There's so much to see inside, with all kinds of book genres all well-organized and easy to search. The staff was incredibly friendly and approached me twice to ask if there was something they could help me find. They knew where everything was and knew sometimes even before they'd look what was on the shelves and what wasn't (or what just sold a couple of days/weeks ago). Finally decided to stop here after driving by the sign for "Books" for literally years. The books are practically floor to ceiling in some areas with many of the shelves being two stacks deep. Books are organized by genre and first letter of author's last name. Genres range from Mystery and Romance to Classics and End Table books. There is also a room full of children's books and a decent selection for young adults. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere of the store. It is relaxed and fairly quiet. No one comes up to ask what you're looking for (although you can ask for specific titles/authors if you need) or eyes you while you're digging through the stacks trying to find exactly what you want. There are several step stools around to help you reach the highest shelves and be sure to grab a shopping basket at the entrance, as you'll likely need one. Remember, all of these books are used and come in varying conditions. All of the books that I purchased were in good to excellent condition. For the price of $3 per book, you can't beat it. He even accepts trade-ins, which then brings the price down to $2 per book, if I understood correctly. He accepts cash and credit. I have no complaints at all and will definitely be going back to gauge how often the stock changes. Thankful to have a used bookstore nearby. What I spent today on 12 books wouldn't have even gotten me 3 at Barnes & Noble.

I went to Shippensburg University and worked in this town for seven years, and never once did I find my way into this shop, but I am so glad that I found it now. It's hidden back an alleyway, and while there's a small sign out front that you can see from the street, you need to know where it is or you'll miss it. The selection available at the Book Junction is truly the best in any shop I've visited. I walked in looking specifically for one book (Neuromancer by William Gibson), and not only did I find it (seriously I've visited 8 other bookstores including Barnes and Noble and none had it), but I also found books five OTHER classic science fiction books I'd been unable to find elsewhere too. Paperback books are generally priced half off of whatever the publisher's price was on the book, which is pretty reasonable. The owner told me this mom and pop shop has been open for 23 years this year. Do yourself a favor and go check the Book Junction out. It's one of the absolute best I've come across and you won't be disappointed!

My husband was interested in used fishing books and interestingly enough they had a nice selection. I think you can also sell books here which is a great way to earn some extra cash on books you no longer plan to read. Definitely a fun stop in this little town.
