were excellent at our table, and we also took up our share of the crowded dance area :-) Their tour continues at least through Dec 2026. Our tickets were about $50 each. Service was fast and friendly, and they let us pull up one more chair for our group of nine. You can get crafted beers and cocktails. We settled in with ice cold regional beers, which honestly are just as distinctive as fancy craft beers. We got some food to share off their "concert menu", too. An entrée-size dish of rich creamy homemade Mac & Cheese, made with tasty aged Grafton Cheddar, soft slightly-al-dente curly Cavatappi pasta tubes, not-overcooked green beans, as i recall, crisply crusted with lightly-maple breadcrumbs. Very flavorful and satisfying. A sweet fresh bright Autumn Salad of greens, pecans, and bright beets, in tart vinaigrette. And juicy "Bull Run Classic" burgers with crisp lettuce, tasty firm tomato, mildly-sharp red onion, and, for one of them, an add-on of rich cheddar, all on a cloud-like brioche bun. They do ask for $20 per person food/beverage minimum for all shows, essentially an entree or a couple beverages each. That's about what we had planned to order anyway :-) This place knocked us out with their dedication to farm-to-table ingredients, sourced from more than 25 regional farms named on the dinner menu. We've never seem such an extensive list of the actual sources. Very cool! The Bull Run has been a tavern since 1741, named after the Battle of Bull Run in 1861, (or in another version, named for a brawl in the tavern at the same time :-), and has been run by the Guercios extended-family since 1946. It was a stop on the stagecoach route and a gathering place for the Revolutionary war. We loved the original wood, structure, and décor. The fireplaces were lovely. It's a huge venue. Bull Run has live music every week, and they're open Wed-Sun, but watch their schedule because dates vary, sometimes one day that week, sometimes all four! This show was in their 275-seat room. There's at least one larger room for around 400. Theres a little parking along Rt 2A, and much more out back across the covered bridge. Dont be put off by the rustic exterior. We loved this legendary performance at a legendary restaurant!

Back in 2016 my husband of 21 years left me.I lost everything including my home.For the first time…read morein my life i had no where to go,no where to live.I was actually looking at tents figuring the woods would be my safest bet.My son was frantically looking for places for me to go,we had just about given up when he saw an ad for a couch to sleep on in return for helping to clean the hall.I went to meet David and was scared to death he would say no due to my age,58 at the time,but he didn't. He heard my story told me i had a job,a home and not to be afraid. He did not know me.He didn't know what kind of person i was but he took me in anyway.For the next 6 and a half weeks as i waited for my son to purchase his first home i stayed at Daniels Hall. I slept on the couch next to the bar with my clothes is boxes and my computer i was safe. Joanne made me feel at home from the beginning and made me laugh again,she is a wonderful lady.I am writing this to let everyone know that there are still great people in this world who care.David and Joanne are two of them.I also have to apologize for how long it took to post this.The tower to my computer was damaged in our final move and it has taken me this long to afford another one.In closing i would like to thank David and Joanne for taking in a total stranger and giving her a place to lay her head and hope for the future.
