I agree with the prior review. We went here in April 2016. Beautiful and unique merano glass. I bought a variety of glass beads....all fabulous. We were not pressured into buying. I highly recommend Momylia's. read more

Laggia is the store of Alfred Laggia the local Venetian designer who creates incredibly complex hand made intricate mesh jewellery pieces in his studio in Venice. He makes tiny delicate pieces as well as dramatic large pieces which were a favourite of Gianni Versace in his runway shows. Ask to see the amazing mesh head pieces. Sabrina Laggia (Alfredo's wife) works in the store and can also show you photographs of his larger scale works. Because it is such a tiny store it is easy to pass it by, assuming that it is part of all the usual tourist fare. I highly recommend that you go inside and look at the designs as they are quite incredible. I bought a neck piece and a cuff bracelet both of which are a bit grand for me, but so amazing that I'm sure I will wear them to a special event in the future. If the shop is closed go across the hall to the wine store which they also own and Sabrina will let you in.

But they wanted to charge me 399 euros for shipping an item that cost 929 euros until l reminded them of their free shipping policy for items of 500 euros or more. Then they did me the "favor" of free shipping. They also state on their website that you can pay with credit card or Paypal. But they told me my only option for payment was a bank transfer. I can only assume that if I'd paid with PayPal they'd actually be accountable for their lies. Now I have no recourse and they are ignoring me. When asked about tariffs they said they "word" the invoice in such way that tariffs would be minimal. They also lied about that. I paid $248 in tariffs. Complete lack of transparency by design. During the sale process, they kept communications only through email, despite my request to talk to them. But they initially wanted to charge me 250 euros for an intro call and I refused. That was a red flag but then came all the manipulations. Once I got the coral earrings, the color was not the "deep red" they'd stated and the gold claps is so small that I can hardly grab it to use it. I don't know how such a "luxury" items can have so little god that's not fully functionals. All in all such a bad experience, waste of money and time. Bad energy altogether. They are total frauds. Apparently generations of fraudsters.
