I've never had a problem coming here, staff are polite. They've held comics for me when I can't make it on release day several times.

The jolly bearded guy who is always behind the front desk and I presume is the owner has always been very attentive and nice. I am not into comics but my son is your average nerdy 13 yr old. Loves to read and dabbles with them. The only way the store could improve to myself is having a sitting area. Simalar to the designated area outside woman's dressing rooms at department stores where you see groups of husband's holding purses. Yeah, they need a mom area like that because standing in a corner for 30 min while the kid agonizes over which 20, $1 comics he will get is torture. read more

Not the best selection of vintage books in the world, but it's still a good store. Very few toys, but it's not a toy store, it's a comic shop. Good selection for "news stand" stuff with new issues, and a huge selection of graphic novels. The store is well laid out, and easy to navigate. The guys that work there are fantastic, well versed in all things comics and great to chat with. That alone is worth stopping into the shop. read more

I was visiting Toledo and decided to stop in Monarch on the way to a restaurant located in the same strip mall. I didn't even have to look around. The guys grabbed what I wanted and packed it up for me. Well, that was easy. Nice store. Bright, open, and tidy. Four stars. read more

This has to be the hidden gem of comic shops in North west Ohio. They always have what I need. If not they go out of their way to find. Great service will hold book s for you if you can't make it in right away. read more

This is my neighborhood comic book store. There are shops with larger selections, more back issues and toys, but the staff are knowledgeable and approachable, and they will order anything you need. read more

A smaller comic store in Maumee. Nice selection and layout. Friendly service. A good neighborhood comic store but not a destination place.

I went here for Free Comic book day and the staff was wonderful. They even brought in dressed up characters that we were able to get our pictures with! Awesome store! read more

If you are into mainstream comics, this is your place. Neat, well organized and most of what you would want from the big super hero genre. Forget it if you want a wide selection of independents or anything from the likes of Drawn and Quarterly, et. al. Thought the place was out of business from the website being down but still open. read more

While Monarch Cards & Comics doesn't have a huge selection of back issues they do have a huge selection of current comics. The staff is very helpful, friendly and won't hesitate to give suggestions when asked. If there is something you are looking for and can't find it they will do their best to get it for you. It doesn't matter if you are a first timer or a regular. The store is well lit, clean and well organized. read more

Friendly guys, big selection of new comics, not so much older stuff. Very helpful, always clean and easy to move around, not tons of boxes sitting around everywhere. Somewhat willing to deal on older stuff if that is what you are looking for. Free Comic Book Day is always a blast. read more
