After the monies are almost gone, before you can use it, they turn the remaining balance over to do a lien assessment, this prompts Medicaid to look at benefits you may have had to use earlier are through out you lifetime. Which will cause monies you plan to pass using the trust to be absorbed by the state (medicaid). Another trick of Legacy's, is if we new what "Joinder Agreement" ment, it would be the difference between signing the stupid trust document or not signing. There's more. but it won't all fit here. The point is they need to be stop! Investigated, shutdown, they have and are stealing millions of lay peoples money. People do not know what to do when the three or four trustees stop answering the phone or stop emailing them. There no other way to get in touch with this stupid trust. I discovered that the way that SNT companies invest your monies in pooled trusts are in no way regulated or checked on by the government. The only way government gets involved is to make sure the trustee in charge of the beneficiary is abiding by the state regulations for welfare services: Medicaid, Food Stamps, Tanf. It is an absolute atrocity that this is a fact. I was told to contact the AG of the state the SNT company is registered in to report them.

They made so many silly errors after writing our homestudy that is has cost us several months of waiting and is now the only thing delaying us in being matched with our child. my husband and I myself actually have caught and recognized many of their mistakes that they should have. I have volunteered throughout the city at…read moreseveral different nonprofits in the city and I have to say that this is one that probably touches more lives than any other in the city. What they do here is not a small feat. What goes into to what they accomplish here is many man hours of a dedicated workforce. On top of those that are employed this place also depends on the many that walk through those doors and chip in whenever they can. While here I was told that some of the volunteer days that they have planned are booked months in advance. The facility is top notch and runs like a well oiled machine. However they have said that they have already outgrown this facility space. Even though that may be the case, they don't let that stop their mission. The families that the GPCFB reach are many and without them would not be able to maintain a home life that is perceived as normal. What little you can give is greatly appreciated and there are donation bins inside the front doors. Did you know that they get more donations for items that are considered junk food than healthy food items? That trail mix does seem nutritious, but what really helps them out was that fruits, vegetables, meat and the like.
