Add to that the lady who was the server was very personable and pleasant all the way (very easy to talk to). A few minutes later the owner and his wife came and joined in and I had a very pleasant and personable conversation with all three of them; I felt like I was "welcomed at the home of a family" to the point that almost 2 hours passed by just like a breeze. 3) Add to all of the above, the price was VERY reasonable considering the large food portion. Guess that falls under rudeness, then before he left, knocked two drinks at the rude waitress. I don't blame him. Had a laugh, and I will not testify on the restaurant's behalf.

Was over charged for 3 toppings after paying; employee argued with me but did give me the change back after it was explained to him. Although this is a white tablecloth atmosphere, most people arrived after a day of walking around Niagara Falls: More men were in shorts than ties. The waitresses are uniformed, and work as a team. This makes for a steady flow of service: Orders are taken and come out of the kitchen in a steady flow, and at every course we were of checked on. It was almost as impressive as the food. A quick word about the menu: I noticed from previous postings on Yelp that it hasn't changed at all in eight years. There are no daily specials, and the lobster is sourced from Cuba. Practice has made perfect! Everything was excellent! My escargot were the best I've ever had; my husband's clam chowder had huge chunks of clams. I loved my sous vide salmon, and the char on the steak was spectacular. It was also tender, full of flavor, and cooked ordered temperature perfectly. The desserts were very satisfying: The pecan pie was like your grandma makes, and the chocolate amaretto torte was a rich, boozy wonder. A word about timing: Although there's a cheaper prix-fixe seating at 4pm and 5pm, I made our reservations for half an hour before sunset (online, a month earlier), as it takes an hour for the restaurant to complete a revolution. This way, we enjoyed the view with daylight, by sunset, and with the Falls illuminated by colored spotlights. Half an hour after we finished, the nightly fireworks began at 10pm. The dining room reservation includes a free trip to the observation deck, but we opted to watch from the peace of our hotel room a few minutes away. This was a memory of a lifetime meal: Strongly recommend!
