The first time I got a full sew in with a frontal and the second time I got a traditional sew-in with leave out (pictures attached). The salon is nice and well kept. Sasha is very friendly, professional, and cares about the overall health of your hair. You can have her wash your hair before styling or come with it pre-washed choice is yours. Either way the price is super reasonable and you will get quality service.

My friend made an appointment with her for a sew-in. Day 1 the sew-in was a mess. She watched youtube the whole time she was doing my friend's hair. She would not let my friend look at a mirror at any time. She completed my friend's hair and charge her $140 and then rushed her out because she stated she had other customers. Just horrible customer service. After I saw my friend's hair, I was furious. My friend reached out to her, and she said to my friend (exact words) "sorry it did not work out for you". Basically Holi gave her horrible service and stole her monies on purpose. She knew she did not know how to do a sew-in. I attempted to reach out to Holi for my friend but she lied and hung up on me. After blasting her on FB and IG, she finally reach out and began telling lies about never receiving any texts from my friend. Of course there is proof. After weeks of ignoring my friend's texts and messages, she states she did nothing wrong and she would do it all over again. She didn't offer an apology or anything. After tons of research and a sort of a spur of the moment decision I decided I wanted to get Sisterlocks. I have a friend that has them and she informed me of some things to look for in a consultant. I visited two people, one a trainee and the other a consultant (Shawn McWhirter with All Tangled Up, LLC). After attending each lady's consultation appointment and receiving starter locs from each, I decided on Shawn. I picked Shawn over the other lady, not because she is certified and the other lady is a trainee, but because Shawn provided a much more thorough consultation and educated me. I had my SLs installed about 3 months ago and I love them more and more each day. I am so happy that I decided to get them and to get them installed by Shawn. She has given me tips and tools for care, been accessible, informative, comforting and an overall joy to be around. I highly recommend Shawn to anyone considering or who already has Sisterlocks. She cares about and gets to know each of her clients. PROS: Homey salon with free wi-fi, snacks and TV. No overbooking or rushed appointments. Easy parking. CONS: I believe she's getting a little too popular. As her availability is less open. Bad for me but good for her.

Shawn did my establishment and I was a faithful customer for many years. As time passed on, she became greedy and wanting to add more clientele than she can manage. The first red flag I should of paid attention to was when she jammed me right before my wedding. I had to find someone else because she was "overbooked". I still went to her for another two years and gradually her attitude became so unbearable, it was like she was doing me a favor in taking my $175 every 5 weeks. She was the first and only SL consultant I went to and although she has recognition on the SL world, her work has become very sloppy. She is only concerned with taking your money. The last straw was recently when she finished 3/4 of my head and told me she had another client. She advised her assistant would call to schedule me. That was 4 weeks ago... ultimately I made the decision to do the big chop after 4 years and I feel so much better. I'm very spiritual and can feel when negative energy is around me and I got tired of carrying it in my hair. I love Sisterlocks and will list likely get a new set in the future from someone who has the time and attention to give to their clients. If you are looking for a stable consultant that you can go through your SL journey with, All tangled up isn't it. This is coming from a long time client... Find someone else.
