Every time I drive by this supermarket I'm always extra curious to know what it's like. Finally, after driving by it so many times or not having enough time in between the movie theater and closing time, we got to check it out. I didn't have to go grocery shopping and I definitely wasn't prepared for what was about to come (as they're officially my new favorite supermarket). A supermarket that doesn't carry plastic water bottles and proudly has a sign that they haven't been selling plastic still bottle since 2011 in efforts to be able to reduce plastic, is just something we need to see more of. Plus, everything's organic! The cool part is you can bring your huge jugs of water and refill them in the entrance with alkaline water. There were also a ton of produce boxes available for you to shop in and save bags. I totally missed this and came super unprepared without even my own bags. Loved the weighed grain section where you can pay less for certain ones by buying them in bulk. You can even bring your own refillable containers for dish soap, body soap, dishwasher soap, Castile soap, laundry detergent, face wash, body lotion and more. If you don't have your own containers you can buy their glass ones and refill those. They even have a recycle center as soon as you walk in. You can donate eye glasses, batteries, shoes, natural cork and even compost! Their purpose is simple: to protect and restore the environment. This is my language. I LOVE this supermarket, only thing I wish it wasn't 1 hour away. read more

5 stars for what? Unfriendly uninviting staff. Asked for help with the vinegar and was told you can place in your own containers? What container do I bring to a market? Then he walked away Same person at the register. No hello no how are you did you find everything etc.. I truly left with a small container of peanut brand a bag of popcorn. No thank you no have a nice day. Didn't see one staff member here that was helping customers. Not 1 staff member looks happy. They all look like they hate their life and their job. read more

Finally this store jumped from DC area and I am so happy. Anyone looking for really higher grade organic and natural food, this is the store for you. Also gluten and allergen free food. So happy to have Mom's Organic here in Westchester the store is big and has free covered parking right out front and the aisles are HUGE so you're definitely not going to be on top of people while you shop. They have a huge selection of specialty vegan options and so much bulk! There's no where anywhere around Westchester that offers bulk food like Mom's where you can bring your own containers and skip the plastic. They had everything from bulk nuts, grains, granola, flours, spices, teas and herbs/products to make personal care products with oh and cleaning product/laundry refill stations! The produce section is small but they have all the staples and everything looked super fresh. Definitely one of the best natural food stores in the area and the vitamin/natural care selection was also great. I'll definitely be including Mom's in the places I regularly grocery shop at. read more

I love, love this place, super clean, free parking, lots of products to select. They have a large selections of herbs and spices you can purchase by weight, great when you just need a small amount. Nice selection on vitamins supplements, oils, hair product you name they have it. If not, ask them and they can most likely get for you. After visiting the location in Philadelphia, I had to check out this one, and I'm glad I did! I was visiting Tarrytown for the day, and decided to stop by before returning home on Long Island. After a long and hilly 2 mile walk from the Metro-North Station, I arrived and bought a few unique items that I can't find near me, including a tub of mango-flavoured cotton candy, and my favourite Swoofle snacks. For medical reasons I cannot have gluten and corn, so that cotton candy was a wonderful surprise! Since it was late, and I needed to make my connecting train in Penn Station, I needed to take a cab back to the Dobbs Ferry Metro-North station. Leo, the customer service manger was a life saver! My phone was at less than 10% power, and I didn't know any cab companies in the area, so he kept calling all cab companies until one answered the phone, which took a while because of how late it was. My point is that he didn't give up! Kyle, and another manager helped me by waiting with me to make sure the taxi driver found their store (which is underneath a parking lot). Thanks to them I was able to catch the Metro-North, and made an earlier than expected LIRR train home in one piece! Other things; staff are awesome, store is very clean and organised, and (for those who travel long distances on foot) they offer clean bathrooms with a water fountain to refill yout water bottle. While the Philly location is larger, this location has a whole CBD product section. Dobbs Ferry is far from where I live, but the ride is worth it, and I cannot wait to return again! read more

What I love: - having a real alternative to Amazon/Whole Foods - NO instacart shoppers and armies of people competing with you to fill orders - quality of the produce, great bulk food bins - relaxing music and wide aisles - good beer selection - helpful friendly staff - feels much less corporate than Amazon/Whole Foods What I don't like: - no deli or fresh fish - no generic brands so generally it feels a bit $$ - some specialized products feel especially bourgeois - they are very focused on quality but it can also feel a bit small with limited selection If they can address the above issues then this will absolutely be a 5 star experience! read more

Decided to take a ride over here (about 15 minutes from my home) because they carried an item no one else does. I was pleasantly surprised. This place is awesome! Their prices are really reasonable and the staff are super friendly. I have a Whole Foods within walking distance of my home, but I will definitely make the ride to come to Mom's. It's definitely worth it. Definitely a smaller store, but has the bulk of what I need. Extremely wide aisles and everything is nicely laid out and the store is very clean. I walked into the store and thought I died and went to heaven. Just back from Florida and missing the amazing stores they have like Greenwise and Sprouts, I came across MOM's pretty much by accident. I saw the word ORGANIC driving by and I turned around and drove right in. OMG!! A place to bring my compost, a place to drop off the corks and batteries I've been holding on to for I don't know how long. Then I saw the produce. Then I saw the bulk section where you can actually fill your own jars and containers with stuff, instead of buying every single thing in a plastic container. Nuts, beans, rice, pasta, detergent, soaps, and on and on. Instead of plastic bags for produce they use compostable bags that you can bring back to have composted. Tons of sustainable kitchen items, supplements, beehive kits. I mean this store is the best! And then, on top of all this perfection, is the amazing staff. You will be taken care of here. You are appreciated here. If you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, zero waste (or trying), keto, etc. you will find what you're looking for. This place is amazing! It has excellent organic food, including an awesome produce section. Also, the produce tends to be very fresh and lasts for quite a while after I get it home. The customer service is outstanding! Everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. They hand you a cart as you walk in and I've never really had to wait in line to check out. The aisles are wide (not cramped like many grocery stores) and it's never very crowded. I also like how environmentally conscious they are. You can recycle items such as old glasses or shoes there and they use biodegradable plastic bags. They even let you charge electric vehicles in the parking lot! Finally, the prices are pretty reasonable. I highly recommend Mom's! read more

We have so few really good, easily accessible venues for grocery shopping in our Westchester area, but Mom's breaks the mold. Well worth the travel time to get there. Yes, they may not have an enormous fresh produce section, but that is more than made up for by an amazing variety of other products, from bread, to meat and cheese items, to any plant-based product that you can imagine. Besides unique staples, many not found in other places, there is even a great selection of health and beauty products. The space is so beautiful and immaculate that I have a tough time figuring out how they do it. Best of all, it is TRANQUIL, which is something that rarely describes any supermarket venue. Add to this the incredible customer service, a host of recycling bins offered for customers' convenience, and even car recharging stations in Mom's dedicated parking lot, and you get the picture. It is the only market venue I can think of that we actually look forward to visiting. Hope you enjoy it too! read more

My new favorite place to shop although the producers a bit expensive it's just a fun place to go it's like when whole foods just opened.. everybody is so friendly and they also have sometimes some great deals you can't find anywhere else. I love MOM's because it's like the Jews or the Quakers - it doesn't proselytize. I heard about MOM's after a friend brought their delicious freshly baked bread to a get-together. Ever since I first entered the place, I was in love; the lighting was relaxing and uplifting, the music mercifully sophisticated. The staff were polite and genuine in their friendliness. The only problem I have with it is that it's a bit more pretentious than Common Market or Whole Foods, which I think are more down to earth and laid-back. read more
