Moms Kitchen was such a fun stop. We were looking for something good to eat and I'm glad we came here. Their wagyu burger was one of the best burgers I've had, the bun was perfect! But that's not the best part, Terry was such a lovely server and we learned so much about Kansas too. The service is great, the food is great, and the diner and bathrooms were very clean! Overall, 10/10 recommend giving this place a try. If we are traveling through again, we'll definitely be stopping by! read more

We found this place by searching for diners as we were traveling. Small place with maybe 10 tables. It was very clean and the service was very friendly. The two of us each ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & green beans. It was all seasoned perfectly and we both wolfed it down for lunch. I would strongly recommend. read more

I would give this place 8 stars if I could. Full confession: when we arrived at the restaurant, we debated whether or not to even go in, as it is small, plain, and located in a dirt parking lot. However, one step inside changed everything. The interior is clean, bright, and welcoming. The service was efficient. The menu is huge for such a small place, and even has a full page of vegetarian/vegan options. Heck, even the bathrooms are clean and nice! Could not be happier with our experience, when you pull in it's a little plain but once you get inside it's clean and friendly. Ate breakfast and talked with the owner and some of the local folks. May be the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. Gotta go through heading home in a couple weeks and we will be sure to stop by and try the lunch menu! read more

When we asked about a local restaurant, Brenda and Harvey at the Kansas "Welcome" rest stop told us about Mom's Kitchen. I'm so glad that we learned about Mom's Kitchen even though we were on the interstate. We liked it right away because of the homey atmosphere. Terry came over right away to take our order and to tell us about the daily special. Roberta got up from chatting with a customer to make our lunch. They put so much dedication into their food and their customer service. We got there right at closing time, but Roberta told us to not to hurry. The food was too good to hurry through anyway! Terry was out mowing the lawn when we left, and he gave us a friendly wave goodbye. The town of Goodland is blessed to have them. read more

Went there based off the 5 star reviews. Place was small and crowded. Didn't seem very clean on there. Service was bet l very slow. I think guy that took our order was also the cook. I got the chicken fried chicken sandwich w onion rings (which were $5 extra) and coworker got chicken fried steak sandwich. Now with a name like Mom's kitchen and the 5 star reviews, I thought we were getting fresh homemade food. Both sandwiches were made with frozen out a box meat and my onion rings (also frozen product) were burned very badly. Onion inside was very small and burned, not to mention very greasy. Ate only half my sandwich and left a quarter of the $5 onion rings that were too burnt to eat. Disappointing to say the least. read more

On a trip and stumbled across Mom's Kitchen after nothing grab us right off the Interstate. Stopped because the parking lot was packed at 8:30 am on Friday morning. Place was filled with locals so we knew we found the right place to eat. It had a small town vibe which we like. The service was great- very attentive with refilling in our coffee and taking our order. The food was simple fare yet excellent favor. I ordered the oatmeal and it was probably the best oatmeal I've had. My partner ordered Mell's French toast, two eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage links. He says the French toast was the best he's ever had. As we were preparing to leave the owner stopped to chat with us. He shared some local attractions we should check out. AND...he gave us a complimentary order of freshly made pork rinds and chicharrones de rueda with hot sauce and gravy to dip them in. We'd never had them before yet both agreed crazy good! I was delighted to find a Christian restaurant on our trip. I was a little worried when we got parked because there were many cars and a small building, but I poked my head in and there was room for our family! Could only find crappy fast food on the interstate. A welcome surprise, "All American" aka chicken fried steak breakfast pretty good. It's a lot closer to exit 17, unless you want to see the "World's largest Easel" it's about 2 blocks easy. read more

What a great little spot for b'fast or lunch! It is small inside but at 8am we had a booth and got great service! And the price couldn't be beat! Eggs or omelet, toast, hashbrowns and delicious crispy bacon suited us to a tee. If you go for lunch they even have Yuengling on tap. All around - plan to eat here! read more

This is a great little hometown home cookin spot to eat. We were there for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are legit homemade. I'm very picky about biscuits. These were tender and fresh with gravy that tasted like I make at home. The chicken fried steak was so tender we cut it with a fork. The breakfast burrito was BIG and had great flavor!
