Loved this charming bookstore. Great book selection and cards plus kids books. So many I wanted to buy.

What a great bookstore! The selection as well as the atmosphere is terrific. To top it off, the lady in there was so friendly and kind. We stopped by late in the day but she reopened the store just so we could browsed around with the kids. We ended up getting a few books and totes. This is the best bookstore!

One of my favorite finds after moving to Williamsport. Knowledgeable staff and unique books you don't typically see at large chains.

This is truly THE gem of downtown williamsport (okay, co-honors with the Bullfrog brewery).

t's a great place to hang out and browse books. What makes bookstores truly valuable is strong…read morerecommendations, and I always find books I want to read here. The only downside is that they can't compete with Amazon's prices, though they do compare well with Barnes & Noble. That's just the reality of running a brick-and-mortar business. Still, it's always worth a visit. The staff is consistently friendly. My only real critique isn't about the store itself, but more about how Amazon's pricing power can make it difficult for small businesses to compete, making this store feel prohibitively exspenive for a college student (especially for one who has free access to the Paterno Library).

Located right across the street from the Corner Room and Pickle's Tap Room on Allen Street, we were…read moresurprised to see a book store amongst all the bars and bicycle repair stores. My husband can never pass up the change to check out a book store so we stopped in and were greeted by a friendly cashier and quite a large selection of books. Very clean and bright, its a quiet but quaint store that offers best sellers, value books, and a surprising amount of Japanese/high quality notebooks, stationary and pens. I did hear several people asking about what books they carried and the cashier was able to pull books for them or offer let them know when the book was in stock so I imagine they're still getting a feel for what stock to carry. I picked up 2 books from the recommended wall that piqued my interest and look foreword to reading them. Price wise they sell for retail price so on par with the big box stores, so I'd rather support a small business. Its also eerily quiet inside so I'd like some soft background music otherwise I was able to hear every conversation around me. Other than that its a cute small book store in the heart of state college. A nice addition I look forward to visiting on our next trip up

This Barnes and Noble has been my "home away from home" for the past 20 years…read more My favorite place to take my laptop, get a drink & pastry from the café, grab a stack of books/magazines, and spend the afternoon. Despite what other reviewers have said, staff has always been friendly and helpful to me. They also do a great job of keeping their store well-stocked with new and interesting books and products. Prices are probably more than you'd spend at Amazon or Walmart... but any bibliophile will agree that having the ability to hold (and smell) a physical book will always be preferable to online convenience. The only two complaints I really have are that their wooden chairs are extremely uncomfortable... and the store tends to be overly warm & stuffy in the summer months. That said... I will continue to be a frequent patron of this store, as long as it's around!
